Bat thing? can't remember that, the hook though, is made by using the croquet hoop on the hole in the railings at the top of the stairwell.

El Dog,
So sorry, I forgot about the stone one. But Troll was your word Here. I tend to think of trolls as being brown (from three billy goats gruff) rather than stone (Lotr/pratchett etc). Hence the confusion. Sounds like you've solved it now, by yourself so that's good ;)

El Dog.
Spoiler
Can you just define what you mean by troll? I assume it is the monster after the Snake in the treasure cave. It's possible I've forgotten the exact order of monsters but a Thread(snake), a thorn(thorny monster) and a berry(red monster) should defeat each one.

El Dog,

I said two posts ago you use a thorn. Do you know you can drop some item down the hole (past the tree), to have ready for fighting the monsters.

El Dog,
Spoiler
You don't need to make a fire, it's clue on how to fight the monsters, and not literal. Get the crown by throwing a stone at the crown, then use reed with thorn to grab crown.

You need a thorn. Remember 'fight fire with fire' from the castle.

el Dog,

The rusty key and banana are both in the office. You need the key form the coat in the hallway before you can get in. Though how to get that is 50% of the entire game. I suggest you work with what you have rather than jumping the gun by reading hints and not having things that appear quite late in the game. Search for hints relative to the problem you are currently stuck on,

This game is a blast. Graphics are tidy and an abundance of cool animations, liked the action bits, but felt the puzzles could have been better, too much pixel hunting.
Spoiler
Never knew a dead man could screech! Also only one small bug, if you kill the guards near end too quickly, they reanimate even though they are dead. Prob a nice feature for the Zombie fans.

Looking forward to the promised sequel.

You need to put the code inside a function, not just anywhere in the script.

Use the interaction editor to setup a 'Run Script' function to call a script when the hotspot is looked at, then place the code in there.

However you will also need to put an

int my_counter;

line in the room script file at the top.

The code outside the functions gets executed when the room is loaded, So this will set the my_counter variable, (initially to 0),
Then your code will only be run when the hotspot lookat function is called.

Emily,
Spoiler
You build an axe by combining a thorn with a reed while also holding a thread. The Thread is in one of the banners in the throne room, thorn in forest bushes, reed in middle of pond, you need to use stones to move the lily pads so you can reach reeds via the log.

Use the axe to get the hankerchief then you can 'fly' from the top of the tree to various places, you need a berry to lure the purple monster out so you can enter the cave.

I really am enjoying this romp of a game. The 30ish hour download using getright on 2.8k per second was a bit of a bind. Anyway DO IT!

Don't use Test Game. There is a instant way of testing stuff. Copy acwin.exe into the game directory, setup a shortcut in the quicklaunch area of windows then just save your room, script, what ever then click the shortcut and the game plays without the friggin exe building.

A few bugs, if you use any inventory item on the Alhoa Mura(?) spell the gui closes and you can not get the gui back unless you move to a different room.

Spoiler
Shoot terrorist then open inventory gui and wait. The Game hangs.

On a personal dislike, I don't like the see through buttons on the GUI. To me it just looks wrong.

Apart for that the 3D cartoon style is working better than I thought it would, you can almost order the rooms in the order they were built, you're definatly getting the hang of 3D stuff. Anims are great and add a lot to the game.

Good work. Keep it up.
EDIT: Finished! Yes I want to see Mordy 3

Just had a crash when I right clicked on one of the Pirates.

Error: The character 'Tony' could not be displayed because there were no frames in loop 3 of view 46.

#218
That was a unique experience. I thought some of of puzzles were a bit trial and error, but overall I enjoyed them. Felt like playing one of those old Jungle type games on the atari home system, gameplay not graphics that is.

Just a wee bug. If you try and walk off the left of the swamp screen with the Pilot guy, the game hangs, repeatdly flashing the 'must wait for pointerman' message.

I think the rules mentioned that the oldie must be retired as well, but I'm sure you can make up a reason why a retired general is in active service? Special mission? Or maybe I missed something in the intro.
