Here's what I have for the Bake Sale of 2011!

Undead hangover

Uriah Sweetings is a promising young upstart in a web-based indie game developer society. He has worked on dozens of games and is finally on the verge of actually releasing one! At the realization of this, he must have gone out partying with friends for a bit, because as he wakes up next to his bed in the afternoon, his head aches and he can't remember what he was doing last night.

Oh well, the hangover might be the least of his problems, as the LIVING DEAD have risen to take the streets of his hometown and seek the flesh of the living to consume! Just like in one oh Uriah's unfinished games! Oh dear...

Time is against you as you must find a way to escape your home alive. It's not too easy, though, as the living dead can smell your tasty flesh all the way to the street.

Features

- Thrilling time-based gameplay to the tune of WHAMGAMES classic: "LaSol"
- Barricade the doors to slow down the undead advance!
- Multi-action hotspots
- Figure out what happened last night, someone's life might depend on it
- Challenging but rewarding difficulty level
- A bunch of unlockable achievements to make replaying the game after death a bit less depressing
- Original soundtrack by Toni "Ferrara" Caven
- Full voice acting

Uriah ponder on the duality of life as he looks at the door leading to the streets.

I'll give you just two guesses if Uriah can still remember his computer password after last night's binge...

Didn't want to bump the 2 year dormant thread from slumber, so I'll post this in this thread instead:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqiyDzjZHrk

I made a Let's play / developer's commentary of my first ever game: Infection - Episode 1 - The Ship. Take a look and feel free to let me know what you think either through commenting the video or sending me a message or something. :)

In the words of a generation: Tits or GTFO.

I second this notion and demand bare female Homo Sapiens mammaries! I remember one of the old threads, and it looked AWESOME back then. Even more so now!  ;D

I enjoyed the game, although I was left with a massive "What the heck" -feeling at the end.

Hope you don't mind me posting this, but I also recorded my playthrough in Let's Play format and the video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRKZOH0oK1w
(Video just uploaded, will be accessible within the hour)

> Click "Accept".

You click "accept" on the screen.

END OF CHAPTER

Who is on the other end of the conference call?
What was the bright flash of light?
Why was the man in the corridor cursing?
Who the hell are you?
What can you do to escape watery death?

The answers to all these questions, and more, available soon, in "Time is running out - Chapter 4"!

General Discussion / Re: payment options?
Sun 16/10/2011 15:38:42
I can't really suggest anything better, but I would avoid PayPal like the plague.
I've been reading on indie game developers having their accounts frozen for extended periods of time without explanation, possibly due to "suspicious payment patterns" being automatically detected by their system. Their terms of service are quite troublesome if you get payments from all over the world.

> Type in the password "Marble Hornets"

It seems the password field only accepts lowercase and no empty spaces, so you type in "marblehornets".

As soon as the desktop becomes visible there is some sort of beeping noise coming from the speakers and a window pops up on screen.

> Examine poster

You take a closer look at the poster. It looks like it was printed with an ordinary household printer, and you think the picture didn't quite fit on the paper it was printed on. Something seems to be missing both from the top and the bottom of the poster.

The picture itself seems to depict a featureless person in a black suit, standing in the middle of some sort of decrepit corridor with either wallpaper or paint flaking off the walls. You think the original picture was in colour but this one seems to be all black and white.

> Click the "Hint?" button

You use the touchpad to move the mouse cursor and click on the "hint" button. Some text appears on screen.

> Try password: Christina

You enter the password "christina" and hit enter.

The laptop gives you a tiny "boop" -noise and informs you that the password was incorrect.

> Examine laptop

The computer is a pretty standard laptop, currently connected to the wall with a power cord. The laptop is powered and appears to be awaiting password.

Just thought I'd let people know that there has been a slight delay in the developement of He Watches. I'm taking a few months off of the project to work on something else, as well as to take extra time to improve this game in order to upgrade its quality further. I'm hoping to get the quality high enough to  think about going commercial with this game at some point, but nothing is certain yet.

Anyway, estimated release date is H2 of 2012, be it a freeware release or a commercial one.

On a similar note, how long would a game have to be for you to pay £2 for it?

10+ minutes if it's fun.

(Sorry guys, so much input I will default back to the one input per turn for a bit to keep things manageable)

> Approach desk, read the memo!

As soon as the bright light appeared it disappears. You have no idea what caused it.

You approach the desk and grab the piece of paper and read it:

"Greg, do you REALLY need that poster on the wall? I've said it to you, I've sent you e-mails and I've tried moving it and you always have to put it back up. It creeps me out!!!

Please get rid of it? Move it? Hide it?

I'll make it up to you if you do <3

XOXOXO
<3 Christina <3"

You turn the paper around and check the back just to be sure there are no cryptically hidden clues, but nothing is there. You place the paper back on the desk as it doesn't seem very important right now.

Do you guys really prefer your Larry games all non-cartoony? Using photo-realistic girls and such always seem kind of in conflict with the games carefree, non-porny agenda to me... as well as being jarring next to the hyper-absurd puzzles.

All I can really remember of the first game:
Drowning in the toilet and hinted boobies!

Watched the trailed, I see potential! Keep it up, man!

If I'm pissed off about something, I can't really concentrate, but other than that the only issue I have with... working...... is..... *click* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hglB8bnLDM *click*

OHOHOHOHO!!! AHAHAHAHAAAA!!! This is just soooo silly! What was I doing again?

Not too excited myself. Too cartoony and probably will be cencored to ensure wider distribution, so to me this just smells like a cash-in.
Here's to hoping I'm wrong, though!

Whatever the case might be, I feel that publishing any images of persons, no matter how censored or altered, always carries a risk of false identification and persecution. How woulld YOU feel if YOU were falsely accused of being a part of this sexy-leather clad-outlaw group of misfits, that most likely is just a blatant fabrication and a figment of imagination born out of wild accusations and speculation? I demand that if a group of this type exists, it must be forced to identify itself and its members by the end of the week or severe legal action might have to be taken to ensure no false accusations or identifications are made in this matter!

The truth must be laid bare for all men and women and forumites to see! Who is with me!?
