General Discussion / Re: Weird day

Glad to hear you managed to connect with the girl at last, Ginny. Things tend to work out on themselves, don't they?

About the weirdness I have nothing that I can think of right now. Nothing that I think about ever happens, but i guess that's because I'm a hopeless dreamer :D I'm sure though i can think of something when i get home from here, so untill then... oh, well, I meat a friend today, that's weird, isn't it? Or, I hadn't seen her in months, but was thinking about her lately... and neither of us lives in this town anymore :P anyway...

you dont know how to make left hand look in pocket or look Ã, like right hand?

I doubt he'd like the left hand to look like no hand at all... and wouldn't putting it in a pocket make it look like the right one anyway?

What you should do, is firstly draw the lines of the pocket... then adjust the colour of it so that it'd seem to be less flat as the surface of the jacket. Maybe some darkes shadin on the lines of some lihter on the centre of the sprite... I don't have the means to do a paintover right now, since I'm not on my computer...

And I'd still try shortening the other leg, you'd see it would still look like it was facing the way you want. And more normal...

EDIT; and then, I'd post the new character here, since this thread is still alive. If it had anything to do with the game...

the plan that you have for this is exellent, and this'll work very fine. I'd still suggest, that once you were ready with the walkcycle of a character, you would make it much smoother, give it some motion; like Mr. Peepwood here said, bend the hands, and make the torso move a bit. But before that if you made the frames after this yo'd have a great start for an animation.

The frontal leg is longer than the other. Her ight hand is missing, or it'sin the pocket, which would make the coat go curvy orsuch on the pocket area. She looks a bit like those girls that I used to know, who lived in the countryside, and didn't care what they wore and smelled like horses and cowdroppings...
Now I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but her father would sure fit in a tractor cabin. If you wan't to make her like a common teenage gril, I'dsay, look at the ones aruond you on the streets, they all dress like each other...other than the freaks, and hmmm, balanced people, or those independent... anyway....

haha, I say we have the what ever is next on the list mittens at a South African university campus :D ... you know the body mass index that defines wherther you're overweight or not? I bet Mordalles doesn't :P
Ã,  Ã,  Ã, All you do is divide your weight with the square root of your height. Height in metres and weight in kilos. then if you're grown up, and it's over 25 you're a bit overweight... hmmm, something's wrong, says 49,5 on me...I'm not dying yet. Wait... yeah, ok, it's your weight in kilos divided by your height2... yes, that explains alot... mine is 21

EDIT: Vict0r, it does take into account it all, but this one I typed here is just the short way, you can count it by waistline and thighs and such, I don't know how it works, but I'm sure google knows ;)

Anyway, that girl is not fat, nor in a seductive position. Nor is the foxy lady. You'd better do as is said, google images for "lum" and you'll see what's seductive... or you can join the forums there as other freaks do ::) http://lum-chan.bbox.org/startlum.html

Nice pic indeed. Still, I have a few things to point out. For first, the trashcan is too much the same colour as the grass. It looks as if it were covered init somehow.

Then, at least where I live, the white lines of the parking slot go all the way to the grassline. Not vital, but a suggestion.
Ã,  Then the horizon. I assume there's an ocean of somekind back there? If so, it is way too high. The line that separates the water from the sky is too high, and the water loks as if the shoreline was at the grounds of the building.

oh, and one thing too... is that long grass or what behind the building? it looks rather strange when it's only there and not in the front at all. And I was wondering about the architectural construct. as in, where's the door? Or is the flat just big, with 3 windows... And I'd place a window on the side next to the drain pipe as well.

But a very good start, I wish I was of any help here ;)

General Discussion / Re: Using real names

Well I don't actually have anything to credit on... but once ATOTK is finished my whole name will be init. Why? Because I wouldn't recognise myself from it if I was called something that I use in other forums. Besides it would be stupid to invite a nick when your nick is your name, right? Yes, I shall open a blog soon and will most certainly use my own name...

General Discussion / Finnish reality show!
Fri 20/01/2006 13:13:00
Lurking in the internet I came upon this spectacular idea. One of the local tv-channels is actually letting us watch grass grow.
http://www.nelonen.fi/ruohokasvaa/live/
Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  The general idea is, that they are put in rather bad and unfamiliar conditions and they're supposed to survive, to be the last one to fall. There are two cameras that update every now and then so you can easily follow which grass looks like it's about to fall. it's been on for 8 days now and all the contestants are still in the game. You can also make a vote of which you think that is going to win. It's in Finnish though, so it might not open to everyone.

Hope you have as much fun as I do in the late hours staring at the screen. IT's better than Big brother. the spirit of Reality-tv in a nutshell.

the last time I'll do anything with MSPaint, I swear!

Shoes 130e >:(
pants 200e
bloody ugly shirt or wahtever 100e >:(
This idiot thinks he's cool. well he aint. So I started doing it, and it looked ok, so I decided to finish it... yet I didn't. but he's dressed well and he's bad to the bone. Yes, all the money for the clothes are drugmoney.

Heh, but that's how it goes :D Though being the oen that's supposed to know computers would probably not be the ideal way to climb up the social board.
#2431
Yeah, I like the second pic. Nice sky you got there. Very nice, I can see the style you're after immediately.

About the first picture: The tree trunks are way too wide/big, and the thops are to small. What you need is more leaves, more datails in them, and more shadows. there's some basic advice for you.

Damien, I think it's the white background... But very good job Krysis. The guy seems to be the exact size to fit in the room. Though I wonder how he changes the lightbulb... but that doesn't matter, maybe he'll drag the sofa under, nevermind about that ;D

A bit off topic, apologise for that, but this brought to my mind a thing that happend a while ago at school. As in, there were a few girls who couldn't print some text and thought I was good with computers. So they asked me to help. After a while of examining it I plugged on the power cord, and the machine started printing.  :D Ha, they were so impressed. Now they asked my help again a while ago, I am now the computer guru in our school... the other time they were trying to copy some text from the internet into Word... :P

Anyway. My sister's a DI, and she had this problem with her loudspeakers. So after an hour of fixing it she finally lowered herself to the level of a normal human being and took the manual from the packega. And the power chord was under it... So no, they don't take us for idiots. They take us for normal people who have no idea of what they are doing.

Males need some time of probable sour and painful sucking exercises to get their nipplejuices flowing.

Bloody hell I had to live to see this statement :o.. so... if I was to suck my tits with a pipe or a hose, then I'd be original amongst other boys because I could produce milk... cool, I'd had my own milk on lunchbreaks!!! whoopee

Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Braggart
You are 71% Rational, 85% Extroverted, 14% Brutal, and 85% Arrogant.

What? Braggart? Me? Arrogant, well I never...

You are the Braggart! Like Muhammad Ali, you would surely tell everyone that you are "The Greatest" whilst bragging incessantly about your intelligence, your skills, and your abilities. You tend to be a thinker rather than a feeler, and combined with your extroversion and arrogance, this makes you someone who probably just LOVES to brag about his accomplishments. Despite this, however, you are a very gentle, tender person and truly care about others' feelings. You just happen to care more about yourself. Unlike Ali, of course, you are rather rational as opposed to emotional, and you are also much more gentle. But his arrogance and extroversion best reflect the most visible aspects of your personality. Your personality defect is the fact that you are extremely overconfident, extroverted, and perhaps rather lacking in emotions. YOU ARE THE GREATEST! Or so you keep telling yourself every night, in hopes that eventually everyone else on the planet will agree. Well, sorry, we probably won't.

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.

2. You are more EXTROVERTED than introverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.

I might disagree on that :P

You know what I'd do? I'd turn the fridge and the oven -90 degrees and palce them backs against the right wall, the fridge still in the corner.
That way you could place a table or a window or something next to the sofa and most of the empty room issues on the right would be solved.
But the tiles on the "kitchen area" make it look like a shower to me.

1. Why are you here?
2. How does your mother look naked?
3. Do you have a drawing tablet?

1. To seek redemption.
2. Pretty much like herself with no cholthes on.
3. No but I'm about to get one ;D

1. Three prisoners are put in a line. they all can only see the one(s) in front of them. There are 5 hats, 2 white, 3 black and each prisoner is given one. They must guess the colour to get free. Suppose that the first one who sees the two in front of him guesses wrong, and then the second that only sees the first one in line guesses wrong too. So how does the first one in line always guess right and what is the colour of his hat?
2. What does NTP mean officially? As in commonly used within chemics?
3. How many feet does a butterfly have?

Vey nice, very nice. But it might be just me, but to me it doesn't look like the guy facing up. I get a very different feeling when looking at them, as if, the up facing one was flatter. And the side wiev surely isn't flat. Such figures would surely require depth in the front wiev. And now that I'm on it, I was wondering what that lumb on his forehead that everyone here seems to be drawing is? I'd remove it and flatten the forehead.

Yeah, I know what I think of Behringers... ;) but we might go for those, I've heard of a lot that are cheap, as in 500e. I once tried the Behringer microphones in that very set, and they were kind of luosy so I bought a Philips mike for 35 e. Just to make something enough expensive. Though my friends were thinking of this: http://www.thomann.de/thoiw3_artikel-169587.html?sn=89fbaa0d1aa149c9bb9aee4227f7d104

As for the PA, we found this at Thomann's. Seems rather fine to me: http://www.thomann.de/thoiw3_artikel-184965.html?sn=696a74f29e8f8382da71951a11a45f46
not too expensive, but we have to look a bit more.

You said you did the cables yourself, is that cheaper? knowing my handicraft skills we would probably burn the building down, but I guess the guys could do it. Thanks for the advice.
