Yeah, it was supposed to be a bit longer and I had a whole another room planned out, so that you would lose your senses more gradually and actually use that concept in solving puzzles. An earlier version also had the sense of touch in the GUI and a puzzle relating to not feeling temperature and pain.

I kinda thought this might be the case! Still, it was an enjoyable game without it, and editing in order to finish in time (especially with this level of polish) is quite understandable.

Cool info on the Yahtzee playthrough, thanks!

As for the Prof. Moriarty thing, I don't think anybody knows what it means at this point. :cheesy:

AGS Games in Production / Re: Technobabylon

The game features remade, edited versions of the three freeware games, as well as the entire rest of the story. I'm honestly not sure what the difference is between a remake and a remaster, but we've reworked the old stuff with new graphics, puzzles, music, etc and then added the rest of the story to make it all play as a single game.

I just want to animate Sue...

I just played this and enjoyed it. As with everybody else, I had trouble finding that one hotspot, I think making the colour you used for it would have fixed the issue, really. It's always hard to know if a hotspot is easy to see or not when you already know it's there as a designer, so it's understandable.

Cute game, nice work, and I especially liked the little palette change at the end.

This was super cute, and impressively meaty for a mags game. I enjoyed solving the puzzles, and the writing was pretty fun too. My favourite thing about the neat graphics is when his little nose wobbles when he does things, that's a great touch!

I encountered a small bug, for your info:

Spoiler
Once the rubbish has been flipped onto the floor by the cat, looking at the mess on the floor (right click) will set the view to talking when I walk around. Looking at another hotspot fixes this, so I'm guessing you merely forgot to change the view back.

Thanks for the fun game! :cheesy:

This game is cute ^__^

I think it's a great idea for learning to use AGS, you came up with a design that's pretty simple but still enjoyable enough to complete. Good on you for making your first AGS game, it seems like you have a cool imagination and I hope we'll see more things from you in the future!

A fantastic little game, you clearly put plenty of effort into this. I was impressed at how many custom animations there were, at how consistent the graphics were and the overall quality of the art. I also thought the core concept of losing things was a fantastic idea, even if you ran out of space to utilize its full potential. The idea behind the story was very fun, too. Great work and thanks for the game, I enjoyed it a lot!

I enjoyed this a lot! Great presentation (although in full screen the super low resolution makes my mouse really sensitive, which is really the only drawback of sticking to such a low res in my opinion) and a nice amount of effort gone into things like the text display (bless you for making the speed adjustable). I liked the gameplay, it's a very respectable length and I played through in a couple of sittings while I pondered one of the puzzles. Cool mix of ideas in terms of interacting with the world, I especially like the puzzle in which a riddle was displayed on the screen as you walked, fun stuff. The story was abstract enough to leave me curious but lucid enough to allow me to engage with the world.

Great job overall, it was a superb effort.

Terry Pratchett was a bloody good writer, and his body of work is massive beyond belief. The fact that he wrote so much is a real blessing to those of us who love his words.

I'll still miss him.

The Secret of Monkey Island is really good.

That Eggie guy was telling me this is being amazing just a few hours ago and HE WAS RIGHT.

Amazing work. Keep at it!

Interesting that you should ask this, as the answer to your query is contained in the latest thrilling episode of the BlueCupTools Podcast! :=

Actually I was just discussing the creation of adventure game trailers and how very different they are with someone who was cutting a trailer for a game the other day. Thanks for the suggestion (and nice words!), we'll be sure to discuss it!

And in an interesting counterpoint to what I posted back then, I now use a perspective grid for everything, even clouds. :=

WHAT?

Sorry Eric!

It's a bit of an odd name to remember, I think. Seems very cool in this early stage, though.
