Thanks for posting, cat. Good luck finishing in time.

I have now technically started mine, but I won't have time to work on it today since I need to finish my MAGS entry...

I failed to finish my game yesterday. The whole heist thing didn't work out for me. So I'm making a completely different game today. Luckily I can use 2 of the backgrounds I have in place and only need to make 1 more. I will still use the same setting and 2 characters, including the main character. And I will be keeping it simple, so I should be able to finish no problem.

Reiter - Screenshot, name, link, and description pretty much cover it. Anything else would be optional.

Did make the deadline? Oh no. I'm still scrambling to get my game done.

I've never included a read me, but such a thing wouldn't hurt. It depends on if your controls are different than the normal, etc. I suppose...

I personally use Itch.io for my games.

And since the deadline for the jam on there is in a little under 8 hours, I will for once have my game finished early.

Good luck to those who are working on a game.

Ah yes. Hopefully someone will post in this thread tomorrow so I won't forget to start working on a background...

Oops. I should have guessed Seed of Chucky, not Bride. Except the last image doesn't look familiar...
Bad Santa? Santa Slays?

Bride of Chucky?

Good luck. Hopefully you can finish something in time.
My game is going a bit better since I switched from "normal" view to top down.

Mystery Meat Mayhem

The main thing that was annoying was the characters kept turning when speaking.

We may meet for next month's MAG so get yer guns out  (laugh)
Yeah, I can't remember why it did that. I would have fixed it if I had had the time.

Not likely unless next month's theme is really interesting and/or is one that I can re-uses graphics from other months.

So... Is anyone else working on a game for this month?
I'm still working on mine. But unfortunately it's not going as well as hoped. I'm pretty much redoing all of the graphics...

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I needed. I have no idea how I missed it...

Thanks, but I don't want anything to do with a hotspot. I want something to happen when the cursor is over the character.  I thought maybe this code would work, but it's too precise to be useful.

Code: ags
function room_RepExec()
{
if (mouse.x==cMM.x && mouse.y==cMM.y)
{
Display("Test.");
}
}

Is there a simple way to do something similar to mouse moves over hotspot, but with a character? It looks like it's possible since Unavowed does it. But I can't find any information in the manual or the forums. Unless somehow I missed it or looked for the wrong thing.
Any information would be great. Thanks in advance.

My guess is... Camp Nowhere?

edit: wait... the hair... the overalls. Could it be The Lawnmower Man?

Welp, 15 minutes of this video have been enough to remind me of why I don't watch Nostalgia Critic.
If you made it that far, I guess it's not the sketches...

Congratulations. And thanks. I'm sure I'll make posts on the forums if/when it's time.

All I'll say is to me that's the best movie in the series.

:~(
Several things the last few weeks have made realize it's time for me to move on to larger projects. And I honestly need a break after working on so many MAGS games. I'm sure I'll still participate at times, I just can't promise how often.

Alright, thanks guys.

Then it looks like an Urban Fantasy magical item heist game is a go. Now to figure out the item and where it's being stolen from...

So, I talked to the guy running the $103 Adventure Game Challenge on Itch.io for the next 2 weeks. He said that it was fine for me to use what I started for this month's MAGS as long as it fits the theme for his jam, etc. He also said it was fine to enter the game into other jams/contests. So, I was wondering if it would be okay to submit the game I make for his jam to this month's MAGS. Especially since the characters and setting were developed specifically for this month's MAGS.
