Pan's Labyrinth is definitely in Spanish. As far as I know, Guillermo del Toro only has directed movies in Spanish and English. And there's the fact that Pan's Labyrinth is set in Spain.
I've never had issue with the subtitles on it. It's not like there's a lot of fast paced action. And most of the scenes where there's sets and make up to enjoy, there's enough quiet to enjoy them.
And as for whether the events are real or not, the movie leaves it open ended for the viewer to decide. But I think that Guillermo del Toro himself is of the opinion that everything happened.

I usually have a podcast or lengthy YouTube video on when I'm drawing, because I feel it helps me keep my brain occupied enough to work properly, but I've noticed that it only works when I'm either drawing or doing tasks that don't require language, because I cant get any writing or coding done right whilst also listening to someone else's words.
Interesting. When doing any kind of drawing for more than a couple of minutes I tend to get lost in it, so neither of those would work for me. So I almost always have music playing.
Coding is still foreign enough for me that I never get lost in it. And normally I do dialog one piece at a time. Of course when I've tried writing anything longer I've gone with music.

Only sitcoms or something else with a simple and/or stupid plot works. Sitcoms tend to have a plot minimal enough that you can miss several minutes at a time and still be able to pick back up on what's going on. I'd find a coffee shop or food court much harder to concentrate in due to the numerous conversations and different machinery.

For programming, the thing that works best for me is to use my laptop with wifi off and my tv on with a sitcom or something else that I don't care if I actually watch or not.

For anything else, it always seems to be trial and error...

Okay, if this gets no guesses then tomorrow I'll just post something that will outright spoil it.

I was hoping the last image would help. But okay. Have another typewriter. If no one makes a guess, I'll post something more helpful tomorrow.

What can I say? I was too young to have been interested in it when it came out and never heard anyone speak about it since.

I'm guessing Kafka, which I've never seen and didn't know existed until seeing it listed on imdb a moment ago.

The problem with "human or robot" is that it doesn't allow for cyborgs, aliens, AIs, or anything else with apparent sapience. Sure, some people may consider an AI to be a robot to some degree, but that's no more accurate than to call Blu Ray Disc a DVD.

But welcome, sofiaaq.

The Rumpus Room / Re: Most messed up cartoons?

But of course anime can be cartoons. There's really a fine line between "cartoons" and some anime anyway. Many cartoons from the 80s and 90s had animation outsourced to some of the same studios that have made anime.
And the line between Generation 1 Transformers and stuff like Voltron is very thin, especially due to the circle of Transformers being repurposed Japanese toys...
It's just that anime has some much stuff that can be considered "messed up" to western audiences that the entire thread could be filled with it.
And looking up Boku no Pico says that it's a hentai. So if that counts, then the only hentai I rented should count. It was purely by accident. I was like 19 or 20 when I rented it. It was placed in the kids section along with Pokemon and other kid friendly anime. But within 10 minutes I realized it was hentai because of the androgynous space vampire engaging in homosexual sexual activity. When I returned it, I complained about where it was placed. Mostly because I could imagine some kid picking it up and a parent not even looking at the rating like I did...

Just to let people know, someone did contact me to help with a game. Not saying the name since that person hasn't posted in this thread. But it should be an interesting take on the theme.

And if someone is wanting to make a game, but can't do graphics, I can make some Maniac Mansion/TumbleWeed or DoTT/Sam And Max type graphics for you.

Hmm. I guess a mixture in space could be interesting. Or in some remote location. Maybe something along the lines of the 1982 version of The Thing. Or in space it could be kind of a mix of Alien, The Thing, and Species.

I'd say most cases of clowns being beat up wouldn't be random. And most likely the highest number of those beat up would be Juggalos. Or clowns that resemble John Wayne Gacy or Pennywise.
