I really think that the 5 cups rating is fine how it is. If we're going to go into cups and a half, we'll soon probably get people saying "Why don't the panel use a percentage figure instead?".

If you want a more detailed idea of a game's quality, look at the user ratings. They're there for a reason :).

Come on, let's make this a night to remember :)

(I'm drawing pictures, sorry if I take a while to notice you're there)

I caught Maiden live this year.

I planned to go to one festival but car troubles meant I ended up giving my ticket away. Hopefully some decent bands come by and visit so I can go and catch them - apparently Priest are coming later this year...

These are awesome!

I laughed very much.

Ah, the warning makes perfect sense now. And I completely understand about not wanting to include the swearwords - I initially thought you censored them because you thought people might react badly.

QuoteYou loved my naked avatars, didn't you?

Not that I'll admit to  ;).

I wish you luck for the rest of this game :)

Thanks for your nice comment, matti.

Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll :D

Nice work so far, Miguel - I'm up to 9 points out of 13 but I hope to finish the demo on my own!

Your graphics are definitely getting better, and I really liked the idea of the shooting gallery as well. Good stuff!

I must admit I was a little surprised that you posted an adult content warning at the start and then censored the swear words and the man's crotch. Was there any particular reason for this? The most adult content I noticed was a very vague hint at sex, some images of what I presumed was illegal substances and their associated implements and a man's bare bottom. Considering your avatars in the past, this came as something of a surprise to me.

Anyhow, congratulations on your work so far :).

Excellent work, and what a massive amount of effort this must have taken.

I've done some searching and browsing around and have to say that the ratings seem very, very fair to me from what I've seen.

Thanks for the time and effort, all involved :D.

SuperDre - Thanks for the kind words. I don't really plan on expanding it, but it's nice to know that you consider the game worthy of expansion :).

Neon - Thanks for your nice comment :)

Nostradamus - Thanks - I'm glad that the redneck speech worked well :D. Again, I don't really plan on making more games with Bob just now - maybe sometime in the future, perhaps.

Cino - Thanks - I could do you a walkthrough for the download if you'd like ;). I thought I had a mirror up for it  ??? I'll check again!

I would like to also thank Leon and Neon (heh!) for their reviews which can be found here:

Leon's review on SSH's AGS Blog

and here:

Neon's review on Adventure-Treff (German)

Thanks to you both for doing reviews! :D

Hmmmm.

I can imagine you could get away with playing BG2 with a tablet - you can pause the combat easily enough to issue the commands to the players.

However if you find that you cannot possibly do this with a tablet and MUST have a mouse to play the game, I'd get a mouse.

You could check out a second hand store and get cheaper shorts from there. My brother and I have both purchased clothes in this manner and to my knowledge nobody has ever even commented.

The outlines you've used give fairly good form to the sprite, but the form is lost because we can hardly differentiate between outline and fill colour.

Letting the outlines stand out a little more, as well as using some basic shading, is one method you can use to make the shape of the character seem slightly less understated.

EDIT:

Upped contrast to show this more clearly.

Looks nice, but something about the arms/legs/torso ratio seems slightly off to me. Keep in mind that generally your hands will rest at about mid-thigh level. Then again the arms look slightly bent so if you unbend them you should be right :)

That depends on what program you're using :)

In The Gimp, I'd use the Pencil Tool with 1x1 brush size and 100% opacity. In Paint, hit the line tool and/or the single pixel brush.

You'll have to redo these from scratch if you want a clean pixelled look, but it shouldn't take long and if you use a new layer to draw over it, you can practically just trace the old sprite and colour in the lines.

I thought I commented on this one but now I look I cannot see a comment by me  ???

Anyhow.

Promising screenshots and animation. Only thing I wish is that you'd draw the inventory items rather that photograph them, however as Darth points out this is not the Critic's Lounge and therefore I should not really be mentioning this. ;D

I hope to play this game soon :)

If you want a pixeled look, do not use a filter - it is messy. Draw it with pixels to begin with.

If you want a not pixelly look, keep at it the way you're doing it :)
