Competitions & Activities / Re:December MAGS

As Mats stated before:

The main-character must wear it all the time. About the existing characters, not everyone but most of them, it's okay to make up characters but at least three must be extisted like I said. Also, the main-character must be an existing character like Bernard, Guybrush, Elwood Blues, Goofy etc.

I like this a lot. It's a very unique concept and the comments made by jellyfish made me really laugh. I wish you good luck for the rest of the game  :D

hey, take it easy. In 60 years you will demand your granddaughter to wear trousers because "girls look so ugly in space-suits!"  ;D

Hello,
I think there are several possibilities. Until now I was too lazy to do opening doors, so I am not sure which is the most convenient, but you could make the picture of the opened door a single object, which appears at the position of the door as the result of your action opening the door. Then you can make a player-stands-on-object condition resulting in moving to the next room. Open, sesame !  ;D

Voting is difficult this time because there are some interesting works but not all the games followed all the posted rules.....  ???

Yes, I would consider that as an important aspect when deciding for whom to vote  ;) Oh, I voted already...

It may be more work to arrange them like that, but then you can reuse the arranged sheet...

Hell, that's brilliant. I feel stupid...  :-[

You need to import sprite by sprite. You can use the tile-import in case the sprites are arranged well on the sprite sheet, but normally arranging them like that is more work then just import them one by one anyway.

What you can do is select the pink box, then go up to the Selections drop down. Then go down to Invert, which will select everything but the pink box.

Thanks, that was just the thing I was looking for :) Thank you so much :)

The magic wand will select the entire pink box only, and you can then copy it to clipboard and paste elsewhere, if that's what you're asking.

No, that's exactly not what I mean. I want to copy everything which is NOT pink box :)

Hey SSH! I will join the nomination... Sure I will! I´m talking seriously, I want to know what would happen if the queen receives 1000 or 1337 mails of people demmandiong CJ to be Sir!  8)

Lord Chamberlain: "Your majesty, we recieved 1337 emails demanding that a subject with the name Chris Jone should be made a Sir!"
The Queen: "What's an email?"

Hello you most honorable and beloved experts of paint shop pro... let's say I have made the graphics of my characters. its the little man and around him is the pink background. Now I can try to cut him out by hand or by the box, but is there any funktion which allows me to cout out everything except the background in one step, so I could paste it as a new graphic having excact the height of the character I drew?

I finally added this to the AGS games page.

http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=304

whee.

Didn't you upload it twice...? It says under "Other Games made by David Gilbert": "Bestowers of Eternity"  ???

I found time to play it this weekend, and wow, Dave you are the best man on the forum. I love the main character, her moodiness and her shyness. And the story really develops like a nightmare. The only thing I hate is that it ends just the moment it really gets exciting. I can't wait to see more and hope you can make it next year.

In General I wouldn't think 15$ are too much, but even most of the professional adventures are dumbed priced at the moment, runaway, monkey island 3, Larry7, very very cheap, and compared to them 15$ might look expensive, even though its a new game. I would not underestimate the psychological effect of "9,99" :)
Good luck with your game! Can you show any samples already?

Seems like Holland took away all the skilts from the Scots  ;D Congratulations, I wasn't happy German fans had to sing "We go to Worldcup without Holland" a few years ago. Now lets go together and kick Bulgarian Ass  ;)

Looks exciting  :o Are those photos or do you use some 3D-Graphic Software?

Edit: Ooops, you wrote you used photos in your first post. I need glasses  8)

Hehe, it always cracks me up when Rah rahs complain that "League is such a simple game" [and I know DG isn't complaining].

Rugby is so middle class is becomes  derived from that most middle lass of professions, law. Whatever bizaare interpretation of the rules you can get the ref/judge to turn in  favour makes you win, not the glory of competition.

Having 18 different penalties to possibly give either side at each ruck is complexity I guess, whcih working class people can't understand.

But soccer is simpler still, and it has an expected supremacy.
Just a note, for all the hoo hah the ARU has had other Rugby exapanding, the RWC, held in Australia and in which Australia was always a contender, has received lower television ratings than another world cup last year in which we weren't even a part.
I was too busy to watch rugby because I tried to understand the magic of Cricket  ;D
By the way, did you know that the German Female Football (Soccer, for you Americans...) Team beat Portugal 13:0 !!!!!! WOW!
