Here's my first - done with the help of my brother-in-law (he's the printer whiz, I'm the designer):

Nice!
Oh man, you should do a print of a model of Gray! ;)
(I guess that Gray-doll idea never saw the daylight?)

Gonna check this one out. Nice to see you back, Mr. Colin Simpson ;) ;-D

Congratz on the release!

I had the pleasure testing this demo, and I can say it's well done fangame (demo), both graphic- and story-wise!
There's also a lot of funny interaction comments which enriches the game.

Looking forward to the next chapter and, eventually the complete game.

Note:
For those who get stuck on the 'Elevator Code' puzzle (which is kinda tough):
Make sure you do read the in the zip file included Hintbook, "chapter 7 â€" Wow to ride the elevator â€" part II" ;)

I suppose it has no tie to the Wells story?
It is based on H.G. Well's novel.
Not sure how much though.

Do you have a link to download monty python makeout mansion?

Here you go: Monty Pyton's Makeout Mansion.zip
#387
Yep, all works fine now (nod)
#388
It does work now, but there's two things:

* You've renamed the game name after compiling? When running Winsetup.exe it looks for 'Glasto3.exe'...
Just open AGS, go to the General Panel, section 'basic properties' and change the game name there. Then recompile the game.

* the in the archive included folder 'Data' is unneeded:
1. (Re)compile the game and exit AGS
2. Rename the folder 'Windows' (in the 'Compiled' folder) to a desired name, like your game name (for example: Glastonbury)
3. Zip and upload the folder Glastonbury
4. Done

Grabbed it from ich.io instead.

Checked and yes, the windows download is broken indeed.

Added both mirror download links.

One strange thing:
After adding a mirror DL link for both the Windows and Linux versions, the download popup shows the original Windows dl link twice.
The Windows mirror dl link and the original and mirror dl link for Linux are all three shown correctly.

EDIT:
After adding the mirror dl links, the original dl link for the windows version was working again.
Removed the mirror dl link and the original dl link was still working.

...suspecting the 'broken link' was just a temporary hick-up  ???

Checked agsconfig 0.1.0. for Windows. Nice work.

One strange thing: Driver only shows Software as option... (I'm running Windows64 bit)

Also some small things I noticed:

  • All dropdown box values are some kind of short name instead of the same full naming used via Winsetup.
  • missing the Native game resolution label: "Native game resolution: 320 x 240 x 32" for example
  • Driver only shows Software as option.
Winsetup shows these options for Driver: Direct3D 9; OpenGL; Software renderer
  • Fullscreen scale also contains the values 1; 2; 3.
Winsetup shows these options for Fullscreen scale: Max round multiplier; Fill whole screen; Stretch, preserving aspect ratio
  • Windowed scale also has different number value options (1, 2, 3).
Winsetup shows these options for Windowed scale: None (original game size); Max round multiplier; Fill whole screen; preserving aspect ratio; 2x; 3x; 4x; 5x (selectbox)
  • Assuming the option "Filter" is the same as "scaling method" in Winsetup, "Filter options are different or has simply different names:
    AGSConfig: Filter: none; stdscale
Winsetup: Scaling method: Nearest-neighbour; Linear interpolation
  • Missing: The Game language part is missing.
  • Missing: "Use 85 Hz display (CRT Monitors only)" option.
(belongs to the group tickboxes: vertical sync; Render sprites...;Match Device Ratio)
  • If no speech pack present, do disable the "Use speech pack" tickbox.
  • Missing tickbox "Auto lock to window" in Mouse section.
  • When starting up agsconfig, have all panes initially collapsed, or all but Graphics options expanded.
  • And as said already: please group the more obscure settings and hide them initially. (as done via Winsetup, see below:)

I used to get all those emails, so now I'm shifting the responsibility to the game owners!

Yes, that I can see that would otherwise create a lot of overhead. I checked and all seem to be OK.
Thanx for the info guys, case closed  :)

I received this email today:

An anonymous user from 77.111.246.117 reported Windows download for Black Sect 2: The Cursed Crypt (PnC Remake) as broken.

So I checked but the download works fine and the downloaded zip archive tested OK too.

So no clue why this was send. A hickup maybe? Just thought I report it here.

I think that maybe Bertolino is stuck at the very beginning. A general tip for this game (the original version is the same): when you find something or open a secret compartment or open a chest, look inside and take whatever, look inside again because you might find another item or a clue. Keep looking until the game tells you "It is empty" or there is nothing to see.
For Bertolino:
Spoiler
Go towhere you picked up the flask and look there - you will find a coin. You can now proceed.

You're absolutely right about that, Wiggy  ;)

Yes, you're on the right track.

1. First you must have read the instructions first, I think you've done this step already though:
Spoiler

you need to have read the book from the library first.
the info in the book tells you the location where to 'design the emblem'.
[close]

2. Secondly you need to find... (you've done this for certain already):
Spoiler

an example of that emblem, which is indeed that piece of fabric with the pentagon symbol
[close]

3. And the 3rd thing you need is...:
Spoiler

something to carve the emblem with...
[close]
small hint:
Spoiler

which might be found somewhere in the first episode...
[close]
medium hint:
Spoiler

somewhere in the second half of the episode...
[close]
big hint:
Spoiler

maybe you should check the dungeon/prison area a bit closer...
[close]

4. So finally:
Spoiler

while you have the piece of fabric plus the stone, go to the location as said in the book and use the rock on the floor to draw the emblem on the floor.
this triggers something, which is up to you again to find out  ;)

Oh, and if you don't want to convert to ogg, which I still highly recommend, AGS supports playing from some tracker formats directly (at least I see Impulse Tracker here).

Oh boy, Impulse Tracker!

I used Impulse Tracker (as successor of the great Scream Tracker) for a loooooong time and loved it.
Then I switched to SchismTracker, a free and open-source reimplementation of Impulse Tracker.
A big plus (if you're used to Impulse Tracker or Scream Tracker) is that SchismTracker works and looks almost exactly like Impulse Tracker.
It's available for Windows 32-bit, Linux 64-bit & macOS 64-bit. Highly recommended for Tracker Music freaks   ;)  :-D

SchismTracker can export songs to WAV, MWAV, AIFF & MAIFF format.
