Or like Mr. T and his mom.

If you can work 5 hours straight on a game, then you can take the rest of the day off and work another 5 hours tomorrow.
The way you construct your games might be a problem though. Don't just jump into making art and programming once you come up with an idea. Instead, just write everything down in Notepad (or Wurd Problems) and get your whole game, with all the puzzles, characters and locations worked out, so you have a plan to follow. If you try to mix the creative process with the labor process too much, it can kill your interest in the game.

Where you live: Kingston, Massachusetts
Where you could travel to: Probably anywhere in New England.
Where you would like Mittens to be: Probably anywhere in New England.
Can you help locate places in your area for places to stay?: I know of some nice RV parks, I doubt all of us would fit into an RV though. There are plenty of other camping-type places around here, though.

If you're gonna use Retina Games, consider lengthening it to "Detached Retina Games"... :D
I think StareWare's the best though.

I just photoshopped his face on, but I DO own a Bob Ross T-shirt. A friend got it for me at Hot Topic. :)

Does it matter? It's not like any of us could manage to stay historical accurate anyway.

Eh, I'd give up on it. The word "gay" used to mean a completely different thing, might as well let it devolve into an insult and let some other word fill in the role of the "common homosexual synonym"

Actually, most of the Gen posts today have been in this very thread... hmm.

Programs like Cakewalk don't require any keyboards. You can just place the notes manually, it's easier than you think.
Also, unless you're planning on selling your game, there's not really anything wrong with using midis from other games. Plenty of AGS games do it.
Check out the MIDI collection in my signature, though. You're welcome to use it.

How about Retina Games?

Well, just listen to the end of http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Secret_of_Monkey_Island_2_Monkey_Brain_Soup_for_the_Soul_OC_ReMix.mp3
Listen to the whole thing, actually.

Guess this doesn't count as an entry, since I created the song about a year ago.

Heh, I rented Armouoour of God recently on Netflix. It was pretty good... I gotta see more 80s Jackie Chan movies. Personally, though, I like Shanghai Noon/Knights the best...

As I said before, P:DA did one raw emotion very well-- the creepy sense dread in all of the murder scenes. A lot of it had to do with the music, and even the graphics.
The characters could've been a lot stronger though, and I know how. It's in the dialogue. It should've lightened up a bit, most of it was too business sounding. You need to have your characters voice their opinions, and constantly exude their personal sentiment. Unless it's part of their character to be docile, in which case they simply don't say much at all. When you understand what your characters are all about, emotion comes a lot easier.

What about Pleurghblurgh? I think it succeeded in being a great game with its engrossing mystery storyline and puzzle design, but it didn't really have much emotion going for it, other than the thick sense of dread around the murder scenes. There's hardly any character development, but the game is incredible anyway.

Reminds me of RPGCreator's alleged game...

Hmmm.. it's hard to imagine a game that huge, anyway. The only story I can think of that could be big and legendary enough would be Lord of the Rings... in excruciating detail.

No, just set the end date a week from today, (or whenever you start the contest).
