AGS Archives / Re: AGS Archives

Peder, when it's in a beta phase, and you gonna let it be checked like Darth did with his mindwinder project I'd like to be of any help to test it and give comments to make it even more 'perfect'. Glad this project is going to be for real, we've been waiting for such an AGS Archive place, great job!

General Discussion / Bugtracking software

Does anyone know a freeware bugtracking software package like JIRA, suitable for about at least 35 clients/users?

Doesn't the answer depend on the temperature of the bottles and the gas?

Yah, I killed Mario. ...Oh wait, that wasn't the goal...
Why are the castlevania backgrounds gone? liked them very much.
Anyway, this goes better each "release"!

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has been released at 1984 by Infocom.
In 1986 Infocom became Activision.
If there was only a Patent then it was lost in 2004.

Nothing to find about the copyrights, maybe contact Activision?

Does anyone else experience slowdown? It's not unbearable, but something I have noticed.

Yeah, me too.
Yup

I have the same items as you mentioned.
still, when talking to the doctor, he says something like "ah, someone to help me with the experiment".
Can't get the rodent/cat,
Can't use the cheese,
Can't use the rope.

So maybe it's indeed an unfinishable game... ::) ???

Cannabis increases negative effects of tobacco...
And it increases even more when also drinking alcohol...

When I smoke weed I drink and smoke less, so the damage isn't at all higher.

I agree, weed is 10x more satisfying to a smoker.

Still the combination of a smoking tobacco+weed and drinking seems to be the danger, it doesn't matter how much you smoke/drink...

The drug isn't the problem, the people are. It depends on how they deal with drugs, not if they do drugs or not. And I think every adult can decide for himself what drugs he wants to consume and how much.
True as long as it isn't hard drugs. Almost no one can resist that and just use it for only once in a few months or something.

As long as cannabis remains illegal it restricts the rate of consumption, which in turn lessens the overall damage it can cause to a society. Once you remove the restriction there's a potential risk, and you'll have a hard time putting the genie back in the bottle if things don't go as planned.
The rate of consumption will not go up by legalizing it. People who are buying it, will keep buying it.
And their consumption will still be the same. So I think it rather will keep stable.

Legalizing soft drugs give us at least one positive thing:
getting rid of those street dealers who drive those big fancy cars.

Oh, and when people should need it for medical use but they don't get a approval from a doctor,
they then can just buy it normally. Always better then those stupid pills.
I do know a person like this who is suffering from a neuromusculaire disorder and I made a joint per day [with a very limited amount of pot] for that person so she didn't had to take those slackening pills. And it did work way better.
With those pills she felled asleep in her chair within 5 minutes and also peed in that chair... Not with a small joint.

Stupid me, I should have know that. :-X
Thanx Skuttleman :)

I removed this rep_exec function from the room script because the game was running abnormally slow
(which didn't solve the slow running problem anyway but whatever):

function room_RepExec()
{
}
function repeatedly_execute_always()

{
 if (!cBird.Moving)
 {
   if (cBird.x == 190)
   {
     cBird.Walk(400,  163, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
   }
   else
   {
     cBird.Walk(190,  163, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
   }
 }
 if (!cKeen.Moving)
 {
  if (cKeen.x == 190)
  {
    cKeen.Walk(400,  190, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
  }
  else
  {
    cKeen.Walk(190,  190, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
  }
 }
}

Then I tried to run the game but this error occurs:

Error: prepare-script: error -18 (no such funtion in script) trying to run 'room_RepExec' (Room 1)

Can't figure out why this happens... ???
Anyone?

I just used the dialog editor it automatically gives each character a different text color.
When you use Sierra Transparant in the general options for dialog speech style, it will also show the sprite of the talking character.
I just use the regular Lucasart speech style which also give each character a different speech color.
As for I know you can't use different speech colors in one dialog box but you can of course create or import a different font...

He he, you have indeed a cool-pseudobibleic-quazisteampunk-comedy-brain in your mags CW, but I did manage to find that one ;)
And neither am I looking for "AGS 3.2 RC 1 - Hitler's Brain Edition"... :P

But seriously, I can't figure out where to find the brain in the ancient MAGS game called "Pixely Pete"... :'(
