General Discussion / Re:The Art Bible

I don't know if it's my favorite, but I love the art in animations from Bitter Films. It's so simplistic, yet instantly recognizable and extremely demented.

Oh, also, Steve Purcell's artwork is too damn cool.

Aw, thanks.
I think Geoffkhan is my favorite. He keeps rocking the Tune Contests. He's my mortal enemy.
Edit: Oh, this isn't just about musicians? Well in that case, sorry Geoffkhan. Hmm... I dunno... DGMacphee. He never fails to be wacky. Sometimes annoyingly wacky, but in a good way.

My point was never that you're wrong for disliking MI4. It was that this thread represent's Fizz's techincal problem, and it's no help at all to just butt in with your opinion and nothing else. The topic of MI4's quality is long dead, and if it isn't it should be. I enjoyed the game, but I'm not even going to defend it because that's not what this is about.

as far as Fizz's problem, I'm not sure what to say. Pirated copies aren't always stable, and there's something messed up about it there's probably not much you can do. I think posting screenshots might be a good idea though.

I'm not saying you're dorks because you hate MI4. I'm just annoyed that whenever the game is brought up, somebody just HAS to pipe in and remind us all that they didn't like it.
I specifically chose the word "dorks" because I don't consider it to be a very harsh insult. Sorry if you took it wrong.

Don't you dorks have any restraint? It was a tech question about the game. He didn't ask, "Hey, did any of you think MI4 sucked? Because I haven't heard it all a million times before!"

Everybody's just naming their personal favorites. There's a difference between the "greated adventure game of all time" and your personal favorite. For example, I'd say Gabriel Knight is a better game than Sam and Max, even though Sam and Max was one of the first adventure games I played and holds a special place in my heart and all that.

Wow, I love the demo. That's such a nifty style.
I bet, with a little programming, you could make the walls fade in and out instead of blinking on and off. Unless the game's only 256 colors...

If you make a midi file, none of it is real instruments anyway. It's just recorded samples pitched up and down. You can take a complicated piano part and play it with the sitar if you want. And if it sounds good, then why not go with it?

that "Bam" show... you mean Iran's earthquake coverage?

You guys are ruining music for me.

Actually, I don't want to start that argument up again.  ::)

Is Revenants still in production?

All he needs to do is teach AGS how to write its own code and we're all screwed.

General Discussion / Re:BEER!!!

Yeh, I don't like beer either. I prefer drinks that are pleasing to my sense of taste. If anything needs to tap directly into your brain and alter your perception just for you to enjoy it, I don't think it's worth it. Could I sell a big steaming jar of cat vomit if it gave people enough of a buzz?

Oooh. Inigo Montoya, from the Princess Bride.
#297
C'mon.
Grim Fandango.

A muted trumpet is still a trumpet though... If I were to record a live trumpet, would I be able to use a muter thing?
Not that I have one...

Because everything you post tends to start a flamewar.

So they had to cross down to get to the mainland. So technically USA was discovered by Canadians.
