dayowlron, remind me that I owe you one !!! :-D
It worked fantastically well, you were great.
Thank you very much for your kind help and for everyone. :)
I just had to disable Ignore colors specified on webpages to make it appear in the normal way again.
I just wonder why because it has always been active and I have never had a similar problem before.
#402
Okay, forgive me if I misunderstood. I will try to do this.

@Crimson Wizard:
I think that to fix the problem I should uninstall Ags and then to install it again...okay, I try to do that and then let you know. The only strange thing is that I have a lot of versions of Ags inside my folder and all of them now look like this...

@Mandle:
You sincerely made me smile !!! :-D

@Alan v.Drake:
Sadly, I didn't change anything in Windows configurations as I mentioned earlier.
The only thing I did was to add some dll files to the folder System32.
Suddenly, I opened Ags and the manual became all black.
Ps: Alan ti seguo da sempre, ti stimo moltissimo !!!

Hi dayowlron, thanks for answering. :)

I am pretty sure that I didn't change my theme of windows recently...
But now that you remind me, I have try to put some dll files into my folder System32...
My netbook it's pretty empty at the moment about programs so far, so I can't say if some other programs run just fine...

Hello guys,

I don't know what I have done recently but now when I try to open the manual inside the Ags editor it's showing in this way. :(

Have any of you ever had such a problem?
If so how did you get it back as it was before?

The graphic style of this game as the style used in colors is simply fantastic. :)
One of my friends tried the demo and was very pleased to play.
I've not had the chance to try it yet but I should do it as soon.
I wish you still good luck for the game. :)

Complimenti ragazzi, avanti tutta. 8-)

Hi Vincent,

I've already thought about adding emoticons; right now the text is created using DrawStringWrapped() but I wanted to implement links, so I'd have to pick apart and reassemble the bubble text anyway.

Hi Khris.
I have try to reassemble so far the bubble text and adding an emoticon graphic in it but it didn't work at all.
I was just able to show the emoticon graphic outside the bubble text which it's not looking very well..

Dragging and dropping the button however is pretty easy and unrelated to the module. Just look up code for dragging GUI buttons or objects and implement it in your game.

I apologize if I misspoke about the dragging and dropping question.
I meant to say to use the dragging and dropping method (to the btnFirstChat) to make scroll the messages history (as it's working for the mouse wheel) but without dragging and dropping the button itself just to use the dragging and dropping method to scroll the messages if possible..
I hope you understand what I mean.

As for opening a file selection window, not possible. You can populate a listbox with filtered content of your game folder, but you cannot browse the hard drive. You can select and load an image file in the same folder as the game though.

I'm not sure what I'm about to say but if I remember correctly there's a module made by Wyz "TilemapConv1.0.0" which does exactly a browse to our hard drive to find a folder containing a TMX files..
Anytime we select '..' inside the listbox then it move to the parent directory.

Ps: Everything you're going to implement it sounds fantastic !!! :)

It's actually an executable.

Hi Khris.
I would like to say that, in my opinion, it's truely amazing the work you have done with this module, really.
Later I have done a quickly basic test to try it out :
http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=gbb02b56387dd286a999940942fd5c255f26ad0a41

Suddenly, I would like to ask you if there is a way to do those extra stuff inside your module so far...

- Add emoticon 'graphic' at the end of the text message lenght if a "needle emoticon" was found inside a string.
- Mouse click at the scrolling bar to make it scroll and visible like how it is working for (mouse wheel support)
- "Drag and drop" the btnFirstChat to make it scroll like how it is working for (mouse wheel support)
- A way to open our computer folders and to select an image to send in the text message (eventually it get resize to a default value to fill well into the text message)

Let me know, if you want, what do you think about those ideas.
Thank you in advance again for reading this message.

We also need a counter-list of properties that are valid to be set in the Editor (as default values), but do not exist on property pane:

Object.Solid.
Hotspot, Region, Walkable area.Enabled ?

Crimson Wizard, I think this would be a fantastic idea to add indeed.
So you can set a certain Walkable area to be disable as its default property as well as for Hotspot and Region too.
I think that since Objects can make use of the property 'View' maybe there could be something similar as for the character pane as you can set the 'NormalView' property. But that would mean to add a default property for the 'View' also for the button pane. (Since it has only the 'Image' property)

@Off topic:
Last night I was trying to change via script the SelectedBackground color, SelectedText color and TextColor from a List Box and I could not do it. (Also to check in case if the "TextAlignment" was set to the 'Left' side so maybe you can place it further as well as on the 'Right' or 'Centre' side... Although this would mean creating a new behavior on the source code)
Later I think I could add this to the 'Bug & Suggestion tracker' in case...

I am not familiar with this kind of issue but I know that Ags 3.3.5 in winsetup you can change the mouse speed.
I am not sure anyway if somehow it could fix this issue at the moment.

#413
Okay, I realized now. I was a bit confused as my usual. :)
After all, I believe it is a right choice that make sense.

Perhaps it would be right if there was a way to choose both ways to define the value of the gamma.
You can restore his value from a saved game otherwise from the system setting.
I am not sure if this is possible and how it can be convenient to do so.
#414
Okay I get it.
Currently there is no way to save the value of the Gamma and load it properly with a saved game.
#415
Many thanks to Crimson Wizard and to all the people who worked on this early beta version.
Now I can't wait to test it out properly.
Many thanks guys again for the hard work you have done together.

The reasoning behind this is that display's gamma is exclusively a user setting rather than part of the game.

If there is a way to make this fact the other way around would be ideal of course (I think).
So to make it exclusively a part of the game and the player can altered gamma only controlled by a GUI slider otherwhise it display his default value anytime. I think it could be scripted properly from the game developer to update the actual gamma value upon a game restoration (It might not be so nice to do in this way but if it can be the only solution to solve this issue then it's just okay).
#416
I just get a little confuse Crimson Wizard, I am sorry.
But your new method however would avoid to do such a thing..
Code: ags

bool IsModeEnabled(this Mouse*, CursorMode mode)

In a more elegant way how you have just proposed.
#417
@Crimson wizard@

I like the idea that you have got, although using arrays do not have a "quick easy" access to enumerations.
But it does not matter much because this idea would solve some issues actually.
#418
:@cat:

I had this issue for a long time but I never mentioned about it on this thread before.
I followed your instructions and it works wonderfully fine.
Thank you so much, I appreciated it very much.

The only thing that now remains to be pointed out is the fact that you can not change the background (repeatedly) without that all the particles remain on the screen... or probably somehow there could be a workaround to do that...
#419
Thank you very much Crimson Wizard, I have just add a new topic in the "Bug & Suggestion tracker" as well.

:EDIT: I am sorry if I break the rules, my mistake.

From now on I will intentionally ignore anything that does not match the thread's topic.

You will do just the right thing.
#420
I know that this is against the rule of this topic, however, I am going to say that the same...
It would be very nice if we could have buttons to be able to have their own transparency as well.
Most of the time I need to implement another gui with a single button to do that and play with ZOrder property anytime...

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Via script we can't get anymore those property so far from the editor.

readonly String Button.Name
readonly String Label.Name
readonly String ListBox.Name
readonly String TextBox.Name
readonly String Slider.Name
readonly String InventoryWindow.Name

bool TextBox.HideBorder

// And it would be very nice to have those property so far :)

int Button.Transparency
int Label.Transparency
int ListBox.Transparency
int TextBox.Transparency
int Slider.Transparency
int InventoryWindow.Transparency
