edit: I also added the link to the mirror at digg  :=

It's nice to see that the demo has finally been released. You know in the last few months or so, I've been checking the site regularly to see if there was any progress. Unfortunatly I've got a uni assignment I need to be doing so I can't play this for a few days.

Anyways, keep up the awesome work.

I've had a few games of pen and paper D&D recently. I don't know... I just didn't get into it. It just feels to be very nerdy, even though it is fun. I'd still be playing occasionally, but I work on the night that my friends play.

I had a listen to The Metrolites lgm, and they sounded really cool. I'm considering buying their album now.

Hey, I'm really sorry I havn't posted what I thought of the book. I've been busy and things slip my mind and I'm lazy.

I thought it was really good and I do recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading and well especially to everyone here as it is about something we all know alot about. I think that the ending was great. I don't think that you could have done that in a better way, and I really enjoyed the epilogue thing. It was a really nice touch that I wasn't expecting. I also had a look at the bonus things on the web the other day and had a good chuckle at a few of the bloopers and your comments on them. Good stuff :P

I'll post a review up on Amazon in the coming weeks when I become unlazy.

Hehe well I have had a bit of a listen to some of the Fish stuff. I did listen to Misplaced Childhood, but wasn't overly impressed. I'll have to listen to it again, because I'll probably get into it then, but I still maintain that Marbles is a great album.

Marillion

They have been around for 20 years now, but I've only just heard of them, and they have quickly become one of my favourite bands. They had a (cheesy 80's love song) hit called Kayleigh in the late 80's, but a few years later after a change of singer they moved out of the public spotlight. In the last 10 years or so, they pioneered a concept of letting fans preorder the new album before it was recorded to raise the needed money to record the album.

They play progressive kind of music, that has changed a bit over the years. I havn't heard all their stuff (they have about 14 studio albums), but the first album I heard (and the latest one), Marbles, is simply amazing. every song on it is great, and I find it hard to name any weaknesses to the album. It's got variety from a couple of more poppy sounding songs to an 18 minute masterpiece. In fact 3 of the songs on the (double version of the) album clock in at over 10 minutes. Do what I did and download the album to give it a go... I ended up buying $200 of their music/dvd's after hearing the album and being so impressed by it.

http://www.juncmodule.net/main.php?page=downloads ? That has some AGS and sprites stuff there that you may be after.

Wasn't a bad prank this year. I got fooled a few years back when CJ announced that he was stopping making AGS [edit: or was that the shareware thing instead? I forget] . After that I've always been wary of the internet on April the 1st... It is indeed a scary place.

I am quite welcome to this merger. It seems development has been heading in that way already, so it's a good idea to speed up that process. Can't wait to try the new version :=

The book just arrived... didn't take too long at all. 6 days to Australia (4 working days). It arrived in great condition except for the top and bottom of the spine which are a little worn, but thats ok. It's a bit of a surprise how thick it is, I can't believe I read so much on a computer screen. It will be nice to be able to read it properly now.

I shall post my impressions on the rest of the book when I get to reading it. Uni is really taking alot of my time atm.

ps. I love the bookmark.

Sometimes I had the same troubles with MPC. Make sure you have the latest version of Real Alternative, as Real may have changed some stuff.

I've ordered it :) It has been a good read so far, and it will be nice to be able to read it as a hard copy. Good luck with the selling.

I remember a few months ago ezboards got hacked and lost alot of data. They had some backups, but were not able to retrieve everything for all forums. I'm not sure if this is what affected the old boards, but it might be.

You can use the hide tags... eg:
[ hide]I would be hidden if that space wasn't there before the hide bit.[/ hide]

It really should be on this page but it doesn't seem to be there.

I was under the impression that ICQ was dead quite a few years back. Obviously I was wrong, but I don't know anyone who still uses it.

All my friends use MSN, although as you say it is getting worse. I'm not ready to jump ship quite yet, but I used Google Talk the other day to talk to a friend and I really liked its clean interface and usability dispite its lack of pretty much any feature stanard on most clients. I hope it gets developed alot more so it is worthwhile using (and compatable with MSN). I've thought about Trillian/Gaim/Jabber, but I kinda like alot of the features in MSN.

It's called a Google Bomb. That page will explain all.

I like your taste in music Damien. Dream Theater and Jeff Buckley are my favourite artists. I also like Muse alot.

For albums released this year my top 5 in order are:
Dream Theater - Octavarium
For the (24 minute long!) title track alone makes this a great CD, but the rest of the album realy showcases the talents and influences of the band with them using many different styles. These styles range from U2 sounding stuff to Muse, and then more metal kinda stuff, as well as progressive.
Emmett Tinley - Attic Faith
A little known irish artist that I really like released his long awaited solo album finally this year and it is really quite good. He has a voice a bit like Jeff Buckley's but sings more acoustic songs.
Coldplay - X&Y
A good album, but not as great as I was hoping. Has some really stand out tracks such as 'Fix You', 'Til Kingdom Come' and 'Twisted Logic' (as well as a b side 'How You See The World' which is great).
Wolfmother - Wolfmother
I've only heard about 5 of the songs on the radio, but they are a great new band.
Audioslave - Out of Exile
Not as good as their first album, but still has some good songs such as 'Doesn't Remind Me', 'Dandelion' and 'Your Time Has Come'
