If it came to it, I'd love to code additions to the plugin API, engine and anything else required to improve and update AGS as part of a group, just as long as I was only codemonkeying, so as to not use up my creative juices.  :P
While I could probably only just manage it skills-wise at the moment, if my exponential increase in programming skills over the past few months means anything, I'm sure I'd have the skills to be of use within no time.

As long as there is some figurehead that decides what directions should be headed for, I see open-source as no issue.
With that said, there will be trying times ahead as soon as the creator passes on a project.

Yeah, we should organise a road-trip up to the Mana Bar some time...

Early Submission completed and submitted!

'Twas fantabulous fun, as always!

IRC sounds great, if only I can remember it this year...  :-\

I'm aiming for a place in UNSW, so it's possible I'll be there in a year or two.

Good prezzie!

Some time time(in a few years) when I've got the money and time, I'd love to get together with some fellow AGSers on a regular basis, so tell me how the two-person version works out!

Why Melbourne, of all places?

I've been enjoying a few months of dropped-outedness, whisc has been lovely.
But as the beginning of next year approaches, and with it my re-enrolling, I've begun to realise how much I've been wanting to work on games and haven't managed it.

Hopefully I'll still find time next year too!  :D

To Ryan and anyone else out there who might find this useful: This is a collection of the best XNA tutorials I've seen to date. They are all written by the same person, so he knows what you know when.
It may or may not solve your problem. :)

Yeah, often Bikie leather shops will do custom work.

Quote that as a rave preview, Pinback, Bulba swore!

Oh, and you can quote me too:

Looking forward to it!

I confess, I do occasionally play a MMO, hoping to find something a little more socially interactive, but the n00bs are too n00by and the rest are to "n00b!"y, and so I find no-one to explore the world with.

I didn't think you were the WoW type, Calin.  :P

But no, my reaction was about the same as Radiant's.

Yeah, he looks more like he's jogging.

I've not read most of this thread, but the advice I can offer on level design is to get a bunch of games of a similar kind, play them through, and make note of all the bits you enjoyed the most. You might be surprised by which bits you actually enjoy more, since often it seems to be the simpler levels that allow more immersion.
This if what I've been doing while planning a couple of platformers I have in the works, and the best part is that it can all be done on paper or it's digital equivalent.

I agree, it started out with some interesting film suggestions that I went to look up on imdb/wikipedia - but lists happen. Would maybe have helped to title the thread "Suggest a great movie that we probably haven't heard about".
Ok, I bring attention again to The Rage in Placid Lake!

Shite, that's rediculous!  :o

Well, It's a tough call, but I'm going to announce Questionable as the winner, since that Self-Portrait-To-Be is very good considering the shape it has to fit into...unless that's all natural. Heck, you'd get it as an act of charity, maybe it would help ease the pain of being a freak!
Some close runner-ups, including the Duck, the Fish and the Pen, all of which were very nice.
No trophies, as I rather forgot about getting someone to make some, and anything I could produce could be a health hazard.

P.S. Thankyou, Darius, for making this thread much more interesting than it would have been otherwise!
