Yes.
That said, finish RK2 or I'll hate you.

Maybe the references are so smart you don't get them ;)
I mean, I didn't get the Requiem for a Dream spoof in the Ribwich episode. And I still don't. :D

Incredible. It looks a bit too much like Guybrush though. Maybe if you changed his hair color...

Oh no, milk it for all its worth, until we end up with Homer going to the moon once a week

Ok, now you're just being silly. The writers have SOME limits. Homer involved in space travel? That's just crazy.

As I've said before, I don't think the Simpsons is turning bad. It's just changing style. It used to be so that a simple, suburban family type plot would do, but the writers obviously had more fun on the wilder episodes, so nowadays it's prefered. The humor is still tops, IMO. There are problems, such as the overuse of celebrities, and the stories could flow a lot better, but it's still hilarious enough to keep me tuned in. And isn't that what the Simpsons is all about? ....Pleasing Neil Cicierega?

I think it's just not balanced right... The leg on the left seems to take longer pulling back, and the left on the right takes longer moving forward. Oh well, when he's in motion you won't really be able to tell.

By the way, this isn't the Critics forum, but you should probably delete a couple of frames from the walk animation. His left leg seems to take longer to take a step than his right.

Cool, nice style. I think you might want to make their eyes a little smaller and perhaps make their expressions less happy and more neutral, because they look a little deranged :)

By the way, does John Flankberg know John Flansburgh? :)

Well, the reason I liked Lilo and Stitch was because it WASN'T a huge emotional investment, it was just a fun, cute movie and yes, about 30 times better than Disney's recent films.
I would like to see Spirited Away some time, though. I guess what turns me off from most anime probably is the cultural difference. Japanese characters express emotion in a different way, and a lot of anime just strikes me as too serious, too messed up (Excel Saga), or too juvenile (Pokemon). I would like to know if there are any anime series you could recommend though, which you think I might like.

Slowly turning into hentai. But it's good. :)

Remember, I could easily do some voices. :) Maybe even Hirum himself.

I still love it. :)

Excuse the next couple of paragraphs, they're a rant, but there's a real question at the end:
My problem with anime/manga is most of it is either WAY too serious and melodramatic, or full of rather uncomfortable foreign humor. And by foreign I mean hard to relate to.
And also the fact that there isn't much visual diversity. With western cartoons, and comics to an extent, each one usually has its own unique style (Simpsons, for example.) In Japan they seem to only have several studios which all operate based on the same techniques and rules. Are there any independant animation studios in Japan that don't use the traditional manga look?

That would be Home Movies, from the creators of Dr. Katz. Newer episodes don't have the squigglyness anymore, though.

What?!! 3D??!! Nooo.... One of the things I loved about Armageddon was how unique the graphics were. Those screenshots look slightly poopie. :(

Thanks for the thoughts.
Anyway, I really needs some tips for drawing interior scenes. And not necessarily traditional straight simple rooms, since the architecture in Suspico is all going to be somewhat slanted and strange. Not in a cartoony DOTT sort of way, but in an island-populated-by-gothic-people-who-don't-know-anything-about-architecture sort of way. :)

Here's part of my unfinished attempt in this room:

I started out with basic shapes (like on the left) and then use low opacity pencil tool to add details and shading. Then I tweak and adjust with Burn and Dodge kind of tools, but the end result just isn't very good. I'm considering expirementing with scanned drawings, I'll see how that work out. In the meantime, are there any tips anyone could give me on interior art, wood in particular?

PS, I will diminish some of the light edges on the fireplace, as suggested. I just think fire light is pretty :)
