General Discussion / Re:CJ is not Jesus

I can stand a little religious element in a few members...
Bodyart, that's just blatant flamewar provocation. This is CJ's forum, so in the end it's his call, and he's never supported personal attacks like that.
Non-Christians should be as tolerant as they wish Christians would be. If you think WanderLady is annoying, look up Fred Phelps.

We have the right to joke about religion... WanderLady has as much right to ask us to stop. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you should never accept responsibility for what you say and who it offends.

My parents have been watching a lot of old black and white movies on the Turner Classics channel lately. I've haven't really been very interested though, most of them are just about white upper class married couples.
My favorite b&w film is "Ed Wood". It certainly beats the pants of any of Ed Wood's actual films... it's a "classic" to me.

I do occasionally. It's a classic! Or at least it will be as soon as the 90s alternative-grunge era nostalgia begins. The nostalgists are going through the 80s right now (see VH1.)

Speaking of TechTV, anybody watch Unscrewed with Martin Sargent? They've showed a couple of my animutations. It's cool.

I haven't noticed any large signatures. Good god, you folks are babies. Look at this: http://www.somethingawful.com/weekendweb/11-02-2003/bigsig.gif

Congrats m0ds.

Ghormak: I'm not sure what you mean by the eigth note in the intro... As for bass frets and stuff, I would've, but I don't really have any good bass fret samples. Oh well.
If anyone's interested in listening to what I've done with my song, here's the MP3. Other than my voice, it's still completely programmed.

General Discussion / Re:Guitar Peformance
Mon 03/11/2003 21:38:52
I'm used to recording and composing to create a recorded song, not performing to entertain the audience... but I have performed a couple of times. This summer I sang a couple of my songs in front of an audience at a local school library's music night thing. I basically just sang with backup tracks playing, although I did take out the kazoo and went crazy on it briefly (to applause!) and the second song featured a deliberately terrible and surreal solo on a little kid's mini-guitar. I think the audience was amused, if a little underwhelmed.
I also played keyboards for a friend's band at a concert in August. It went very well and I wasn't particularly nervous. We'll be playing out again this month. I'm excited.

Personally, the Evil Dead movies are some of the few "horror" films I'd watch (I've currently only seen AoD)... I'd rather be laughing than scared. Why pursue fear?

I usually enjoy Halloween, but tonight I'm just plain depressed. I have nothing to do.

Looks kind of like she's giving him a bloody wedgie.

Well, who cares. I got my entry:

Yellowfish

Enjoy!

Why limit it to MIDI? It's too subjective. I might make something that sounds incredibly realistic on my soundcard, but not on Geoffkhan's.

Dear DG,

Can I have Bubba's autograph?

I still have Incredible Machine 2. I'm pretty sure half the puzzles I made were designed to torture Mel Schlemming.

We bought the set today and I just watched Raiders....
wooooh. I love that movie. I love them all. No bothersome edits that I noticed...

By the way, what's the "Han shot first" thing about anyway? I've seen it mentioned a few times, but never with proper explanation...

With the prowess of a seasoned samurai and the wisdom of a wizard, you try to do the sort of things that root out evil.
