First, as the forum rules say n0 l33t sp34k0rz.
Second, I already told you that there is a thread in the Games in production forum (though I dont know where)
#1505
And about the score of buccaneer: 92 % MAGS score is different that the overall score.
EDIT: and, as for the music, I didnt say it was bad, I just said it is not memorable. And by memorable I mean me humming the tune after I stop playing the game. For example, memorable are the tunes of KQ2VGA, star wars, indys...

...And the second one is Here...

To foz: The main puzzle problems were the one with the hand and the other with the old man. Suggested solutions:
1. He should stick the nude pics on the red button and tell the oldman to get downstaris. The cutscene should be he touching the pic, and thus the button.
2. Put the sleeping guy on a rolling chair. And i dont think that the plot is quite at the level of P:DA, KQ2VGA or even Apprentice. It just didnt make me actually care for the character.

I would be more than happy to act in your games.

I meant that the hand part may be as well a "puzzle" in an action game, and the masturbation suits duke nukem better than flashbax.
#1510
But in neither of those games, the plot isnt orientated around gore&sex, the felling I had while playing the second part of Flashbax. Really, guys, is this the way to solve a puzzle in an adventure game? To sever one's hand to get past the hand scanner?

AGA and Pestilence: During the second part of the game I had the feeling I was playing an action game - severig hands, watching men puke and masturbate... There was also much gore in P:DA. Spot the differences.

Evil: Maybe sometime in the future
Minimi: thanks
GG: Okay, sorry for the mistake. Its just the spelling and grammar check that made me write it into two words.
AJA: hope you like it.

Nihilist: Just one question: have you played any of the space quest games? I think that these are the only games that combine humour/space theme well. Anyway, except for the rating, there is a very detailed review of the game.
#1514
jason: I also thought that before I came across the second part of the game (torture room onwards)
Anyway, I wish you luck for the prequel.
#1515
Maybe because you do not dare search hard enough?
#1516
Heh, if you are so curious to find, browse the games in production forum, search for "Curse of the Mushmuroc castle"
I have released one MAGS game called recess. And, I mostly agree with wanderlady, during the second part of the game I had the feeling that it is all about violence and old men masturbating.

Nihilist, I do not recall seeing you here, maybe because you are part of the carmageddon community? Nevermind that. I stand behind my comment on the music, and I do not see what is wrong with it. There are many, some of which freeware MIDI composing programs, with which you can create quite professionally sounding tunes. Looks like you've learned a lot from this game, especially from the old man scene. I doubt that you have played many adventure games, but play Runaway to see what good puzzles are. And before saying "hahahaha" again, try and make something yourself. About the rating, I think it is fair, because the 100% rating consists of five elements: plot, puzzles, sound, graphics and other misc stuff like GUI, scripting etc. Even if I give the max 20% of the graphics, which I do, there are still 80% left for the other components. And I am not saying that this game isnt worth playing. It is, as long as you are not offended.

EDIT: foz, if you'd like to know whether people would like to see a prequel, make a poll, do not ask certain people.
#1518
First, foz, stop using these"......"s.
Second, I think making a prequel will be a good idea, as long as there aren't scenes like the old man one and puzzles like severing one's hand just to get pass the hand scanner. The typos aren't fixed even in the new version. And, as I said, the art is nice, but the second part of the plot/puzzles was quite bad IMO. I think that the only ones who would like them are quake/doom fans. And, as I wrote in my article, the sad ending is ok, but the game didnt make me actually care about the main character, so it didn't quite work out. I think that an open ending would be better.
Sorry to say that, but games like the uncertainty machine, apprentice and buccaneer are better than yours. the thing I am trying to say is that you have potential - a thing many others do not have. But this game seemed like "rushed out", especially in the second part  - try to avoid that in your future releases. Your game does not lack art or animation, it lacks mostly strong dialogues.

AJA: here's the pdf.

Hobbes: it got 94%  MAGS score, which isnt quite like the normal rating system.
