Maybe there should be a log bot. How often is Rog not in the room? Maybe he should publish his log to a webpage, that way people wouldn't feel the need to personally log everything. It's not like they're missing much anyway, just a bunch of people saying "how com nobodies talking????????????????////"

Gonna miss that crazy clutzy fauxomosexual bachelor chef.

Often, more than half of the people in the channel are idle. It's just sort of annoying. There's rarely a point to leaving IRC running for so long while you're not even there. I'd rather have a clear understanding of who's actually active. I don't think there'd be any harm if Roger kicked people out if they've idled to long, just to keep the list fresh. They can always re-enter.
Maybe Roger could have a temporary whitelist function if you have a specific reason to remain in the channel for extended periods without contributing to the conversation...?

Where's the demo? Your website is perplexing.

Incredible post, Dave.
It really interests me what a wide array of personal stories there are regarding 9/11. My experience was rather mundane, and unemotional. Reading about people who broken down and cried as they watched it all unfold, I can totally understand it, but I personally was not affected very much. I just kept myself informed and managed to avoid panic. I even have relatives in NY, but I found out they were all right before I had time to worry about them. I still thank my lucky stars that I don't have a personal reason to feel sadness today. Only respect.

Actually, I usually think module songs sound rather 80s-ish. But that mostly because a lot of people use really old, cheesy samples. If you have a good midi card, it doesn't sound 80s-ish at all.

The problem is, this sort of thing doesn't suit itself to certain styles of games. Mostly Sierra's style, actually. You don't have to write much down in LucasArts games, but the puzzles are intricate enough and the story is fleshed out enough to make the game last and keep your interest. Their puzzles were still challenging, but never quite hang you up-- if you can't figure out one puzzle, there's usually a few other puzzles available that you can wander between.

I don't need to shave yet. It's probably because of all the female hormones they put in the milk. And also genetics.

I dunno. No band will keep the same style forever, whether they're mainstream or not. If you don't like it, the fact that it's become popular is often a scapegoat.

heh evil... it rings a bell, but unfortunately I haven't seen that movie for years. :(

As for Homestar... well, it's hasn't really caught on in "real life" or anything. For Pete's sake, back in the day people were just fine with liking semi-obscure things. Why does everybody have to be into ultra-obscure things now? In about ten years, I bet as soon as you find someone else who likes something you like you'll have to ditch it and find something else to like.

I just like it. It's the new Electric Boogaloo of the phony-sequel-names world.

Blue Cup 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Eh, too cliche.

Blue Cup 2: This Time, It's Not Blue Cup 1.

Yeah, that's the ticket!!

I use Cakewalk, and although I have a midi-capable keyboard, I prefer to put the notes in by mouse. It's slower, but you have total control.

I have a friend who adores Godzilla and will be pleased to see this game...

Hey Chis, long time no see!

Oh, Auhsor, know what would be really cool? If you gave us these guys' full names. Numbers and addresses too, if you want.
