I am working on a platform game as well....(i think i inspired geoffkhan to make this when he was beta testing mine.)

Mines on hold for moment due to MIA my main project...

But if you would like to see screenshots its in games under production as james bond.

Geoffkhan has made a very good engine and i m sure others will play around with it.......(You do need some scripting knowledge to make games that are`nt adventures though.)

Good work G....

I`ll probaly use some of your ideas myself.

Are you the one that created that James Bond platform game?
If so, the link is broken, can you fix it...
#3246
Thanx for making this game!
Hope there will be a successor sometime  :D

ShayAvr,

Bug #3:

Downloaded the game at 29-oct-2008. Found one little bug:
Spoiler
after correcting the calender settings, i opened the door so a cave entrance is visible. But Nathaniel  can walk sort of behind the cave entrance while still in the room The cave entrance is then in front of him in stead of behind him...

Hello all,

In my teens, I was absolutely addicted to adventure games. I played through many of the classics - the first two Gabriel Knights, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, first 3 Monkey Islands, first two Broken Swords.. etc. Unforunately, as time grew on, my interest in music and film claimed more and more of my time until I stopped gaming entirely.
Last week I was in a traffic accident, fracturing my hand in many places and leaving me with an assortment of cuts and bruises. Since I will be recovering from my surgery for the next five weeks and have grown tired of staring at a TV screen, I racked my brain for something a bit more mentally engaging. The lightbulb went off. Adventure games! After a bit of poking around on the net, I found many freeware games citing AGS as the engine. That led me to the AGS site, then these forums.
So, now for the question: what are some quality AGS titles that'll ease me back into the swing of adventure gaming? My sleuthing skills have probably atrophied considerably in my downtime, so a nice, gentle starter would be great. I've always valued a great dialogue and sensible puzzles over impressive graphics and elaborate inventory-combining guesswork, if that helps with recommendations any.
Thanks in advance, and excuse any confusing passages or typos - I'm typing with one hand and a head full of percoset.  :)

Hai, try "A Pirates Tale" (a Monkey Island 1 style game) and the King's Quest 1, 2 & 3 remakes and Quest for Glory 4 1/2. And try the Ben Jordan serie. These gems will bring you back to the old dayz!!!

Hey Speelteveel, Quest for Glory 4 1/2 has no combat or fighting parts. It's just a great parody games of the well known original.

Edit: Played "Damsel in Distress" long ago, was just a pun!

Yeh, 'damsel in destress' could be used as a paronomasia or to point to the game damsel itself.
I choose the second one, the wrong one  :-\

Really like this game, but it is almost finished now... Any other games to recommend?
Finished BJ7 before this one, great game too. Still have to start with QfG2VGA but that one will be a real hard one to solve and will take to much time. Btw, have you played GfQ4 1/2? nice parody.

But you are stuck to or have you finished this tale and start playing Damsel now?
