Oh Captain my Captain, this is probably too much to ask, but I was interviewed by the Russian magazine Game.EXE, and they sent me some scans of the issue. I don't suppose you could translate them for me?
Here they are:

Before I begin, I would like to state that I totally respect the people's votes. I would also like to congratulate all the nominees. This is NOT a post that questions the validity or the objectivity of the results. The people have spoken loud and clear.
I cannot help but feel utterly disappointed by the fact that Other Worlds only got nominated for best documentation. After all the positive reviews and feedback from the 4000+ people that have downloaded it in 4.5 months, my expectations were higher. Especially considering that if you look at the votes in the main page, OW's current score is higher than the games that got nominated for the 'Best Game' category expect Apprentice II. Just Adventure called it "one of the best, if not the best adventure game of 2004" and "3rd best Independent adventure game ever". I was really aiming for the Best Story & Puzzles category, but I guess my game is not worth as much as I believed.
I have played many of the nominated games and most of the nominations seem much deserved to me. I don't want anyone to think that I mean any disrespect to the other creators. I just felt that Other Worlds deserved a place among them. I suppose someone complains every year about the results, I'm sorry that this year it's me, I must sound like a spoiled brat to all of you.
Good luck to everyone.

I'm not sure I *want* this review translated, as it gave Other Worlds the lowest score than any reviews I've read so far, but if anyone cares to do it.. it's in Czech.

By the way, does anyone speak Russian?

This is really disturbing for me.. I was away in Buenos Aires on a business trip and I only saw that thread today! I really hope some people nominated Other Worlds. :(

Another Larry Vales fan here, the second one in particular was very funny.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Other Worlds was reviewed in a PC Master magazine (Greece) and got an 85%.
Since the mag is still out, I don't think I'm allowed to post the entire text. It was a two pages review, under "Positive" it listed:

-Classic old school adventure game
-Very good and in some cases exceptionally witty humor
-Use of spells
-Characters

and under "Negative":

-Graphics
-The ending
-Difficulty in finding the Exits

I nominate 'Other Worlds'.
What, it's not the time yet?
Uh.. don't mind me, as you were.  :-[

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll reply with a private message to avoid using all those {hide} thingies.

can't just give you a hint.  So here it is:

My God, it's full of stars.

That's what you have to write down when asked.

Rosie, I really appreciate you helping people play my game, but please consider giving subtle hints next time, or at least hiding the text from people who would like to try to solve the puzzle themselves, especially considering this particular puzzle is my favorite in the entire game! Here's the text I recommend for next time:

Spoiler
-You have an encrypted message, a key word (or number?) and three deciphering methods.
-If you try the first method with the number '7' as key number, the message doesn't make any sense.
-If you read the second method, you will find that you do not have enough info to solve the puzzle (you need a multiple digit code)
-The third method is the correct one. Write the message on a piece of paper as shown in the example, with the key word underneath, and try matching the letters by looking at the Vingenere table. Let me help you by saying that the first two letters are 'MY', so if you get these right you'll know you're on the right track.

Guys, I'm really sorry but I can't keep up with you. I need hours every day to reply to all e-mails and posts (from 9 different forums for crying out loud) and real life is starting to put some ugly pressure on me. So if when you post a hint request here you wait a couple of days and nobody can help you, e-mail me at alkis21@freemail.gr for a hint as e-mails are easier for me to reply to. I apologize for any inconvenience.

desimaui - Try using the Look icon first

Joyce - Don't worry, we're going to make it. I really want this savegame though, if it is a bug I need to take a look at it. Try these alternate e-mail addresses:
alkis21@freemail.gr
alkis21@alkis.org
Try zipping the file first, maybe your account does not send it as it is.
Although it sounds like your e-mail account is in trouble. Perhaps you should try creating a new free account in Hotmail or Yahoo?

I repeat, there are several people writing for JA, and they don't all share the same views. If some of their reviewers' preference for Myst offends you (as it offends me), what does the C+ Review of Monkey Island 2 tell you? I believe the author of that particular review should not be allowed to touch a computer for the rest of his life. I know however that the owner does not agree with any of this, but would we rather have someone who forces censorship into the reviews? Just Adventure is a democratic site, they keep adventure gamers informed, they keep a very neat and organized forum, and I like all that, even though I do not agree with some of their reviews. Now, if Other Worlds gets a second review with a 'D' mark, I may reconsider.. :)
Oh and Bombadil, that's the spirit!

Once again, thank you. Too bad the score is dropping, 90% at the moment with 22 votes. What puzzles me is the 78% in Immersion, which I thought was the game's strongest point. Oh well, if it deserves more it will eventually get more, I guess.

pfft, just adventure... don't get me started...

Just Adventure consists of very big number of people. You can't possibly hate *all* of them.

No Thananda that's not it.
Joyce, send me your savegame at alkis21@freemail.gr I'll have to take a closer look at it. You certainly do not have to download the game again, or start over, if you found a bug I'll simply send you a savegame you can use.

Hi,
I'm stuck on Mars. I know the Text I have to enter at Eon - but: how to manage this on a non-amarican keyboard???
Mine is German. Ok, "Y" is "Z"- and I'm looking for the sign between "it" and "s" in the word "it's". Got me? Where on earth is   '     :-\? Please help!

Now there's something I didn't think of. I wish I could help.. perhaps you can try pressing several keys on Notepad and see when ' comes up?

Spoiler
Are you sure you're casting the spell on the right marble? There is no "That would be pointless" line when you cast a spell on the Obe marble. You either get "Well, I hope it worked" if you get it right, or "I didn't need to do that, it was already programmed" if you try it twice, or "Spell produced no effect" if you type the wrong spell. Remember, the Obe marble is red & purple, the Fathel marble is red & orange.

I hope I'm not boring you, talking about my game all the time.. it's just that.. I'm so happy...  :'(

Check out this review!
http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/OtherWorlds/OW.shtm

"Other Worlds is probably one of the best, if not the best, adventures of 2004 â€" and that includes both Independent and commercial -"

"So, where are you international development teams? Don't let talents like this get lost just because they are not in the right place."

What more could I ask for?
That's it, I'm changing my will, Chris Jones gets everything.
