@Snarky: I could bring a mini-DVI to VGA or mini-DVI to composite, if you have an "older" white model.

I could also provide a virtual machine (vmware) running Window7 32 bit.

Has VMWare yet been released for Android :P

But wait - maybe that netbook could stream the video signal to your tablet, which throws it at the TV... SIENCE!
#1143
Maybe that 50" TV would help you out  :=
Does anyone have a VGA to HDMI cable?

Apart from that I'd also really like to show and tell something, so I keep my fingers crossed that anyone brings a portable computer.

General Discussion / Jim Sachs rules

Since the new topic count for today is pretty low, whereas the currently active users count is high, my wild guess is that everyone is busy and/or bored. So you could as well visit this gallery here and admire the pixelart of Jim Sachs :)

You could download a maniac mansion starterpack. Besides the SCI-Font editor won't work on truetype fonts ;)
#1147
The font on the buttons is a different story ;) But you're right, I haven't included LucasFan-Font (which I hope is the one you're looking for), but xpaider pixel explosion.

If recall correctly, xpaider supports more foreign characters

Happy Birthday Khris!

And a happy belated one to Tabata and Wonkeyth :)

Err.... create a new game using the 9 verbs template? It all there... cursor font, you name it.

Why going to Rosslare by train, it's way faster (although it might be a bit more expensive)? As for the cab, I hope I'll catch the big blue one ;D

But  I have no clue what a real cab might cost.

Edit:
Oh, I just noticed you won't be able to catch the train at 13:30.. bummer.

Just booked the bus from Dublin to Wexford - hooray 2011, even that's possible online ;D

So around  10 o'clock pm I'll strand in Wexford.

About Willy Beamish: I just can remember those OPL3 Soundblaster tunes and I actually bought the CD version after my cracked floppy version always crashed at the Frumpton Sludgeworks.

If Outcast counts as an adventure, that soundtrack blew me away and, also the new edition of Monkey Island 2 has terrific score.

As for AGS games, I usually love what Thomas Reign and David Pfaller do. In games: Snakes of Avalon and Besieged, yay :D

Yeah, ASE also is my freeware favorite. And as far as I know, no free and more advanced pixel editor can handle tilemaps as nice as ProMotion does.

I once wanted to write  a winsetup replacement in TCL/TK. No frameworks needed, easy to customize, GUI support, platform independent. But somehow I lost interest, since Resource Hacker worked pretty well.

Also I agree with Gilbot - why including the need for a framework _just_ for the config tool? Wine users might agree ;)
#1155
Way too late but maybe it's any help:
You can use Resource Hacker to translate winsetup.

AGS-Member Miori for example did this:

Where are we going to meet at Dublin Airport?
6.00 pm would be cool ;D

About this "me getting picked up at Wexford in the middle of the night"... will one of you guys stay sober and do it?

Even though this has been already answered, I'd like to add that you'll suffer from screen tearing if you don't activate v-sync and play fullscreen.

Apart from that, my very own platformer scrolls pretty speedy nowadays.

@Vince: Wow, infinity bit sure is stunning. Where were you when the Amiga needed you ;)

Some day I should stop hiding in the woods and actually get to know people & country  :-\
My knowledge is pretty much limited to what I get to know from my mother-in-law - so everything beyond 1970 is out of my reach ;)

Sorry Monkey, Santa Park in Rovaniemi is actually mostly an underground military bunker, and not the underground amusement part the ads say. =(

I beg to differ:

Actually I've never been to the underground Santa Park yet, but the Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle is actually quite nice (and crowded). And since they have a  convincing Santa above the ground, I'm very sure that the park is only a prison for criminal elves :D

Haha.. you've won the what?!   Okay, I heard that on the radio, but yeah - I never watched a single game. Congrats anyway ;D

And you're right, it's just a stupid antenna, kept in direction with lots of wires and nails.
But if they at least send the finals I'll be safe. Thanks a lot for the dates!
