Good morning all.

I would just like to ask a question that is likely to remain unanswered but this is my first question of the year ...

Do you think that one day we will have the chance to see a game made on AGS able to be ported to Windows Store?

I was a little interested in the Microsoft SDK, in an msix/msixbundle compilation of my exe but obviously, no ags file turns into a compatible installation file to be only uploaded to the Microsfot store ... is not my specific domain so I struggled and gave up but if ever someone had a solution to be able to allow an AGS game to be published or compatible on Windows Store (like for Unity) and even more to be adaptable for Xbox live ... I'm a taker ... as certainly almost all the dev here :)

Best wishes for 2021!
Mine will be to see one day AGS games be able to join the Windows Store, although having searched for these terms on this forum tells me that no one seems interested in this option, or that everyone seems resolved never to see this possible ...
and if it is this last option that remains ... why should it be impossible if the cause is already doomed to failure?

I think a lot of the developers here would love to see this possible ... but is it a dream come true or a Utopia?

Thank you in advance for your information or advice and have a nice game on my last free products GrandMa ! ;)

I have not looked at the version number as the game went on smoothly, have not detected any flaw.

Having more episodes, it makes sense to have more things in the inventory. Anyway, it added to the atmosphere, nicely done, ocngratulations!

Looking forward to the next episodes. And thank you for sharing your work with us! Appreciated
thank you !
it's always a pleasure to have feedback.
they are quite positive on the whole, which motivates me enough to consider the continuation ... But no precipitation! :)
have a good day !
ps: to know the version in an idea: version 1.3 (and therefore the last debugged) displays animated shoe steps in pointer when you have an area where you can go ;)

Fantastic game, funny riddles and very polished graphics. Despite having neither text nor speach I was always clear about the situation.

Finished it a few days ago. But
Spoiler

took me a while until I used the cane on the vase, more by accident - I also had the volume down

Spoiler

I also had quite a lot of things in the inventory and there are a few other things to do in addition

Thanks for the feedback.
A version 1.3 has just been put online this morning with much more efficient gameplay with regard to the choice of cursors and the manipulation of objects. I don't know if you played on version 1.3 or the first, but 1.3 is improved (we can see the version of the game on the home page, before launching the game, under the trash can next to GrandMa.

As for the number of objects, don't forget that it's an episode 1 and that the rest that is useless at the moment should be used for the sequels;) my first game had a lifespan and investigation between 6 and 8 hours (3 geeks);)

Hello !
I present to you my second game.

This is a pilot episode of a point and click adventure entirely carried out under AGS, with Grandma and her black cat Marius ...

A very short game that can be completed in 30 minutes maximum.
The complete scenario is in place, but I do not yet know if I will do the second ...
please players ... it is very likely ...
If everyone does not care ... it will only remain the pilot stage :)
Logic...

There are 3 hidden achievements to unlock in this episode ... it's up to you to find them!

Good game !

I'd really like to know where the flawed Linux binaries came from, and compare with the ones in snap's version. Adipson, did you download them from somewhere, or built yourself?

the game was compiled by the AGS software at the time of build in its classic method

By the way, adipson, I haven't played the game very much but I already like the obscurity of it.
You should really add a way to skip cutscenes (like with the Esc-Key).
Oh, and what version of the AGS Editor are you using?

Hello
thank you !
I thought about the function escha but it hurts, when creating a scenario that follows each other over the actions, to imagine that we can skip the steps when there are sometimes clues in the cinematics to better understand this scenario that goes on several time zones.

I started the game in 2012 on the version of the time and finished this month under the latest version 3.4.1.15

Hello
I'm proud to announce the release of the adventure game point and click 3 geeks !
IN ENGLISH AND IN FRENCH !

The game is on sale on itch.io and Gamejolt for the moment but a free demo version of the complete Chapter 1 is available for Windows at the bottom of the game card at: https://adipson.itch.io/3-geeks

3 GEEKS

A post-nuclear adventure in which you control three neurotic geeks who've escaped from a madhouse.

DOWNLOAD THE FREE DEMO HERE : https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/2320/

Synopsis:

Rodolphe Wallace, a 30-year-old unemployed inventor, finds himself plunged into a crazy and incredible adventure with his two friends: Cyprien Karanoff, a neurotic neat-freak; and Luc Vega, a bipolar, impulsive geek with only four seconds of active memory. To escape from the madhouse in which they've been locked up for a year, the three companions hide aboard a space shuttle that sends them into orbit around Earth, allowing them to avoid a nuclear apocalypse caused by Nathanael, a maniac who wanted to avenge his goat who died from human pollution.

Five years later, the shuttle automatically returns to the partially irradiated Earth and deposits the three madmen in a desert near a post-nuclear town called Ragoon City. And then the adventure really begins...

Features:

-Go on an exciting adventure with crazy characters (references to French cult comedies unavoidable).

-Control three characters who have very different personalities: a pretentious, grumpy, unemployed inventor; a neurotic, germophobic chemist with tics; and a bipolar, impulsive geek with only four seconds of active memory.

-Solve balanced puzzles, neither too difficult nor too easy. Your notebook will help you keep track of your objectives.

-An easy-to-use interface lets you save the game anytime and configure the game options.

-Four chapters with at least six hours of gameplay, depending on your experience with point-and-click adventure games.

-Neat, cartoon-y graphics and a plot that will make you want to keep on playing.

-HD graphics and options for other resolutions. Play full screen or windowed.

-A humorous point-and-click adventure reminiscent of Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island but with the French touch from Adipson Studio.

-Game available for Windows in French (default version) and English.

Linux Version?

A version of Linux is in study but not really certain so far, because in the test phase, the verison compiled having some problems with me on Ubuntu at the level of sound and therefore not certain that the game runs correctly on Linux. A post exists on this subject and if you use Linux, I invite you to participate: https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=56772.msg636600404#msg636600404 (demo of the game under Linux in the post)

Free Playable demo of the Chapter 1 on the down of the page itch: https://adipson.itch.io/3-geeks
Official blog for news and downloads: http://www.adipson.com
Demo on Gamejolt: https://gamejolt.com/games/3GEEKS/390738

I'm working now on a new trailer in English but you can see the first trailer (in french)...

Have a nice game !

Hello
sorry for the delayed response but the release of this game took me a lot of time for 15 days.
For this case, in fact the game AGS works (although it is in strange resolution) on my latest version ubuntu but does not broadcast any sound)
The sound is correctly configured on my computer a priori since I hear the players videos etc.

But when you run the exe on linux, everything works without any sound and I do not know indeed if this is the case in other players.

I put online the playable demo for LINUX so that you tell me on your side if you have sound in the game? And by the way, if you can play it with a good graphic resolution because on my Linux it pixises a little ...

the playable demo of chapter 1 complete of 3 Geeks FOR LINUX is here : http://adipson.free.fr/3geeks/3GEEKS-Linux.zip

By the way if you are interested to test the demo version on Windows it's here: http://adispon.free.fr/3geeks/3GEEKS-DEMO.zip (No problem on Windows of course)

Thank you for your answers !

Hello everyone.
I just looped my point and click ags and everything works fine (created from Windows 10 with latest version of AGS). File compiled on Windows and operational game. However, I wanted to compile it for LINUX at the same time.

So I installed the latest Ubuntu on my workstation and launched the game compiled on Linux (test version on the pc) and it works apart from the sound. No sound, no music. I do not know Linux at all and do not know if it comes from a misconfiguration of my pc, the OS ? (I have sound for music players, videos etc on the OS)

In short, the simplest question is:
when you compile the game under Linux, is it 100% functional on the Linux OS?

Thank you for your answers

Hello and thanks for sharing your game with us!

Please (edit your first post to) tell us a little about the game! What is the story? Etc.

Also; please add two screenshots from the game as well (I know the YouTube has several but the forum rules require two visible screenshots).

Thanks and best of luck with the game and its translations.
Ok  ! thanks

Hello !
I present you my very first games under AGS (under construction since 2012!)
Unfortunately, having a level of English in school, I can not at the moment offer it translated version in your language and it is therefore in my natural language (French).

I am actively seeking an English-to-French translator to correct / translate the translation file passed by Google translate but it is not an easy task to find a person able to master both English and French in our country.
If someone feels an attack, I propose to send him the txt file to translate from FR to UK so that he tells me for example its price.

Otherwise, and the game will only come out on France ...

Hello !

First of all, I apologize for my English schoolboy rather often obliges me to go through google translation!
I participated this weekend in the Ludum Dare 35 with AGS and a little point and click and I'm surprised there is not much to code ags in this contest ... normal on the other side .. a point and click in 48 or 72 hours is not really an option.

But I still made a small set of 3 scenes to put some ags filled in Ludum Dare other than Unity or Game Maker!

Occasionally, if you have a wordpress account, I have nothing against your encourragements and your votes!

DOWNLOAD on the LDJAM page : http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-35/?action=preview&uid=22158http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-35/?action=preview&uid=22158

I did it in 60 hours, i 'm slepping 3 hours on this 60 hours and now i have to work because i'm late !!!!! lol   Ludumdare35 kills me !

What?? You got that all wrong!?
A Gun is the first essential! If all else fails you can just rob the other suckers that stock piled on food  and beverages and thought "gun is non essential". (laugh)

and machete !
because the ammunition are not unlimited and it's better in the melee ... even for irradiated zombies! :)
