Thanx Ben.
Looks good (although it's a bit expensive), I think I'm gonna order that one.
Hope a review will be written to see/check if it is as good as they say.

From from https://www.createspace.com/3569993:

This nearly comprehensive book includes reviews for over 250 games from the golden age of the graphic adventure genre, running from 1984 to roughly 2000, focusing on promiminent publishers such as:

-LucasArts (Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Grim Fandango)

-Sierra On-Line (King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Gabriel Knight)

-Legend (Spellcasting, Eric the Unready, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon)

-And several other popular and not-so-popular series and games (Zork, Myst, Broken Sword, The Longest Journey, Simon the Sorcerer, The Last
Express, and dozens of others)

-Also includes interviews with several adventure game developers, including Al Lowe (creator of Leisure Suit Larry), Corey Cole (creator of Quest for Glory), Bob Bates (founder of Legend Entertainment) and Josh Mandel (writer and designer for Sierra).

Just bought these two books (the second one is almost delivered, yeeh!):

Covers:

I was wondering if there is a good book about 'the history of Adventure Games'.
Does anyone know (a recommendable) good book about (the history of) adventure games only?

I tried to download the demo from the AGS Games page, but the link takes me to a website where I only have an option to buy the game. It looks interesting, but since your recent games are commercial and I didn't really like .J.Gun and Sepheret island, I'm a bit wary of buying it as is.
There's no demo, just only the full version.

The 1st download link goes straight to the order page.
The 2nd download link goes to the official trailer on youtube.

Watch the trailer to find out that Odissea (and Quantumnauts too) are both really different compared to "J.J.Gun and Sepheret island".
Probably the only comparison between all MD games is that they are adventure games.  :)

And like LimpingFish said:

The "Commercial Game" classification in the database is a bit wonky in general.

Congratz on releasing this awesome game!
And kudos to Paolo: you did an awesome job on the English translation!

Based on a great story but this time converted to a somewhat hilarious version.
Graphically it contains really beautifully backgrounds and nicely highly detailed characters and very nice animations.
All covered in very moody background music.

This was a game that really got me dragged into it.
Definitely a game you MUST have played!

Beautiful screenshot gameboy, hope to play this this summer somewhere this year  ;)

I got a tween-module error after I tried

Spoiler
some schema serial numbers in a certain sequence.

The sequence I used was: the upper right serial number, then the lower
right one, then the lower left one, then the upper right one. I must have
done the proper schema wrong (I think I switch the blue and the black
one) so I tried the upper left one again and then the game crashed showing
the tween-module error message.

Nice MAGS entry though Hedgefield!

maybe I can do some sort of DVD cover and make it available on my website if you want to burn your own CD and have a DVD box.
Yes please.

4.0b7 and up should solve it.
I'm using 4.0.1 and having no such issues.

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, and it seems a little far fetched, but this game has been on my mind for years and I don't know what it is.

It's an RPG, first person, it might have been raycast (I remember sprites walking around Wolfenstein fashion), and you could throw herbs at people if you equipped them in your weapon slot. There were guards walking around also, but if you hit them and they collided with you, you went to a new screen which said "You spend the night in a cold, dark prison cell."

I for the life of me cannot remember what this game was, and it's driving me crazy. I never personally played it, I just watched my cousin play - he quickly traded it in for Day of the Tentacle, I believe. It's not any of the Elder Scrolls games, not Realms of Arkania, not Amulets and Armor, and not Eye of the Beholder. I just can't figure out what it was.

Arx Fatalis?

Does anyone know where to buy this awesome animated series?
It was on TV (Nickelodeon) about 6 years ago here in Holland but
never been able to find a place [store or online] where they sell it...

Great artwork, impressive!

Concurrence:
I only had serious problems with the 2nd door, the timing is too tight.
Still, the platform edges could use an improvement.

Since everything has been summed up already now I can only say this:

Huge THANX for the great entries guys!

This mags had an exciting tense already due to the deadline 'issues'.
So even when there was no game released yet, the theme (TIME) did really fit this mags  :D
