-then this dutch band Lemur voice
-more? Arena? Great band too...
I don't much fancy the style you do, but try these out... actually if you don't want to make it hard, there's a page for samples of all of these... www.progarchives.com I know I know, it's weird stuff, but search these bands :D

hmmh, I should probably add Porcupine Tree here... Lightbulb Sun is the most listened album of theirs in my stereo thing

Think of it through your mothers eyes: A bunch of geeks and freaks come to your house led there by signs that say Lapaset. Then all there freaks will stay for a week, using your utensils and utilities leaving odd looking piles of dirt in the corners. After a painful week she finds herself sweating and tired feeling as if she'd been exploited by aliens, and your dog cries in the yard with all it's hair shaved off and glued to the the door... Then she stumbles on empty bottles, loafs of bread and lumbs of meat and some odd metallic objects that some foreigner brought. Then her son comes and says, Yuo could have been a bit more kind to my guests...

And this is not all...

true... that can't be allowed to happen... bad idea, let's kill it and bury it deep. What we really need is a kettle! If we had a kettle we would have no problems.

Without Ishmaels help I would still be stuck with 5. I guess after he helped me to think I guessed it by myself, but he might think something else :)... but the reason... the answer was too bloody obvious! more than in the first four... just... freaking try everything. well, it's 6 for me now

Perhaps we could rent bicycles and have a nice arranged tour de countryside while we're at it

I have a drivers licence an most likely a car too. And I can bring a wheelbarrow, sorry, kottikärryt for Ishmael, so this means transprotation for at least 10 persons, 4 +me in my car and 4 to the kärryt...

Not a bad animation at all, but his body may be swaying a bit too much.Ã,  Other than that, you got yourself a workable animation.

It might look as if it swings, but as you place it in a game and move it about the swinging effect disappears.. Ever tried walking without moving? it looks always odd

Luckily those songs at the site linked above are two of the best they've got... to find them use the Renaissance link on the top... :D

It's not you tweaking them, it's the thought that someone else does it that turns people on...

I would suggest that you hire a decorator to help give you some color matching, for not only the furniture, but everything else in the room. (To some extent, at least)

I agree... At least, she is a 15-year-old girl. Don't they all have a personal decorator? I guess what he really is after that the curtains, the blanket? (on bed) oh, sheets  ;D tha carpet.... they are as different as those in my room... She must have some taste for colours, some that she prefers...

Also, the teddy and the flag should be pink, expecially the flag! [this is where you realize it's a joke]... Get the point huh? cool

Hey, that actually is pathetic!!! and bad if it comes to that... You reckon that the left (ours) foot doesn't go up like the right one does... But not to that :P

soooo, I made this once.... for a game, a bigger one that we are on at the moment, I belong to an indie group. So you get a prewiew, I don't think it's forbidden. Although this is not the final version, it's still a front cycle... PAy attention to the shadin of his feet exspecially... and note that the whole char. does some movement.

Note that when you use him with the AGS he well became alive... I don't know a site where I could upload the char.file but either import the sprites os so... Best would be to open this picture with some MSpaint or so in order to see the pixels without the fuzz

Noticed that in the front walkcycle the hair-do bounce vertically, while in the side one it's doing it horizontally. Minor detail yes... And... perhaps add a few frames, otherwise I see nothing utterly horrifying

I guess it does look a bit uphill... you know what I mean. Either that or the frontal tree is a short one... Andail did a great job but it still looks like the terrain is going up... I don't know if it's only me, and can't do an example right now, but think of it, and if it comes to it, find out what you can do... Otherwise a great piece!
#2558
See I told you!!! Then perhaps you Andail would share with us the secret of making the loops... I know you need some program, but is there any that would be free to use? I mean if I was willing to send an animating loop here instead of the whole pic that is...
#2559
Neither do I.... hmmm, let's see... Well you could possibly get one, or just send the frames in the same pic, so that we could see how it looks, and there's always a fair soul who will make them animate ;)

General Discussion / Re: Picking a Career
Tue 27/09/2005 16:03:25
I'm struggling with the same problem between being an architect or a doctor. Well not nearly the same, but I in some odd way find them both interesting.

I figured that by the time you have to make choises you have been processing yourself to become ready to make those choises. Thus if you need to choose between one you like or the one your father and his father did before or the one you like, the answer is simply the one you like. I've been grown with the idea that one should make a lot money, and i find myself in the situation where none of those low paid jobs seem interesting or pleasant. That's just the way it is. And when I think of gaining more money, I don' feel like those jobs either.

Let me get this straight: You want to be a film director. Imagine yourself as a film director, are you the Lucas type wealthy guy who spends his leisure time at playboy parties, or do you see yourself as a passionate artist who does either mainstream movies trying to get to the top or the one that maes what he likes? (wow, what a horrible sentence :D)
Ã,  Ã,  There are but a few who are blessed with such popularity, but sure it is as realistic as me becoming an architect. (they take in 90 a year in the whole land). The odds are small, but they do exist, so I think you have to get deep into it, which you have already done I believe. But if you see yourself swimming in a moneypool, I bet your chances are more scarce.

And about photography... I think you really have potential! Anyhow, isn't the photographers professiondying a bit due to digi-cameras? Still if not in your own get-your-pics-here -shop, you could start a career in a magazine, or as a free-lance photoer. All this you knew of course, but there is no way that I could decide for you. I'd rather see you weighing the possibilties that both professions provide. Yet I don't see why you couldn't do both in a way, the one being a hobby for example...

I myself will have a serious problem if I get in the med-school and the tech. university. Wouldn't know which one to start... But IÃ,  think by the tie it will surely get clear.
