Hmm, showing Rutger Hauer may or may not have made it easier for other people.
This image is from the first series I saw when I looked around a few minutes ago. The show aired on a channel that also aired a show that had Rutger Hauer in an episode.

Well, I guess there's been enough time for other people to answer.
I have no doubt it's The Tenth Kingdom. Just look at the glare of John Larroquette's head as Tony and Wolf go to talk to the blind woodsman.

Well, I'm planning to do a crossover of Thomas Carnacki, ghost finder and Armand Broussard, werewolf hunter. I haven't figured out the story yet, but I do have some game play ideas and made the base sprites for the two characters this weekend.

If anyone needs some characters or backgrounds this week, let me know. I could use the practice while trying to figure out details of my game. If no on needs the help, I might just make some generic stuff that anyone can use for this and any future MAGs.

If I weren't so busy with other things... *sigh*

Though I admit, it would be kind of fun to see our beloved cat-burglar-turned-paranormal-investigator, Trilby, team up with another AGS hero.
Maybe you could team up with someone else to make it an RoN game?
If you and/or someone else could come up with all the ideas I'd even be willing to do graphics and the programming if no one better could be found.

Alas, I must drop out.

Good luck to everyone who finished their games.

There are some issues with the latest version of Ubuntu. I've tried several times over the last month to install Wine without any luck. It's possible that it could be an issue between your sound card and Ubuntu. You could test to make sure that sound from other things works. Or you could have someone else using Ubuntu try the game. Or you could try a slightly older version of Ubuntu. Or Linux Mint instead.

Sadly, I've realized there's simply not enough time to make my game as wanted. So I'm having to cut out several things. I should be able to finish any remaining backgrounds and sprites tomorrow. Most likely the only animation will be walkcycles for Twitch and Massimo. I also won't be able to take full advantage of the context sensitive interface, but I will still be leaving it in.

How's everyone else's games going?

Italian American anyway.

I may make some refinements if I have the time, but here's a preview of Massimo outside of his office.

Nice. Congratulations on finishing.

I was hoping to have a version complete before Christmas, but doesn't look like that's happening. But I might be able to share some images later today or sometime tomorrow.

I vote for Tycho Magnetic Anomaly's Star Trek anachronism stew.

I know I'm not the one you asked, but I am a Gimp user. In Gimp you can use the Gradient tool in a new layer and change the Gradient to FG to Transparent with black as your selected color. Then drag from right to left trying different angles until you find one you like. Stop a little short of the left side to maintain full transparency on the left most area. You'll probably want to adjust the layer Opacity too.

I imagine the rest is covered in the linked Deviantart Tutorials.

I've resisted the urge to drop out by changing to something hopefully more fun. I have most of the story planned out and most of the base code for the verb coin figured out.
I will be attempting a Massimo and Twitch game again. I'm going with a DoTT/Sam and Max style and using a context sensitive verb coin built upon the BASS template.
Santa is missing and elves hire Massimo to find him. Twitch joins along because he has nothing better to do. I'll try to have more to share in the next couple of days.

Actually, I was wrong in what I said. Only the "show" check box needs to not be checked. The Say checkbox needs to be left checked. Sorry about that.
Having the show checkbox unchecked means it won't show the option by default. Hopefully I worded that where it makes sense.

Here's an example screenshot to make sure.

The Rumpus Room / Re: *Guess the Movie Title*

Indeed so.

Okay, the easiest way to do it is to have the dialog for the 2nd person without any checks on it show it doesn't show the dialog by default.
And in the dialog for Dave, have code similar to this:

Code: ags

Dave: Sweden
  dialog[2].SetOptionState(3, eOptionOn);

That specific code sets the 3rd option of Dialog2 (doesn't matter the name, just is the number) to on. Hopefully this makes sense.

This movie has been guessed in the past, but apparently not actually been used.

But wouldn't the first movie be more appropriate with Christmas coming up? I somehow instantly knew this was Gremlins 2, but checked to confirm that John Astin did play the Janitor.
