Im thinking of making a database in ags. I have a clear vision of how it will be done except for two one thing: the search engine. How can I enter text in AGS if it is not speech or message (like in revenants notebook)? And how do I script the search engine itself? Any scripting gods' help would be welcome.

Im almost done with this background, but Ive got several problems:
1) I cant make the temple wall.
2) I cant make the flower less-realistic

If someone can help me, he's welcome.
EDIT: Since my backgrounds look more like indy 3, Ill use this style

I suggest someone makde Kyrandia 1/2/3 templates, since their interface is quite unique and the only one of its kind.

I'm running on P4 1,6Ghz winXP with Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400
After I load an application, it runs fine for a few minutes and then either windows closes the application saying that there is an error, or the computer restarts. I really need help. I've downloaded the newest drivers from nvidia website, tried all the settings, reinstalled windows, and still, no effect. I really really REALLY need help.

OK, I want there to be a shadow when a character stands on the castle wall. I make a new character(upside down), use the SetCharacterTransparecy command...and it doesn't work. Here's the script:
Repeatedly execute:

while(character[ABBAT].walking!=0){
 MoveCharacter(SHADOW, character[ABBAT].x, 221);
 }


Interaction:

character[SHADOW].room=character[GHERKIN].room;
SetCharacterTransparency(SHADOW, 50);
SetGlobalInt(43, 1);
character[SHADOW].x=character[ABBAT].x;
character[SHADOW].y=221;
SetCharacterView(SHADOW, 35);
MoveCharacter(ABBAT, 11, 42);
Wait(300);

The shadow shows up, but doesn't move. Any suggestions?

Ok, I know that many of you do not care, but I do. This season CSKA has performed very, very well. They had 13 consecutive wins, didn't lose against Blackburn Rovers(1-1 at ewood park, 3-3 in sofia), and now, 2 matches to go - 9 pts in front of the other team willing to win the title - Levski Sofia. We beat them 3-0 at The Bulgarian Army stadium. What I am trying to say is: EXPECT CSKA IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEXT SEASON!!!

I've known this bug for quite a while, and it isn't fixed in v2.55 RC1 either.
When you click on the test game button, the editor saves your game and then starts your game. But the first time the game is not responding, so that you have to close it and click the "test game" button again.

Why don't you add parralex scrolling, Chris? It'll help us to make "cooler" rooms with scrolling object at different pace. I know that there's a plugin, but that doesn't make objects scroll at different speed. That just makes the object not to scroll.

Here's my suggestion: If there is a speech pack available, before every line AGS calculates the following thing:
The frames to be played(syncronized) / The length of the sound file = How fast should the frames go

This would open up new possibilities - real-time sync speech like in KQ6, for example.

The topic says it all. I've just finished the game, and now I want to download several tunes. I have already checked at queststudios, but there is only one track :'(.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was an option to anti-alias non-scaled characters? This may improve the style of many games and blur the horrible outlines.

Based on the book by Colin Wallemberry comes an adventure noone will (hopefully) ever forget featuring:
- More than 30 beautifully hand-drawn locations
- A stunning 640*400 resolution
- 16 bit color
- More than 15 characters
- Idiotic non-linear plot, which will (again hopefully)make the game the most
replayable amateur adventure ever!

If I do all things alone, the game will be released in late 2003. I need some character artists and animators. There is a demo available at my website.
