Well, we started it, but due to many ping timeouts, we decided to continue it today.

Great! Maybe when you make all chapters of apprentice, you can add voice acting?

Great! The style reminds me of Runaway. The only bad thing I can point out is that the hair seems a bit too blocky.

Really, Farlander, due to many ping timeouts the debate competition could not be finished. Thats why it will continue today at the same time.

INterview with roberta williams to ask has what does she think of KQ1VGA and KQ2VGA.

I wouldnt say that EMI would be a classic. I even enjoyed Gilbert Goodmate more than it. As for Syberia and TLJ, I guess you're right.
#1547
Which are the most recent adventure classics in your opinion? IMO, they are
Runaway(2001/2003)
Gabriel Knight 3(1999)
Discworld Noir(1998)
Sadly, only three games.

Just to remind you that the debate is this evening @ 19:00 CET(18:00 GMT)

AGA, are you sure it is an Adventure games engine?

I think that it is overall very good.

Hey all.
I am thinking of making a new rubric in the AGS ezine, called Controversy(or something), where 2vs2 will debate on one adventure-related topic. This time it is for and against 3d art in adventure games. All willing to participate, please be #ags on the 29th of august, 19:00 CET. Those who will not participate as contestants, will be the jury.

Sorry for the question but WHAT does look good? Sierra gfx from 1986? They sure do!

I am one of the biggest sierra fnas here, so here goes:
King's quests: They have always been revolutionary to the gaming world. My favourites are 3-7, and tierra's remakes. KQ8 sucked.
Quests for glory: Great replayability, my favourite one is "Shadows of darkness", though I ever finished it because of my buggy version.
Gabriel Knights: Awesome story-telling, which causes me not to see the border between reality and fiction. Also, the best music in an adventure game, by Robert Holmes.
Leisure Suit Larrys: Great humour, nice puzzles. My fave were 2,3 and 7
Conquests: Maybe the best historically based games ever. I like the non-linearity in conquests of the longbow.
Space quests: Without a doubt, sq3 is the best. Wonderful humour, original puzzles. Also, the plot of sq3 is hillarious.
Gold Rush: This is one of the first non-linear games. I love it - it has strong plot, nice puzzles and the atmosphere is just great. Sad there isnt a sequel.
Laura bows: I liked the first more, because it is more innovative. The second one is also good, but it is too much of a regular adventure.
eco quests: Wonderful games, though less-know. I plyed them when I was about 11. These are THE educational games I like.
Police quests: Good games, very realistic in my opinion.
Manhunters: Great games, though they may seem weird to some of you.
I also like Freddy pharkas a lot, because of the outstandingly funny atmosphere.

CJ, it is still above his head, though a bit higher than before.
It doesnt matter whether the character is close to a screen endge.
and, FINALLY, I think I know what causes this problem: The speech appears where character's TRANSPARECY ends, and sometimes this is higher than needed.
