Yup. The fonts are rendered correctly inside the game. It just a bit annoying to create GUIs if you can't read what you're typing ;)

This is bothering me for quite a while now. All fonts I've imported into AGS are shown in the wrong size. In the game itself, those fonts are shown in the correct size. Is there a way to correct this?
I'm afraid reimporting the fonts doesn't help :(

Still for a MAGS game, this one is considerably long. I've been really entertained by this title - but of course I'm not a pro ace speaker myself (and to be honest, far away from getting there ;) )

Personally I can live with a certain amount of spelling/grammar mistakes - as long as the game is fun.

Or you add a comment, that if the character's behind a walkable area and the player wants to drop an item there, that he'll never find it there...

Oh, and it's good to know, that I'm not the only one who has played Elvira. Is there a game you haven't played yet, Progz? ;D

I'm not sure, if Khris has released a stand-alone version, but it's included in his Monkey Island Template.

Meanwhile you could also take a look at my customized version:

You need to put something like this in your game start section

Unfortunately, lazy as I am, I've hardcoded a GUI button into the code.
So if you like to activate the hotspotfinder via GUI click, you have to change line 174 to the correct button (in ShowHotSpots.asc).

If not, you can remove the whole repeatedly_execute section ;)

I thought, you didn't want to limit the inventory in easy mode at all?

How about adding the hotspot/object finder by KhrisMUC and assign it to a GUI-button? That way, you see all the objects you need.
I'm using it and also like it a lot :)

I do remember, that the game "Elvira-Mistress of the Dark" had a room-inventory as well.

Although I don't like the idea of a limited inventory :P my suggestion is to add an option to flip the inventory.
In normal mode, it shows you own stuff, and after hitting "flip" it shows the room items. Or even more Sci-Fi: add a "Room Scanner" that highlights those items  :=

A more common approach (at least in console RPGs) is, like ProgZ said, adding Chests or some other storage. And those chest all share the same content - so you don't have to travel ages to get an item ;)

I miss the days were mods and I were mates and he couldn't believe my age, so I had to send a scan of my id.
Though I do not miss the day, when I screwed up the Vestibule  ::)

Oh... and I miss the GODS of AGS, who even had a closed subforum and never released anything ;D

I'm not an expert myself, but I'll give it a try.

The good thing is, that your colour-scheme is very nice and suitable. Apart from that, it looks too much like a blog for my personal taste... well, it's still lightyears ahead of what your school has now ;)

Top border:
I'd get rid of the black outline (or make it thinner) and also, you could give the photobanner more space to the top. Maybe add some breadcrumbs like: About  |  privacy  |  disclaimer  |   contact  |   etc.

The button bar is hard to judge since I don't know, if you're doing mouseovers.
But anyway, between "Om skolan" and "Aktuellt there's an anti aliased outline which looks nice. But most of the rest  have black outlines again.
(If I remember, black outlines aren't too great in adventure graphics as well ;) )
Maybe make the button more "obvious" is good idea too.

Also if you keep using the upright format, keep in mind, that most people buy 16:9 screens these days. Or least most of the parent who will visit that site. So maybe you should make the layout flexible.

And even if it's ridiculous and the gouvernment sucks and all that... those sites could be a good reference for what you're doing.
E.g. http://www.bund.de uses a similar and very clear layout. And on top of that, it's so boring, that you don't get distracted ;D
(click on "Deutsch" in the top right corner, so you get some content there)

Or it simply doesn't work with proxies...  ::)

Anyway: Here's what I did to make it crash.

Opening 4 script files + headers. Compiled -> success
Leaving the editor alone for some minutes and used photoshop
coming back added a blank line to a header file. Compiled -> crash

It happens all the time - it's hardly possible to work with Beta4 at all.
And it's also not easy to tell, when this happens. It definately happens, after I've changed a header and AGS wants to compile all the files again (16 script pairs so far).

It also happens a lot after I change a room script without opening the room - but in the end, opening the room and editing the script later hasn't helped either.

Saving for example works all the time, but after hitting compile often makes the editor crash. When I then restart AGS, compiling works fine again.
