It doesn't really give me a "dystopian" vibe.
Well, the song does include Major7 prominently which adds a somewhat 'strange' element, and an F/Em chord as a bridge to the F chord... but I see what you mean.

Background Art
I can do light background art for games, preferably low-res.
Web Design
Definitely can do Web Design, as I'm a web designer - see here
Coding
I can do you some coding.
Music
MIDI w/ Garageband.

Keep in mind that I have a lot of stuff to do during the week with school and all, but during the weekends I can usually get in a bunch of progress.

Visit my site if you are interested!

BTW I am in the process of updating my website regarding my web design profession, but there is a contact link on my site. I don't want to provide it here for spam reasons.

This sounds like the start of some elaborate fraud scheme... which culminates in you buying an island and hiring a security force.

I like your graphic style but I noticed a small graphical 'error'- in the dungeon screenshot "when you're strung up by a man...", the small window at the left is larger farther away from you then it is closer to you! That would make the window non-rectangular.

Amazing looking game!

Image uploaded.

EDIT I am actually talking about perspective focal points, see also horizon lines, etc.

Wow, thanks! I'm in the process of digitizing it through Garageband.

I got some ideas for background music for a post-apocalyptic, dystopian society-arisen-from-the-ashes-that-enslaves-innocent-people type of adventure game.

Sorry for the really, really, really bad recording, I recorded it on my cell phone as financial situations have prevented me from buying Rode NT1-As for miking my piano.

It is an AMR file, so you need to right-click the link and save as (at least in Google Chrome), sorry. I couldn't find a way to convert it.

Download and Critique Me!

EDIT
The chord pattern is C-F-C-F-C-F-G-F-C , rinse, repeat.

EDIT2
Its now an MP3

The kitchen column looks more aligned with the half way mark than the traditional rule of thirds.

Maybe you should shift the counter a little, moving the column over?

Try this:
A) Merge the save & load buttons into a menu button. This lets the player change other options, too, like audio and graphical stuff.
B) G.A.S. could be a cool device... if implemented right:
    1. NEVER have an ingame device that ignores player inputs. The player will either think somethings wrong and/or will get very aggravated.
    2. Have you played the new Wolfenstein game? When you use up a special bar with your 'mana,' the color drains from the screen. How about that? or maybe, say an object is bright and stands out, have it change its colors to blend into the background more.
    3. NEVER have an item/hotspot disappear, just blend it in to the background.
    4. Rename it to "awareness" or something.

Hi,
I am looking at starting an adventure game and am trying to choose between an on screen or an off screen focal point.

What are the pros and cons of the different focal points?

Thanks in advance!

Very distinctive style and well done pixel art!

Maybe a wallpaper pattern or a simple color on the walls besides white would be nice.

Very nice looking and very promising!

Your website isn't loading for me, for some reason, and maybe its just a resizing issue, but your sprites seem to be blending into your backgrounds. (At least for me, I'm red-green colorblind) Maybe you could change up the colors a little bit, to make it easier to tell the difference?

Also, maybe an on-screen focal point as opposed to the one currently off-screen to the right? (Consider the bar scene in Monkey island 2 with JoJo the monkey; the focus is on the bartender)

Very promising, though!
