I liked Unscrewed.
Maybe only because they showed my animations.
This really sucks though. :\

"American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. Very awesome, I definitely recommend it to everyone. Unless you're under 16 and/or easily offended by sex, language and gore.

I tend to agree with some of his other points... Anime is usually too damn melodramatic and intense, which annoys me. Comedic anime tends to be far too off the wall and incoherent (it just doesn't translate over into English very well, IMO.) Most anime I've been shown didn't hold my interest, and I think it's overrated, as a genre.
(I do really like Hayao Miyazaki's movies, though.)

I like the Small idea. Using CGI to turn famous actors into midgets is the next big thing.

Wow. I remember that particular scene, but not the rest of the movie. I think it disturbed me when I was little and stuck in my head for all these years. I was actually thinking of it recently and wondering what movie it was from.

The Princess Bride perhaps? Not really lame, but it has a certain charmingly cheesy tone.
Here's a good one: Big Trouble in Little China. YEAH.

My default-- Converse All Stars, of course.

I've seen that animation posted in a few other places, too.
Nobody can figure out where the heck it came from. I want to know.

Archangel and MrColossal: Okay, I figured there would be rap songs like that. What I meant was, I want to hear a song like that break the top 40, and permanently change the expression of all other gangsta rap to come.
But that won't happen, because it's not as marketable. Nah, I just wish black culture would regress back to funk. Funk was so much better.

Edit--sorry, the mp3 wouldn't download, actually. Point still stands, there are decent-minded rappers, but they're neither trend followers nor trend setters.

There's still a huge difference. Violence is never about enjoying yourself. It's just pure negativity.
#191
Why does "violence" keep getting lumped in with "sex and drugs"? I think it's a shitty replacement for "rock and roll". At least sex and drugs feel good, even if they can lead you down a completely wrong path.

A lot of gangsta rap displays its own brand of ignorance. I'd like to hear a rap song with at least a vague sense of morality, something that's about getting away from the drugs and violence rather than embracing it. This genre may expose children to the problems of ghetto life, but it doesn't describe them as actual problems often enough.

Come to think of it, BTTF's style of time travel would be more suited for an adventure game. The 12 Monkeys/Bill and Ted style of an ultimately linear timeline needs to be designed as such by the author, and doesn't lend itself to player control.
#194
Depends on whether you believe in free will or not. I guess I'm not sure.
BTTF's "fading away" was still pretty silly.

I hate LucasArts.

I think Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was a more realistic depicition of time travel, really. BTTF, although a great series of movies, was loaded with too many paradoxes and inconsistancies. Bill and Ted, however, dealt with an unchangable timeline and everything worked in a perfect circle in the end. Screw that "accidentally preventing your parents from getting together and then fading away" crap. Bill and Ted was more like 12 Monkeys, where everything that happens is supposed to happen and always did happen. Rock.

Ah. Well, I thought you implying that she was lying about the coincidence.
Still, the joke could turn a bit sour. Especially since April Fool's is over.

Cool quiz, by the way. :D

Er, okay. It's not like another human has any right to keep her personal life private or anything, right?

I think there's nothing inherently wrong with marijuana. (At least not much. It's certainly much cleaner than alchohol or tobacco.)
The problem is, there's something really appealing about it for dumbasses. Stupid kids who want to go out and party and get fucked up. These are the ones who fuel the "gateway drug" theory. But it's not the drug's fault-- its their behavior, which drives them towards all sorts of drugs. Marijuana just happens to be the most common "light" drug, so they end up discovering it first.
Even though I don't do it myself, I think it's perfectly okay for someone to use marijuana if their intentions are simple, personal, and not self-destructive.
Pot doesn't make you stupid... the vocal part of its fanbase was stupid to begin with.

I checked out your soundfonts earlier today. I must say, they are pretty damn awesome, especially the drums. Better than most of my existing collection. Great job!
