I installed BASS Midi driver and Arachno sf. In my MIDI tool I can now select it and listen to the MIDI. The sound of one of the rather obscure instruments used sounds terrible now, but ok, at least I can run it.

However, I cannot get MIDI to run for AGS games. I don't get the error message anymore, but I also don't have audio (mp3 sfx work fine).
VLC and Windows Media Player also cannot run it.
The weirdest thing so far is: Suddenly Irfan View can play it, but it sounds like the original Windows Midi, not the Arachno. Did Irfan View find the windows synth? I'm about to give up and reinstall windows...

OK, I noticed my midi wasn't working either anymore...
Somehow I couldn't get BASS Midi driver to work again correctly, so uninstalled that and went for VirtualMIDISynth.
So, after loading the soundfont (Arachno) in the VirtualMIDISynth's tab Soundfonts, MIDI was working again.
Also: MIDI runs fine again for AGS games.

Here's one I use: the Arachno SoundFont (free download: www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php)

Which software synth are you using?

BassMIDI driver.

Out of my head:
1. Extract the file 'Arachno SoundFont - Version 1.0.sf2'
2. Open 'Configure BassMIDI driver'
3. Load the sf2 file in BassMIDI driver's 'SoundFonts (Port A)' tab and click apply.
3. In the BassMidi Advanced tab:
Vol: around 8000
Default MIDI Synth: SoundFonts (Port A)
Click apply

Done.

Thanks NicolaGs. I was hoping to get the Windows Synth to work, but I guess I'll try your solution.

Here's one I use: the Arachno SoundFont (free download: www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php)

Why I use this one:
(Quoting from arachnosoft website:) Arachno SoundFont has been primarily built to enhance the MIDI music of these old video games you played and loved.

My 2 sents:

I disagree, Slasher.
I think it's fine here, as long as such video's are called a 'let's play' or 'long play', everyone know it does contain solutions.
IMO one can simply chose by themselves to watch it right away or play the game first. So I don't see a direct spoiling situation here.

And oh, selmiak, thanx for the vid(s).

@Nishuthan:
You're using the credits module v1.17 or older (which does contain the - as Crimson Wizard said - obsolete StrCopy).
Download v1.19 here, which works fine.

With v1.19 you might bump into an Undefined token 'PlaySound' error though.
I just quote the solution to this, as stated by Crimson Wizard earlier in this thread:
"this is because PlaySound is a deprecated function. To enable it you need to turn "Enforce new Audio scripting" off in the Backwards-compatibility settings of your project."

How generous of you, sir!

If still available i'd love to have:
* Runaway, The Dream of The Turtle
* Runaway: A Twist of Fate

I noticed you've also Ziggurat listed, I really recommend that one!

First of all:

Happy Birthday MAGSAN!!

And a BIG thanx to all the people involved in releasing this great e-mag each month:

Baron: (blue Lobe Inc. comic)
Always gives me a smile when reading Blue Lobe Inc.

Stupot: ("A-Z Unrated" games)
Very nice way to stumble upon good (but often lesser know) ags games (or even canceled projects that did release a demo)

Dave (Seaman): (Golden Oldies)
A great way to find some Golden Oldie Gems!
Or, as in my case, to just refresh your memory on older ags gems.

Bicilotti: The Game blurbs (Games announced this month + Games released this month)
Perfect way to quickly keep you up-to-date about (upcoming) releases.
I especially like the format of the "just-3-lines blurbs"

Peder: (Founder, Management, and probably also writing)
Thank you so much for keeping MAGSAN up 'n running!

(I hope I covered all the people working on this magazine...)

May this MAGSAN continue to drop in my e-mail box for a looooooong time!! :)

Why?... What use are they there for, except taking up space.???
Hey RetroJay :)

IIRC its caching, created while buffering the video.
I use ccleaner to get rid of stuff like that once in a while.

How's the project going?

I bet at least some o y'all have been around long enough to remember "The Journey Down", no? :D
Ow man, still have fond memories of testing the low-res edition of the first chapter!
Which must have been around 2009, wow, time flies...

Congratz on releasing the 3rth chapter tomorrow, Team SkyGoblin!
Have a nice release party ;)

Any plans on a new project?
