For all those adventure horror fans, the teaser (demo) for the game from Sendscape, Asylum is available on their website. I'm not much into 1st person adventure games like Myst because they feel so empty and make me feel so lonely (its reminds me of my real life), but Sendcape 1st game Scratches really caught my attention and I like it. Probably I will download my ticket to the mental institute tomorrow.

Great podcast, is just like watching The Big Bang Theory without any video. Me gusto la voz de Dr. Morales lol. Very informative stuff about doing things with AGS. These 7 are the only podcast available? Also, does someone know the name of the song at the beginning? I remember hearing it a long time ago.

After reading all that its really make me a bit afraid lol, but thx for the words and the advice. Is good to see such a nice and big community on AGS forums. Guess for now I will stick on playing other ppl games, maybe in the future I will gain the courage to try it, and of course, the patience..

Will do, also, I discover AGS like 2 years ago, so there were some old games I played to catch up, like the Yathzee games so I also like the old stuff. Now that you are here, I wonder, it was difficult making your 1st game? You have a bit of knowlegde on how to make it? I have not knowledge on programmings skills, or drawing or anything to make a game lol, but I like writing and have some ideas on my mind.

I see, I will take a look at the Barn Runner series. Fedora Spade, I remember hearing about that a long time ago, I will check it out, must be real good if you compare it to Snatcher (yes, I really love that game). I don't know why so few adventure games use this style, but that makes
them more unique.

Thx!!! I will check that game. About Snatcher, the easiest explanation is to compare it to the Ace Attorney series, if you have not play it is like this:
Is with still images, with lips moving and the portrait of the character change when there's a emotion like fear or sadness, but its got action sequences in the style of Point Blank, I think is called lightgun shooter or something.. You choice dialogue options, explore the enviroment (still image) for clues. Is a very simple tactic, but work well if you want to put a lot of dialogue in the game. Good luck on the contest btw.

Snatcher!!!! That was the game that hook me on the whole adventure thing. It was my second adventure game (the first one was Syberia, I really like thought) and it give me an experience I will NEVER forget.

One of my favorites games of all time is Snatcher, an adventure game for the Sega CD. Also, my favorites non-indie games of this gen are the Ace Attorneys series and 999. I wonder is there are any games like that in the AGS engine, or at least a work progress. I think in those type of games you can have more dialogue between the characters, and good character development.

Planescape... I always heard about that game but never get the change to play it. I need to give that game a try sometime.

I honestly don't think Chrono Trigger as the best RPG, I don't think is even on my Top 10, is a very good game thougt, but I have better experiences with the Shining Force series, Phantasy Star IV, Anachronox, Earthbound, Xenoblade Chronicles and so on.

Thx so much it worked!!! I was stuck in this puzzle for like 3 days lol. So I finally give up and asked for help. Is really an awesome game for being your first. I like to write myself but I don't got talent to put a game together. But thank you for this masterpiece. I will like to see more of your work in the future.

How I past the piano puzzle. I got the notes but I'm confused with the "p" and "b".
#54
No problem, and we need to see more games like this. But, can you give me a tip on the piano puzzle lol, I have tried but I did not seem to get it right. I tried with the puppy book's teachings, but still can't pass it. My 1st language is spanish, I don't know if maybe I'm miss reading the book or something, or maybe the part of my brain that deal with music is mess up.
#55
Congrats its a great game, the puzzles are very clever but never frustrating until I got to that piano one. I guess I'm very dumb in music stuff. Is good to see this kind of mature games.

I really wanted to try this game, but for some reason I can't. It starts on a black screen and then nothing happens :(
I tried in a netbook, not know if that might be the problem.

The thing with 999 it that it has multiple path. So you can beat it 3 times and each time you get something different and not just the ending, even important parts of the story is omitted, and that encourage you to take another path, that was very clever. I'm currently playing Hotel Dusk, after that I want to check Professor Layton both for DS. In PC I'm still waiting for Asylum and The Cat Lady. It been a long wait for those and still waiting.

You got that right about the skip part. But the fast foward is pretty fast, I mean you can get to the end in less than 40 minutes doing the skipping and knowing the puzzle. As for the puzzle, they where original, but I guess u meant they where easy, and that's true. But the story is amazing, I beat multiple times only so I can get all the endings. It is was of the best stories in a video game in this last couple of years. Also, I'm mostly comparing the game in the console/handheld way. For me, it is one of the best game in that category.
