Don't know about speeding it, but possibly add some variation in the hits, as you now have mostly one quarter hits most of them, the bass for instance. And that tends to get on ones nerves pretty quickly. Basically it gives the image of something like tok tok tok tok, like a headache. Not that this isn't good, I'm not saying that, but perhaps some little milder weapons, ie instruments, and try and make the melody go forward, because I had troubles in catching what it was like, mostly what I heard was notes after each other. Don't make that mistake, write a complete melody. You have a great start here, carry on :D

A nice tune indeed. I thought I noticed some off scale notes in the end of it, but then I listened again and didn't.

Anyway, I don't know what the intro shall be like, but if it was a song, I'd try and add some climax to the end. Better even , I'd make the melody more whole so that it'd be easier for one to catch it. But this is great for an intro. when you have the intro ready, you might want to think of what I said, and think if it really suits. Most likely it will, and I'm just talking bs here, but anyways.

This looks very great and innovative. The idea of including a real city in the name and all intrigues me. Maybe I'll copy you in one of my great stories. Nah, I'll try not to. Anyway, like how it looks, keep up the good work.

Pssibly to indicate the scaling and the depth. I love how it looks very hypnotic and would eagerly play it, were it not only in Portugese. And sorry to tell you, but what I know of, there aren't that many Portugese memmbers in this community anymore.

By hypnotic I mean that some of the trees and details are very sharp whereas some are quite blurred, as in tree trunks - leaves, or rocks - grass. I like the feeling of it, though the sky doesn't look quite as stormy as the sea. Cool ship inall.

Please let us know if this ever comes out in English.

Well, the house is not tall enough for the inside to fit. And I don't know if you want it, but the garden seems utterly large to the left, this is not the kind of garden I see here, but surely it can be bigger, at home we had 2000m2

...
Jimi Hendrix
Jim Morrison
Pekka Streng

The list goes on forever

I didn't enter, didn't find the time... but I'll vote for Ryan

Still, imo, I wouldn't like a competition like this that makes some better than others. Even though I know that in my superiority I would win all the cathegories, I still feel for the rest who thought people liked them. Notice the joke in latter.

Frankly, in my opinion this years ESC had more quality songs than usually. I actually enjoyed watching it, and I did find something good in each song. I was really surprised, though I've never followed it so closely as this time, probably because of Lordi entering.

To "finnish" ( ;D) with this. Eurovision sucks. I would never trust in this contest again, since Greek's Sakapó did not win.
I have no idea what that means, but the Greek entry sucked, I ranked it to be second last, ie 23rd, just before Malta ;)

But in all honesty, i wasn't really that impressed with the song itself. It reminded me of late 70's early 80's Dio and Black Sabbath music. With costumes like that i had expected some gruesome death metal band who's music even i couldn't stomach.
Mr. Lordi himself takes influences from bands such as Kiss and Alice Cooper... did I already say this... Well, that's the reason. It's all intentional. And I think the costume thing was a good idea. You know, the band has been up for at least 14 years now, they made their first record in 02.

I think they were booed because of the whole "we are the winners of eurovision" bit :P
Yeah, well the song was funny for like 30 seconds. And they never got as many boos as Silvia Knight from Iceland... I kind of liked this song though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwGkmNWR8-4&search=silvia%20night . She calls to God in that ... I quote the lyrics: (phone - conversation)
Hello is it god?
What’s up dog?
It’s your favourite person in the world Silvia Night
I’m saving the world
See you...bye

They say she said something bad about the Greeks, and that's why got the boos, I think there's some videop of her freaking out there too... What is it with women from iceland? I just love them.

No actually I don't believe there's any redeeming quality in a musical competition of any type.
I agree. And having every band performing heavy Rock, I'd kill myself. I had this gig on saturday, it was an outside consert for local bands... I wasn't local but my brother was. Anyway, it was a several hour's consert with us the only band of the 20 that did not play Heavy Metal, we actually played jazz and a bit swing... I can't even imagine what the heavy-people were thinking at that time ;D Anyway, Heavy... eh... wouldn't make a good entry. I bet from no on, no Heavy song will win, should there ever be one.

I liked Croatia's entry. Only because it showed that a leaked home-made porno can't keep you out of the Eurovision.
Yes, this song, I enjoyed it too, but only once, when I heard the rerun, I hated it, mostly because of the yakatakatakatai yakaktaka. Like a machine gun if you ask me :)

Did I mention I really liked the chorus in the UK song?

Check, got it now

I don't quite get your point Helm. Surely no one ever said there is no music better than Lordi, and the song you posted here is completely different. Btw, it's not better than Lordi imo. And I'd hardly count this as Heavy Metal, rather hard rock of some kind, and face it, the ESC has nothing to do with what's that, Fates Warning, nor does Lordi, this is my opinion.

Reminds me of my first date... j/k of course, I never had one.

Anyway. I've never given Lordi much attention. They had this hit one year, Would you love a monsterman... A Kiss -redo, I'd say. Still, I'm currently watching the rerun of the show, and I can't help feeling proud of being a Finn. I don't think the meaning of the contest has ever been about music, rather than to raise the nationalist feeling, nd right now, I feel really Finnish.

What makes me laugh though, is that I can easily say that at least 75% liked Lordi in Finland, yet all the peoploe that took it to a public level were so angry and embarrassed. I recall this woman saying in a newspaper, that it has always been a shame to lose, but this is much more humiliating. Such a silly act could never even reach the finals. Though she was so wrong. Until now all the contestants have been ones that try to sound good for old ladies, well, we had one, and that was second. He would never have won. Then I think lots of people voted for Lordi because they were fun, they had balls, they were kickin the ESC in the face, and they liked the music.

I'd say the reason we have lost is because the ones who vote are those old ladies that don't know better. This one said even that we should have sent some old singer that had been say 10th or so, which was the best we had, that would be less humiliating. It's not supposed to be a big deal if we lose, it's just a silly contest, but bloody hell it feels good to win.

Yet, even though Lordi have those dresses, I take them as music, not some fools that just play some act, and I believe most of the voters did too. And Frlander, I don't think anyone believed it'd make them cool if they voted. voting in ESC is generally considered lame...

Matt: Yeah, you're right. Oh and the British song, well, how do I put it.... well, the chorus was good imo, but the rest was bs, as with most.

Ok, the reason I voted for Ukraine, the thighs:

the song was good too, did i say this already?
#2134
actually approximately 187 888 lakes that is. Just think of it, you open a roadmap, and almost half of it is blue :D
#2135
Slipknot? Never heard!!! Hmm, I guess your opinion is understandable, we can't all win, and I do feel sympathy on the countries that LOST, while we WON, ie were BETTER, as in, SCORED HIGHER POINTS, or as one might say, were MORE LIKED.
#2136
Yeah, I agree, the intermediates were the best, but the Ukranian girl with the babydoll dress had the awesomest thighs ever!!! And the song was good too, I admit that.
#2137
I heard it was possibe to vote ones own entry by calling through skype, and lots of people did that. That didn't work in the finals though. But as i couldn't vote for us, I voted for Norway and Ukraine, couldn't decide which was better!

Us:

Damn straight!
#2138
Damn straight! And you know what? Not that great superiority isn't enough, WE EVEN BROKE THE ALL TIME RECORD!!!!! So, I guess we just are the best, I'm all emotional here, Finns, continue this, and you jealous people. Feel free to envy us!

Yeah, CRYBABIES! Bohoo, Bloody PWNED! \o/

Indeed, maybe point it towards the door etc. where the receptionist can't see. It's a bit crooked as well, isn't it.

Oh, and what also came to mind is, that what I've seen mental asylums, the receptionists are often behind this if not a glass or a plastic, a counter, which is the case here. Yet the computer for example is ALWAYS so that an outsider can't see it. Maybe you could turn it a bit. Oh, and add an internal asylum phone or something. Where I live, receptionists are always in this box and yuo speak to them through this window... And then, colours like green and white are mostly used in such places due to the calm and clean effect they are considered to have. Just some things that came to my mind, think about them, and hmm, the perspective still bothers me a bit.

Love the blob :D Ehem, I have this icky image in my mind of a spiderlike creature walking by moving one leg to the front at the time. I suppose you could use that in here too, right?
