Obviously I don't know all the details here, but you can't just publish a book about somebody else's characters and expect to get away with it. He could get rich publishing that book for all you know.

Assuming 'Commotion' is by Babar and 'Celebration' is by Stupot, it diverges from branch A-2 after that, which doesn't seem to be right since the split was after Auriond, according to the map.

The problem is that the game can't find the function room_AfterFadeIn in the script.

Go to the room properties and click on events. Remove the text after Enters room after fade-in.

I think you removed these lines from your room script:

function room_AfterFadeIn()
{
}

The game tries to execute it but can't, hence the error.

What I want is a button on a gui which can be clicked even when a dialog is being run.
Anybody know if this is possible while still using the dialog system?

Since you finished the game already you probably don't need this Twirlly, but for the sake of completeness:

Make a new text document in the same folder as the game's .exe (right click in explorer, select new) and put this line in it: 'sag_mag_04_08 --setup' (without the ')
Then make sure exporer is not hiding the file extensions (tools | folder options | view | Hide extensions) and rename the file to start.bat.
Then if you click on start.bat the setup will open. Presto!

You can copy the file acsetup.cfg from any other AGS game.
And a batch file containing the line ' sag_mag_04_08 --setup ' can be a substitute for the setup file

Nice game! And so soon before the deadline; that must be a record...

IMHO you only need 1-2 persons to secure the ending, if someone is skipped the next person in line can just continue the story.
