Service Pack 1. I doubt anyone would want to play the game in low res. Letterbox mode? Do you think that would help? The game is 640x400, 256 colors.

One thing I don't like is that my screen goes 'black' almost everytime I make a move and then it seems to freeze, then I have to wait at least 1 minute and the screen comes back.  This is FRUSTRATING .

You screen goes black everytime?  I can't say I've heard this one before. 1 minute? I can't believe you still haven't given up on it. There seems to be something wrong with the way the game cooperates with your PC.

Also if you open a door, then you have to use the 'walk' button.

Yeah that's the idea, first you open a door, then you walk out of a room.

And you have to 'look' all over before you can 'get something'.

I'm not sure I understand this one.

I was wondering: almost in every room I went through I found something to take.
What is to get in the dining room

Some rooms contain nothing useful to you.

How do you open the trap in bathroom
If we miss something in a room.....can we go back to get it

Come on people, it's good but it's not Monkey Island 2...   : You're making me blush.

Windows XP, all 4 (?) of them. According to them, they get a very brief black screen as the resolution changes and they get immediately thrown back to Windows.

A very low percentage of the people who download my game reported that it crashes as soon as they run it, with no message.
What I suggest to them is to:

-Change the sound settings from winsetup.exe
-Close other applications before launching the game
-Update their graphics & sound card drivers

Is there anything else I can suggest?

You won't be able to enter the house until Chapter 7. As for the gay guy.. have you watched the Police Academy movies? There was even a hint about them in Chapter 1.

Ok this is the best puzzle in the game so please try it before resorting to a walkthrough! It's cunningly designed so that it looks a lot harder than it actually is.

I always seem to be writing "thank you" posts these days. I was very anxious to hear what people who were complete strangers to me would think of my game. You see, all my beta testers were telling me it was great while I was making it, but they were all more or less my friends so I wasn't sure they weren't biased.

When you're in the corridor (where you can see the nurse's face), you can exit to either the SW or the SE. If you exit to the SE, the nurse will not be there (for a short while) when you return and you will be able to enter her office if you move fast. Sorry, I guess I forgot to mention that in the WT.

You need to use the RETRAF spell on the boat *before* the force field sucks you in, not when you're back to the shore. You have to be in the same screen with the force field for the spell to work.

Notice that "slippery" means that a *liquid* is under your feet, and you do have a puzzle that can help you get rid of liquids.. it's just not the right color.

There is an exit in the first room you enter in the mansion (the one that has the book) that you missed. Search on the left of the front door for an 'Exit' sign.

still stuck on level 4 dont know what 2 do with the spider or how 2 get coal can anyone help thanx

You won't be able to get past the spider in this chapter. As for the coal... you need to use a 'special' spell on something you are carrying.
