Yes, exactly, I read about it and wanted to try it myself.

I know it's a bug, but a nice one.

Congratulations on the release of this gem. Loved the demo already.

The game is awesome, I played on easy, and you still have to manage the money and choose well, what to do and what not. The gameplay is very special, and fascinating.
The first time I finished the game, Walter survived somehow, but not like I expected, and the second time, I thought Walter survived but that damn rat...

Will start a new game soon, and try to do anything right to get to the best ending.

And its really (too) cheap, only 10,99€, so its a must buy for every adventure fan out there. Go buy it

Quote from: rongel on Wed 01/02/2023 15:42:32It's finally happening:

DREAMS IN THE WITCH HOUSE will be RELEASED on FEBRUARY 16TH!

The game will be available on Steam and on GOG. I've been developing DITWH for seven years now, so this is pretty exciting.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, here's a brand new Release Trailer. Take a look (and a listen, Troy's score is amazing)!

Wonderful news ;)
Loved the demo and can't wait to play the whole game.

Finished your game yesterday, excellent job. Looks really like an old Sierra Adventure, and the random stupid deaths are wonderful.
I got stuck a couple times, but thats normal, finished it without a walkthrough, by the way.

So, when comes the next part?

Really happy I noticed this thread. So cool! I haven't played it yet (or any earlier version of KQ4, actually), but I'm really psyched that you've got all the various music and audio from different versions combined.

Not gonna lie: I would really love to see this refresh of the game design/UI combined with Nightfable's VGA-style art (the 3D-rendered, SVGA style does not appeal to me), even though I have a whole lot of respect for this approach as well. Perhaps some day...

Yep, not much to add.
I worked with her on the VGA remake, and her VGA-art is perfectly Sierra style.

Just take a look here:

Add her VGA-art to this awesome remake, and there would be Kings Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella Retold VGA ;)

DrSlash, I just finished the game the second time, this time with dead-ends..
Awesome work, even if I repeat myself. Programming that game must have been a difficult task.

Has anyone else problems in kissing the frog.
I picked him up, but I can't click on him. The cursor always says, I click on Rosella.

But anyway, great work, very impressive.
I'd love to see a QfG 5 in your style ;)

Congratulations to the release! Just downloading and I appreciate the PnC interface.
You should get in contact with Nightfable, she made some wonderful VGA backgrounds and animations for our (on hold) remake of KQ IV.

Wonderful game, very long, got stuck 2 or 3 times, the puzzles are fair and the museum, what a work...
Hoping for a sequel, and love the graphics.

Good game, just finished it, but the elevator puzzle is really hard...
And and ending with cliffhanger, now you have to make another chapter.

Dear mbnoland,

I finished the game without any bug. So for that, great work!
The game is really well done, as I wrote above.
The endgame is really nice and suprising.
The puzzles are not to hard, but sometimes to easy.
Some minor critics:
The english translation is really not the best, but it is understandable.
Pixel hunting.... you really have to click on anything on screen to not miss some items. I won't spoil but 2 or 3 items I only found via try and error.
Every fan of a FMV should play this!

Sadly, the game is rather short, but there might be a second part?

Pretty cool game, smooth green-screen animations of the characters, and it looks like live from the 90s.
Only the walk animation of the player is not so great and skipping the walking to a hotspot via ESC is not so great. I would prefer a double-click.

The game is really amazing.

But I am stuck..

Spoiler

How can I get into the club, I try knocking like the sequence coming from the door, but it won't open. Is that a bug

Congrats Dave,
just bought it on GoG, that game is the best Adventure, I played in years.
Party like in Mass Effect, decisions, different characters for multipe playthroughs.
Graphics are really great, Voice acting is nearly perfect, and to show the "look at" when the cursor is over the object is a great idea.
I can't stop playing and I don't miss that the player character doesn't have voice acting!
And there are..SPOILER... Many story twists....

So everyone BUY THAT GAME... NOW...

Looks great, the protagonist also looks like Mads Mikkelsen.
And didn't Tolga also do the wonderful John Sinclair adventure?
If you need a beta tester, I'd volunteer :)

I'd like these questions answered :D

Like, why was her game cancelled, and is there any chance, we see her game made?

Congrats on the release, Cassie, lets get the party started ;)
Can't wait to play the finished game.
