I figure what with all the posts about newbie turmoil, cancer, and car crashes, I may as well divulge my problems.
I've been getting sort of depressed. My life is not very tragic at all, but it's the boredom that gets me. I'm homeschooled, and don't have much of a social life outside of my family and neighbors. This summer in particular has been getting me down. Every day my basic options are to be on the computer, watch TV, or just sit around outside. Sometimes it's just so boring that I lose all my energy, and get depressed for a few hours. Right now is one of those times.
All I ever do is wait, but I don't know what I'm waiting for, which is not a good feeling at all. If all you ever do is kill time, then you're probably going get morbid. (That might make a good signature quote, folks.)
I can't think of anything to do. I'd like to meet people, but I don't exactly see kids roaming around in the street. Am I supposed to break into peoples houses and force them to make my acquaintance? Face it, the only true social hotspot for teenagers is the frickin' public school system. Maybe I could hang out near the high school every day and phone in bomb threats. I guess you'd call that "anti-social socializing".
Kids don't have much interest in knowing anybody who doesn't know their friends. I don't really know anybody, so I'm out of luck. I do have a good friend who's in the school system and knows a lot of people, but he's just not reliable and has never really been much help. Plus, he's in Georgia right now.
So there you are. My social life is close to nil, what can I do about it?
If you say "go back to school" I will kill you.

He shows up on the Daily Show every once in a while. Usually pretty funny.

Yeah, Sierra invented the graphic adventure, but LucasArts instilled some theory and a sense of cinematics into it. Sierra games didn't really have much of a plot, they were more like serials or something. In the 90s, though, they started taking a little inspiration from LucasArts, and made some great games, like Gabriel Knight...

Flippy, whenever you know lyrics of a song but don't know the title, Google is your friend. The Coldplay song is called "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face"...

Y'know, if I may be a conceited ass for a moment, I'd like to say that either "Mold en Mono" or "Mr. Wolfgang" on Lemon Demon's upcoming new CD is the best song of 2003. Perhaps even of all time.

How's that for hype? ;D

Well, you don't have to draw any nudity. Use your imagination... Draw Ron Jeremy with Groucho glasses, or something.

Yes, it's a well known fact that people on the internet will lie just to get people arguing. And people will exaggerate to "make a point" :)
Take www.landoverbaptist.org for example. While the satire of that site is a little more blatant, a lot of people think it's for real. The internet is anonymous, so how long would it take for someone to realize they could get even more people bickering if they made a site like that without the satire? To me the anti-porn guy's website looks like he just listed as many unpopular (on the net) opinions that he could think of.
Even if it is real, there's no way someone like that could make it into office. Politics are sort of wishy-washy if you haven't noticed. This guy's views would offend even most Christians.
As for OneManArmy, he could easily be trolling too. But to play the devil's advocate... I don't think lusting for 15 year old girls is even classified as pedophilia, and it's certainly no where near as bad as true pedophilia, necrophelia, or bestiallity. Especially if you're still in your 20s, which OneManArmy may be... It IS probably better off illegal though, but there are liberal countries where the age of consent is 16, and they don't seem to have too many problems. Is 15 worse?

AGGGHHH that's too good :)

I really like the second picture. Surreal...
I'm currently developing a possible game idea about two semi-gangsters (more like anti-gangsters, actually), hope it's not too similar.

Sort of. I like classical music, but I prefer contemporary music and personally think it has has more unexplored potential than classical. Obviously what you hear on the radio is mostly homogenized crap, but with contemporary music, creative ingenuity is much more blatent. It may have less instruments than classical, but those few instruments can be ecclectic as the artist wants. It's hard to find any utterly bizarre classical music. Utterly bizarre can be good. Very good.
Interestingly, some of the best contemporary songs have a certain orchestral vibe to them. Classical music is a good influence, but I guess I just prefer the modern bastard lovechild of classical music that we call rock and roll.

Oh no, Classical geeks!!
My favorite song of 2003? I don't know... Genius In France, by Weird Al Yankovic.

I think that website is probably a hoax. It's really just a bit TOO much, and it definitely reads like it was designed to get people angry.
The only part I even remotely agreed with was about alchohol and tobacco. Evil, evil stuff, I don't think either should be banned, but certainly wish that people stopped relying on such substances.
