That looks and sounds great, Dave!
Hopefully this time you'll list Bulgaria after Burundi. ¬_¬

QuoteThen how would you define games that features special graphical effects, intuitive, uninterupted soundtrack that change as the events change (like the LEC's iMuse), arcade sequence, combat sequence, RPG elements, non-linearity, open ended gameplay and other similar features that aren't in most adventure games?

Depends on how well these elements are implemented in the game, really. Either way there are at least a dozen of superb games on the database that feature none of those and yet are splendid titles. Come on, who cares how it is scripted as long as it works?
#83
To me, any game that runs smoothly and without any bugs features advanced scripting.

So there won't be further theme classification? Like, cartoon, surreal, historical...? I'm sure many people would find it immensely useful while looking for games to play.
#85
It's good to know that the games database will be upgraded, I always thought further genre and/or theme classification was necessary in order to find games you'd be interested in. I'd apply for that position, but I don't really have as much time as is needed, and long ago, I was known to misbehave. Anyway, good luck to those who will fill these positions!

Ah, okay.
Anyway, while I think that such an activity would be interesting and certainly refreshing, I'd rather make an album myself with a single collaborator.

Is that razor-sharp irony I see in thy words?

What I am looking for is someone who can write lyrics on the given subject matter. I've got much of the plot thought out and what I need is someone who can express it in poems.

Why sell it? Dealing with money would bring up numerous other difficulties. Why not just compile the better musical pieces and release them online as a compilation just for fun?

And Damien's idea also seems good, with a basic rating system and a genre classification it could turn out just fine.

After the release of 'Under dark skies' I've been wondering upon the musical direction I should take. Well, I have now decided. I am going to create another conceptual progrock album, albeit this time not so downhearted/or at least I think so now/. I have more or less ironed out the plot of the narration - it is going to be reminiscent of Catcher in the Rye, exploring such themes as alienation, generation gap, introversion and coming of age. Trouble is, I know what I want to say, but I don't possess the poetic means to do so. And here is where I need help - if you'd like to contribute to ~10 songs on my future album, I would greatly appreciate it. The tone of the poems/lyrics should be to a great extent reflective, with a melancholic touch to them. As the album shall be free of charge, you also should not expect to get paid in a way different than praise and inner satisfaction. What I am looking for most, however, is the elusive thing described as poetry - it defies all definition but I'll certainly recognise it when I see it. If there's anyone interested, feel free to pm and ask me about details and/or send a sample of your work.

Thanks guys!

Eurovision is not entertaining? Oh come on, you like MST3k, don't you? This is pretty much the musical equivalent. Except that the comments are supposedly serious.

Wow, we finished fifth overall! I hardly expected that, given that our song was awkwardly weird. Ukraine's and Turkey's entries were abysmal, and I'm surprised how they finished so high up. The eye roll the British presenter did before announcing that the 12 points go to Turkey was priceless though.
I quite like the Serbia song, it was probably the best at the final. Sounded a bit like the Bosnia song from last year, which is a positive thing for me. :)

It's great to see this one back in production! Seeing as AG have started a new Adventure Architect, are you still going to write for them?
#95
I think the rules should be as strict as the one who sets them wants them to be. It's also harder to judge completely different tunes in style and mood. Moreover, the winner in my opinion should have the freedom to set whatever rules he wishes, and to hear the entries in the respective genre.

Congratulations Oz, your tune rocked on a higher level!

Hey, I played the demo, and I must say it looks quite promising indeed. Here are some of the points I made:

- Decent graphics, with nice animation. You definitely need some more animations, though/walkcycles in particular/
- Gripping plot/thus far/
- It's somehow too quiet, some music would enhance the atmosphere of the game immeasurably, and the introduction sequence in particular[Edit: I see you've answered that already, go m0ds!]
- If you can make talking portraits sierra-style, that would also add a lot to the gaming experience.
- Simple and effective interface, keep it like that

I wish you luck with the game and hope you'll take those crits/and praises/ into consideration.

That Night Before is a cool game, made with umm... The games factory?

Ditto what BOYD said.
