Playback works under 320x200 and 320x240 (16-bit and 32-bit), but it doesn't work already when the resolution is 640x400 or above (it doesn't matter either whether the D3D9 or DX5 driver is used), even after telling the engine to stretch the clip to the whole screen.
I thought it will play using D3D9 but not using DX5  ???

Strange thing is, how got that snake in my bathroom while having two apartments beneath me.
It must have swum up through the toilet drain and crawled out of it ending up in my bathroom.
Imagine sitting on the toilet while the snake pops up... It could just bite your...

Remember,

QuoteRed touches yellow, kill a fellow. Red touches black, venom lack.
I just saw the part about it having a rattle on its tail. That's neither a Kingsnake or a coral snake.
It was indeed "red touches black, venom lack" when looking at the picture below.
It was a Red Rat Snake aka Corn Snake, looks dangerous when not being familiar with snakes like me:

About the rattle sound:
When a rat snake get irritated it shows its tail rapidly back and forth shaking of the ground where the snake something else at that time against it because the vibration of the light creates a tail that looks Like the sound of a rattlesnake rattle

Snake has been a busy guy lately. First in the AGS servers and now in your bathroom. Where will he be next?
:)
He will probably be starring in a game called Snake Quest or something ;)

Punch it.
Trust me  ;)
Punch it BEFORE it bites you, then you must be really quick...!
Plus, I hate to kill animals except for mosquitos-> kill 'm all!

Lately a friend of me went to my bathroom for a pee but came back within a few seconds complete out of his mind.
He tried to tell me that he found a snake in there.
I didn't believe him, thought he'd  had to much beer.
So I went to the bathroom and to my surprise there was a snake (it wasn't snake from the ags forum) coiled on the floor in the corner.
It looks pretty dangerous because of the colors, black red and yellow. Al I now about snakes is a basic rule: do they have sharp colors like red and yellow then they might be poisonous, so caution was advised...

I got to get rid of that snake if I ever wanted to be able to sleep in my own house.
He (that friend) was scared like hell of that snake so he definitely wasn't going to do something about it.
So I tried to catch the snake. It first crawl quickly away but ended up in my bedroom. Darn.
After that it had became pretty angry and start using his little rattle on his tale.
He clearly didn't like to be hunt down...
It crawled into a pile of clothing that was lying there ready to get washed.
At that point I decided to not go further because it could 'jump' out of the pile and bite me.
So I decided to go sleep in the living room and I blocked the small passage under the bedroom door to keep the snake in that room because they have the nasty habit to seek for body heat and go sleep against your body.

Next morning I went back to the room, keep the small passage under the bedroom door blocked while being in the room so the snake couldn't escape into another room. I found the snake, still in the pile of clothes and with a stick removing cloth by cloth there was nothing left then 'run' again for the snake.
Then I managed to catch it behind his head while distracting him with my other hand.
I put him in a box, closed and locked it and went to a reptile/snake shop and gave him away for free. The guy there could tell me it wasn't a poisonous one but this snake was an impostor/imitator, having the looks of a poisonous snake so they will not be attacked easily by other animals.
So, what would you have done, call an expert or something to remove the snake and miss the thrill or try catching it by yourself? At least I did not miss the action and excitement...
Quite an adventure.  8)

So, what would you have done?

If there is one animal I hate it is definitely the (female) mosquito.
Is there any usefulness of there existence beside being food for fish?

I'm going to extend the deadline by a couple of days to allow for the forum down time.
What is the new deadline actually, the 28th, or was that the old deadline? ???

Welcome Angelle1.

I guess you should:
Spoiler
give the stick to Kiri and take her to the cobwebs.
Then ask the stick back and remove the cobweb by using the cloth on it or by using the stick on yourself.

Thanx Crimson & Ethan!

Crimson:
It didn't work, had to change the second line into this:
if (cBird.x == 190)

Than it still didn't work because of what Ethan said: The bird had to fly into an non-walkable area, so I had to make the whole area walkable in order to let the bird be able to fly.

But now the main character can also walk that way, and that's not what I want to.
I guess I have to let the editor know to use "anywhere" in stea of walkable are or something, but don't know how yet...

EDIT:
allrighty, found it, I should use:

cBird.Walk(400,  163, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
cBird.Walk(190,  163, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);

I want a NPC (a bird) go from the start position in the room to coordinate B and go back to coordinate A
33,163 is coordinate A, 190,163 is coordinate B
the bird should do this constantly
Somehow the character isn't moving at all.
What am I doing wrong?

Code:

function room_RepExec()
{
cBird.Walk(300,  163, eNoBlock);
cBird.Walk(190,  163, eNoBlock);
}

I enjoyed all the games and frankly couldn't believe how high the standard was considering the time frame they were made in. All were good and had something unusual (in a good way ;D) about them marking them stand out in their own way.
Fully agreed.

Thanx Tier :)
The upper body part is better now [shoulder & arm] and the foot is also better this way.
I'm not sure but I feel something is still not yet right with the legs.

This is my very first attempt to draw a person, to draw anything actually.

Original size [45x100]:

400x [180x400]
I just resized it 400% so it's a bit blurry, don't know how to do it the right way...

Comments and ideas please...
I think his left leg and feet are somehow wrong and his right hand is a bit to big...
