:D Yes boet! Wat 'n verassing! Baie nice om te weet ander ZApies is ook into AGS! I'll definetely check out the games you participated in... thanx for the kudos!

Bloody hell, I can understand all this! Why are you talking Dutch anyway?

Anyway, I agree with CaptainBinky, you don't need to use dithering that much. Oh, and I'd add that the reflection of the trees in the water might me too strong, at least that's how I see it.

I used ACID Pro for a while. It was good, but had only this 30 days try out period, I think. After that I think I've been playing out with Quartz Audio Master, but that's a bit crappy, well, good enough, but *hard* to use. I don't even know if that's free anymore...

So I'd suggest ACID pro... but... the best one's you get from the local shop...

Have to say I had never heard of this guy before this.

But I guess I know how you all feel. I felt the same when they stopped making Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. and I was a kid then. Blimey :'(

So, what is this. Well, I know there are more of us who want to bleed on paper with a pen. This is the perfect chance rewoken, as wished but never happened. Just like the communist revolution. I'm referring to this here, yessiree, indeed: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=18519.msg225471#msg225471

You have one week in which to submit your entries after which there will be 3 days of voting. This is subject to change depending on how you think it should work.

This time the subject shall be: a magic spell or/and sniffing drugs
Do your best, and make me enjoy this as much as you will!
tHe contest will take place between 4th and 11th of September

Well, that must be painful for the back... If it wasn't a robot that is. still,. the legs seem so long, he looks like he should be walking with 2 feel, but for some reason was determined to use hands too.

I thought I'd comparte it to this fellow here, but he seems like he's back is going to start aching, so...

I really like this music. It's not shit as I assumed ::) I like their ideas and especially the guitar things... but I really don't like the singer. I don't know why, but I really don't like it. sooo... I'll happily listen to the instrumentals again :)

I use Guitar Pro, but it's not free. It's probably your best midi program choice if you are a guitarist though.

It's not? uh oh... well... anyway

I use my guitar to compose... (occasionally my mouth organ)

and then I struggle with GP for a while trying to write them on notes but realise everything has to be done with tabs to make it properly work, and then it destroys the feeling of the song. By that time I'm so frustrated I decide either to throw the song into carbage or write it down on notes, on paper... Or as it happens sometimes, my brother writes it down on GP, he's one of those who master the program, even though he plays the bass.

OH, and I was introduced to Midi maestro, but it didn't work at all, so I will not suggest that.

Actually the handbag looks better than the lame 80's camera.

Anyway, exactly mypoint. nothing is impossible, thanks for showing it when I'm busy atm, maybe next week when I get the back view done.

Quote from: Ben304 on Fri 01/09/2006 17:15:52Oh, and can I add that I think that those are the best sprite sandals I've ever seen? Tuomas, you are truly the sprite sandal king. Ok guys, its not THAT strange to be impressed with sandals. Guys? Guys????

:D :D :D Apparently the fact that I wore bloody bad sandals for 6 weeks somewhere helped me achieve something. Thanks for recognition.

That this post would not seem in vain, I say I shall update with new sprites soon...

Na indeed, M0ds couldn't have said it better.

Though seriously, I learned to know a lot of people in real life, then when I was not able to meet them afterwards, I gave them my msn, and most of them are *really* annoying. So people in internet and irl... well, I don't think they're keeping up an act, just the inner defences etc are different. Like we have mental borders that prevent us from doing stuff, and some of these are gone when we're in internet and/or when we're out there in the streets.

Besides, we have this sms chat on tv everynight where people send one-liners and pay too much. Then it's surprising how many times you see a message saying something like "are you stupid to send a message here and pay so much for it" or "only losers send here", while that's what they're doing. The same thing when you're looking for internet dating things, or similar, or just have such occasions, it does not mean that you are THE ONLY SENSIBLE person there doing the same thing. "Ok, I can look for company on internet, but I will be the only normal person here." and I thing a lot of them think like that.

I actually know 2 people who now are married for 3 or so years and happy, after having met in internet dating service. Not that I would use one anyway :)

But I did once call a girl and her boyfriend answered... The bitch!

Thomas, I feel for you. that's frustrating... did you have a chance of asking her what's this all about, her not showing and saying she's single?
#1991
well you asked for it ;D

I think I agree with Sir Pires. And I don't see why it wouldn't be possible just show pictures of AGS games as a intro or as an introduction thingie that comes with the package. It's not like AGS makes you a good artist or anything, you still have to draw them yourself, but a little fooling and eyecandy could make people think otherwise.

You can't win in this silly thing >:(

Actually I've got a lot of help with different proportions, but mainly from #AGS, where I asked as well. It's easy to have these sprites here where they can go and see them and then give crits, and other people can comment on them too. I think you notice thgat I've changed the sprite every now and then, after getting some advice. But please forgive me for ignoring your comment on starting the whole thing again while the others have encouraged me to do a few minor changes to reach the best alternative, that I think I have here now.

Flosk, this sprites look a lot like the ones SSH does, so, they are not very original...

Haven't really seen the ones he does, but I reckon Flosk meant the original one in the first post.

Sprites must have 16 colours as much.

Oh, ok, I'm sorry, I didn't notice that, is that in the forum rules or somewhere else?

What an intriguing idea. Yet anyhow as this will be in my first game I don't want to try anything revolutionary. Keep it simple said the priest when... etc...

Well here's some changes. As Eagermind and many others pointed out, I also realised the eyes are too high, so behold... and I did some little things and a back view (which I left out because it appears to be horribly wrong :-[ :
#1999
To pop this up, I'm trying to make a front view to her as well. I believe that once this is ready it'll be all easier. So give me your comments on this one, thanks.

Somehow I didn't get the same grip to my pen as last time, maybe because I didn't have a hangover this time ::) But still...

So when's this film eventually going to reach the shores of Finland?
