Question already answered Here and in your email. As for the pieces of glued candy, you get them anyway, as you may have noticed on the candy counter.

Hints & Tips / Re:HOTEL HANSEN - LOBBY
Mon 08/03/2004 05:07:14
You have to go IN the sauna, get the key card for the elevator, go up to the next floor, go to the janitors closet, get the key to 111, get the key to 112, go through the emergency exit, get the crow bar, pry up the loose tile, get the blue lobby key, go out the yellow lobby front doors, and into the blue lobby. I'm pretty sure that's how it goes. If something is off, sorry.

I think I know what your problem is for the key in the kitchen. The Inventory box can only show so many things on the screen, so there is an arrow that shows more. Click it and there it is.

As for the second question, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. You have to use the blue lobby key that's found under the loose tile in the yellow lobby, like Bill Nye said at the beginning of the game.

Well, I would LOVE the money, but unfortunately, I have no way of collecting it.  :'( It was intended to be a joke. Sorry for the confusion. Everything on my site is absolutely free.

General Discussion / Re:Screen recorder?
Thu 22/01/2004 02:10:32
I suggest using SnagIt. Its what I use and it works really well. It's not free, but you can download it off of some p2p program, like KaZaA, or eMule for free. It can capture the whole screen, text, just a specific area of the screen, or capture things off of websites like pictures, videos, sounds, etc. at the EXACT quality and resolution it was origionally.

Halloween v. 2.0 is now available for download! I just replaced the old and obsolete version. Here is a list of fixes:

Some Typographical Errors were corrected
Scaling>Walking Speed accurate (walks slower when small)
Game now in 32-bit color instead of 16-bit color
640x480 resolution to stop unwanted room scrolling
Now player walks to whatever they look at
Anti-alias text
Anti-alias character scaling
Front Door in Foyeur fixed
Secret Character bugs fixed (can actually play as them now)
Improved scoring interface
Character scales in rooms fixed (in front of hotel)
New walk-to points in hotel

Hotel Hansen v. 2.0 is also out. Here is a list of fixes for that game:

No longer in "Debug Mode"
Inventory Items now have descriptions
Some Typographical Errors were corrected
Hotspots bigger and easier to hit
"Back to Game" button on the Help page brings player to previous room, instead of back to the beginning of the game
Transparencies of keys and other objects fixed
Object sizes fixed
Scaling>Walking Speed accurate
Installer now gives info about Hotel Hansen, instead of Halloween
Some improved music and sound files
Player doesn't get in the way of objects or hotspots
Game now in 32-bit color instead of 16-bit color
Better-colored backgrounds
Easier to see and understand GUIs
640x480 resolution to stop unwanted room scrolling
Fixed walk-behind areas
Re-sized and better cursors
Now player walks to whatever they look at
Improved walkable areas

You can find the game in the Medium-Length Games section. The fixes should make the games allot better, since some of the problems seriously affected the game play. I am also making a 3-D rendered version of the Haunted Mansion in Halloween. It will have everything from keys to furniture, and be up to perfect scale. It will be up for download on my site soon enough.

Please note that this picture is a VERY crude version of the final product.

The secret characters are Bill Nye and Mr. Peanut.

NICE! It worked! Thanks a bunch.  ;D

After modifying my newly fixed GUI,  I decided to test the game. When I tried, it just went to a black screen and gave me this error message:

What does it mean and how do I fix it? The game doesn't work at all. After I press OK, it just shuts the game down.

Just to clear up any confusion, here is the link to the game:

Sorry about that! Should I just post the game to end all the redirects? Is it good enough?

Well, here is how to get into the other doors:
Spoiler
First, go into room 111, and go through the emergency exit. Theres the first mystery solved. To get the key to the blue door, use the crow bar leaning against the desk to pry up the cracked tile, like bill nye said. Now go outside, and use the key that was in the underground room to unlock to blue door. In case you don't know how to get to room 111, jsut get into the elevator, and press the Up arrow, to go to the second floor. Walk to the bottom of the screen to go to the other end of the hall. Get the key to 112 in the janitors closet, and then get the key 111 in room 112.

There is NO way to get into the sauna or the other two doors IN HALLOWEEN. But if you want to see what is in the other rooms, you can download my older and crappier game, Hotel Hansen. You can download it here: Hotel Hansen. That is the game where you wander through the WHOLE hotel, and find out what happened before the Halloween game was made, and why you need the $200. It explains almost everything, but I never posted it on AGS because I think it's crap really really easy.

Well, I DO know how much is in each room, but it's different in each room, so it would be really hard to name them all. Some rooms have none, some have up to 15! My walkthrough will be done in a maybe a week or two, so you can either wait for that, or just try again for the rest. Sorry!

Well, make sure you didn't click on anything that destroys candies. This may require some trial and error. There is too many to list, so just try your hardest and check the least likely places...

Wow, your not very far at all.
Spoiler
Ok, first of alll, you need to get into the kitchen. (The key to the kitchen is in the room with the hole in the floor. It's glued to the frame of the "Simpsons" picture.) In the kitchen, search in the sink for the Fridge Mate 1000 key. Use that to open the fridge, and get the key for the cabinet closest to the door in the kitchen. Once in the room full of keys, the appropriate key to choose is "Q23", as said in the room with a hole in the floor. The very center key also has some candy under it.

The key to the other room in the bathroom is the only key Not Glued to the floor found in the room filled with keys. You should know which one the real is by reading the note in the room with the hole in the floor...
