Well, at least it doesn't go with the lighting in the room... And maybe you could add a little bit of some border on either side...

Finally! Excellent! Can't wait...
#103
Ah, well much better...

By the way, I thought the house was round  ;D

Well, lets just say these make me want to hear music in the games...

Well, the lighting is a bit weird, since first of all, in one spot, you can't see anything of the wall (even though the whole wall should be at least almost equally shadowed), and on the left side there's most light (and way too much in my opinion), but still the main shadow of the house and the source of light (the moon) isn't anywhere like that...

One or two things bother me. Mainly, in the front view, she looks like she's slapping herself... Then that little strand on her neck should move just a bit...

Fine in every other way In my opinion, except her walk is a little bit too stiff... She should ease up a little bit :P The hands aren't loose enough... Her elbows shouldn't get that high and that's quite fast swinging anyways (in both feet and hands), so unless she's pissed off, make her loosen up a bit.

Now that I saw it without the door, the frames are kinda askew... Is that word eve used?

I still don't get the "forest creepers"... Are they coming through the wall? What are they? Now in my opinion they just look like, well... uhm... something absurd. :D Anyways, could you describe them a little better?

Yeah, well I didn't edit the door at all. I concentrated in the frames, as I mentioned. Actually I haven't payed attention to the door at all, just the frames of it...

Critics' Lounge / Re: How's the perspective?

OK, thanks...

I'll see about editing it...

OK, now I've got this edit of the pic, with a few problems fixed (though not all)... I lowered the ceiling a bit and did something to the carpet... Also added a window to the ceiling (if you ask about the color, lets just say it's darkened a bit)... http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Main_hllwayedit.bmp

I didn't notice that the pic is so much to the left when I made it, and my attempts to fix it have failed, mostly because of my hurry, so could someone fix it somehow? I can try later too, but... By the way, what else should I add to the room 'cept the ceiling window?

Wich post you don't understand?

Anyways, the window would look better if it was more "deeper" in the wall...

And BTW, here's a bit edited pic, but it's done with paint, so it's not very well done, but will give you some idea (sorry, but the image is a bmp file...): http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/pnteditviktorroom.bmp

Critics' Lounge / How's the perspective?
Thu 29/07/2004 13:31:12
I have this unfinished pic of a hallway, but I need the opinions of the perspective on this. So don't start saying anything about details, or how empty the room is, it's not yet finished. I just want to know about the perspective.

As I guess I've made my point clear, the pic is here: http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Main_hllway.bmp

The door doesn't work... The upper-left corner should be a bit higher than the upper-right corner... At least it's not working like this...

Well, just check the pic that Darth Mandarb made... That should clear it outÃ,  ::)

And BTW, I'm talking about the door frames...

It's attached to the computer. You might have to use it for the computer to become bigger, then you can see the black slot under the screen.

Critics' Lounge / A Character
Mon 26/07/2004 17:50:36
Here's a character I made with the regular Paint. I haven't yet edited it in any ways (like resized it or something).

So what do you think?: http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Char..bmp

OK, here's a bit bigger pic (though not as sharp): http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Char._Larger_ed..bmp

Can it be too detailed?

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong category...

I've downloaded several of the games created with ags, but I can't hear any music in it. At first I couldn't even get sounds, but then I canged the "MIDI Music" in the settings into Win32 MIDI Mapper, so now I get all the other sounds, but still I don't get music. Whenever I open a game, it brings this error message: "Unable to initialize your audio hardware. [Problem: Failed to init digital sound driver]"... I've tried to change the "Digital Sound" into "Default WaveOut Device", but that just made the effects worse...

I can't find this in any faqs, so could anybody help?

(Edit): Hmm... Now I tried Ben Jordan 1 again, this time with the "MIDI Music" as "Default MCI Music Device", and  "Digital Sound" as "Default Waveout Service", and well, at least I got some music, but it (as all other sounds) were very poor quality... Then I tried with the "Digit. Sound" still the same and "MIDI Music" again as "Win32 MIDI Mapper", but now I didn't get any sounds...  :P :-\
