I will most definitely be participating!

1: Quick! Post another screenshot before darth spots you! (Forum rules!)

2: I like the idea and I like the look of the game. Would be awesome if you could post a .gif of a walkcycle or something, so we can see how the animation quality compares with the stills. If it is on par, this is going to be an awesomely cartoony looking game!

Maybe at last someone will use the Underwater module in a completed game!

Nooooo! This just might come too late! I'll have to see if I can get this added up and make my game PRETTY!

*ps:
Ive said it before and Ill say it again: Khris, you really need to get a "donate" button on your signature. Just do it, dammit.

I whole heartedly second this motion. Khris has saved me from many a jam and been incredibly patient with us "newbies".

Didn't they do that in Dead Space and DS2?

Most games do something like that. When you buy a new game you might get a code that unlocks it (Dead space games, Mass effect 2, Assassins Creed 2 etc), so that if you buy a used game, you have to buy the content, even though it's basically a part of the game.

Devious bastards!

Sorry for doubleposting, but I just wanted to know: Is there still someone else than me participating?

Mike provides security for mr. Gervais from the stands, scanning the gathering crowd.

But in all seriousness, I think the request was for characters with walkcycles so that the participants can walk their little characters around in front of the stage. Like antssss...

I have two accounts on this forum. WHAM is actually me.

Foolishness! I am the real one and Ouxxey is actually my more artistic alter ego that surfaces when I forget to take my pills!

Saturday!

If I understand the BST correctly, this should be 2300 here in Finland, so that's just perfect for me.

I just got my gameplay portion off to my beta tester for bug-hunting. 11 Days from start to beta!

EDIT: just got the gameplay portion tested for bugs, should be pretty healthy now. Then to create the cutscenes and tidy up the dialogue.
#2493
Played my game through for the first time last night. Buggy but playable. Now I take a few days to fix it and then it's off to create the cutscenes.

Speaking of which, I'd also like to sell an AGSific item:
One locker door, with the letters AGS engraved on the front.
Any price you care to offer.

Note: full engraving also includes the letter "F".

I have five of those already!

Finally got home from work and tried this. Yes, adding a new sprite worked and the graphics file is now back to about 5MB.

Thank Calin!

I read in the old thread about sprite compression. I enabled it and rebuilt all game files, but there was no effect. Do I need to do something else to activate it?
#2497
Ok, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was unsure if I should bring up a zombie thread, so I'm taking the risk and staring a new one.

I'm making a small game for the on-going MAGS and I came across an oddity.

> My game files, when compiled, are almost 160 MB!!!
The reason seems to be the sprite file, although the images themselves (all .png files, most with alpha channel) are less than 6 MB before they are imported into AGS.

When I use winrar to pack the game, the whole thing becomes less than 1MB (that's right, from 160MB to 1MB).

Is this normal and is there anything I could/should do to reduce file size?

As fas as I know and have used the followcharacter, that command tends to lag behind, so it would not work quite as intended.
#2499
Aaaaah! Now I see! I was just being a dunce about this!
I misunderstood your first post and was, apparently, too blind to realize what you were trying to say.

I'll fix this as soon as I get back home, thanks again!
