Now that was a cute and entertaining little game, congratulations for making a game really different from all I have played so far.
The only thing I was a bit disappointed of was that it was really short and that there was actually no puzzles in it, so it just took me 10 minutes or so to play it, but I enjoyed these very much and the "to be continued" in the end seems like a very good promise :)

Thank you :) Don't worry, the movement will be quicker in the game, I just found the animated gif procession extremely annoying and I just wanted to show that I can animate a walk cycle with the tools I am using... I also don't think I will go with this extremely had banging.

Thank you to whoever it was that continued this competition for me.  I didn't think it would get anywhere, but I guess I was wrong.
I guess that was me in the last competition, which Mr Colossal won...
You are welcome... just send me some money...or maybe you can contribute to my next game ;)

I am no Aussie either, but I like the movie :)

Maybe you just never played sierra style adventures before? For using one of your items on something on the screen you have to "take it" from your inventory, so one of the cursors will have the shape of the inventory item. When the cursor has the shape of the inventory item you want to use, you must click on the place where you want to use it.
The face icon is for talking to someone, but the woman is, obviously, dead ;)
Oh... and welcome to adventure land  :)

General Discussion / Re:CJ appriciation thread

Well, I am not sure if CJ really is the greatest and nicest guy on earth (would not mind knowing him personally too), but he made a dream of my childhood come true, and I think that puts him in the same group of people which only my parents and maybe some very few other individuals belong too. GOd bless Chris Jones :)

I woke Jon up, talked to Odie and went to the kitchen... what now?

Spoiler
kick Odie

And for the game: This is wonderful. You included so many animations for every action, so much effort :)

And the winner is... MR COLOSSAL!!!!!  :D
I loved what he did, its simple but funny and without any cheap use of sex... mmmh... sex :) Of course he played a little trick on my comic, but I will allow this, only this time, ok ? ;)

Eirc, will you post a new comic or should I make a new one? ;)

Sorry I said that about Dragonball in the other Forum ;)

Did you put the patch into the original download?  :)

This time the comic competition is going very well... two more days left...
and at this point a question which might appear stupid but... do I have to decide the winner ??? ?
#255
Question 1 involves edititing the Guis, which might not be exactly beginners stuff, but you might like to find some monkey island oder indy templates downloadable on the internet to see how it works.

ABout the doors: Just make two different hotspots, one for each of the door. For each hotspot you can decide about the interactions, for a door it would  maybe be "open" or "Walk on" when the doors are opened already, then you can send the player to a different room with each hotspot.

Good luck. The general mood sounds very exciting, I hope you will post some screenshots soon (some people actually get angry when you post here without showing screenshots...).  :)

This is really really good, it has very nice story elements, a nice main character, good graphics... hard to believe its "only" a mags-game. I hope we can see more great games from you in the future :)

Generally it looks really good, well done. But something is wrong about the perspective on the floor. Normally I am really no perspective-fundamentalist, but in your floor there are several points where the lines are running too, hence there are several places where the lines meet and that looks really strange. :)

I think the second one fits in better. The monocle does not really fit the SS I think. Both look really great by the way, why do you never make the graphics for my games? ;)

From the information you provided it's not really easy to find out what your problems might be. The first thing that came into my mind is the question whether you really put walkable areas onto your screen before stating to script the cutscene.
If thats not the problem, maybe you could post exactly what script you wrote for you cutscene or what you did in the editor to build up the cutscene, then we could be able to help you.
