lilac,
Spoiler
The Lava creature blows at the bubble, at different rates depending on how close to it you are. By carefully controlling the rate it blows you can delicately position the bubble in the exact(ish) place so that the sunlight falls on the vine making it grow over the pit.

Always feel disapointed when a game takes more time to download than to complete.

A bundle of really good ideas, loved the 'paw' for mouse, and big bang, now I can say I was there.
I'd set the default game speed higher, I almost stopped playing in frustration, before I found the sliders.

Wrt showing walkable areas as tranparent in the editor, I would prefer some keyboard shortcuts , e.g. keys 1,2,3,4 to change between area so you can keep the mouse still when switching areas.

Are you actually calling the function from anywhere, e.g. from 'player enters room before fadein' ?

If you go into the cave by the cliff with seagulls on, there is a green pipe. Interact with the open end of the pipe.

You should concentrate your efforts on the lazer puzzle, then do the lava/bubble puzzle, then do the sticks puzzle, then the little rock throwing exploits might make sense.

When you solved the lazer puzzle, the creature retracted his tongue. This allowed light to enter the room below. There is now a way to cross over the gap....

Sure I can, and have, made a work around. Point is that the debug code only runs if the character starts in the room. Anyway the bug report is the main issue here.
#452
Version 2.7 . Is this a bug?

Manual says regarding prevroom:
QuoteGets the room number that the character was previously in. If the character is still in the room that they started in, this will be -1. Otherwise, it will be the room number of the room that they were last in.

Now when cEgo starts in room 99, and I put Display("%d",cEgo.prevroom); in playerenters room before fadein,
it displays 99. Not -1.

I want to use this to put default debug code in rooms so I can just start in a room , and if prevroom==-1  have everything setup for testing.

Thanks for that, honestly 257 downloads and no one mentioned that the url was wrong? Also sure I checked it, strange.

Anyway it's fixed now,

Thanks. I never even knew about acwin.exe, always used CTRL+T . This is going to help tremendously.

Is it possible to get the file format for the acsprset.spr file ?

The reason being that mine is currently 95Meg and everytime I test the game it takes about 20 seconds to just save this file. I was considering writing a tool that could 'degrade' the sprites i.e. lower res. Making a safe copy of the original and replacing it in the acsprset.spr with the smaller version. The tool would then 'manage' the sprites so that the user could select to varying levels of quality to drastically speed up development. Obviously the tool could not run whilst AGS was running, and it's possibly very dangerous to mess with these files but I think it worth a try.
I know the sprite compression in 2.7 beta helps this a lot but still would like to attempt this. So file formats for 2.7 and 2.7 beta please ?

Actually just thinking about this it would be smashing if AGS editor had a test lo-res option that simplified all the graphics to speed testing up.

splat44,

ok, there is a huge monster lurking in the moat,(I don't do pixel hunting, I hate this also), maybe your screen settings are making it impossilbe to see. it takes up all of the top half of the moat, you can action it and it surfaces so you can walk on it to get behind the castle. If this is too quick you can throw some fruit at it and it will surface for longer. I alter the visibility of the monster each time the player enters the screen so that at first it is hard to see but gets easier with time.

You need to use the metal rod on the generator at the bottom of the cave, then use this in spring, then take what you get to the Spider cave. I'll leave the rest to you.

lava puzzle
Spoiler
First half is just finding the correct sequence. Second part you have to try and get all the 'fingers' extended at once, bit of nifty mouse clicking but not too hard.
