Thanks everyone. I'll be sure to check out your suggestions. I really like the music in Grim Ffandango. Its like alot of swing stuff, which is cool. I downloaded the soundtrack to it a while ago, and it's cool.

One thing that I would like to see on these forums that I have seen on others, is having it so if you edit your post in say 5 mins after posting, to like fix a spelling mistake, it doesn't show the edited thing. I think it works well, and does make the posts seem nicer. I don't know how possible that is to implement tho, or if other people think its worthwhile.

General Discussion / Any Jazz music fans here?
Sun 15/08/2004 15:43:46
Well I'm lthinking of getting into some Jazz music. I've always liked the style, but I guess I've not really gotten any of the music. I know there are different styles of the music, and I can't really remember what but I know some types I like better than others.

But hte thing is, I don't know where to start. Is there people here that could reccomend some good Jazz musicians? I'm also thinking of learning the Saxophone. I like the instrument, and yeah I fugure if I do learn that, I would get into some jazz.

So yeah, suggestions anyone?

Um I don't think it is a good idea to delete threads that hace been locked due to cancellation. Sure some games, like really small ones, that you don't expect to make an impact on the community should probably be deleted if they get cancelled. A game like By The Sword has a big thread, and it probably wouldn't be good to just delete it. Thats jus my opinion. The problem with that is how do you decide what to lock, and what to delete. Personally, I vote that you lock the threads, as we do currently, but don't delete them.

Maybe, except there were different colours for each of the numbers, so that means that the number 4 could be red, yellow, blue or green. Thats an interesting idea tho. We used to play that game all the time.

Interesting idea for a competition. It could work. Maybe if you define some boundries on what it should look like.
Um since i'm the next person and I don't have a GUI to show, I think I'll pass it on to the next...

Now I wish I had time to play this. I'm in the middle of backing up all my data and doing a complete windows reinstall, so unfortunately I can't play it at the moment. I did have a look at it and it is awesome looking, and the dialogue is cool.
#473
Now that would be awesome.

Yeah I've been waiting for a full report of Mittens 2004. I know there was one for last years one and it was an enjoyable read. Maybe I missed a link somewhere.

Yeah I'm fine with the size of the avatars. Any biger and they don't look so neat and tidy, and they just take up more space.

Hmm I havn't made any games, and I've been her for like 3 years. I think I'm here cos I like adventure games and one day want to make one when I have time and inspiration, and another big reason is the community. This is a really cool place to be on the net, tho i do 'waste' many an hour here.

Don't leave for good. Come back and check on us, and maybe you will stay again :)

Welcome back. It's good to hear you had fun. It's strange being away for a little while. It sorta puts you out of tue know when it comes to things on the forums. You might have been here for the release of 5 Days a Skeptic, good game. Oh and Apprentice 2 has been released.

Oh and that demo game idea sounds really cool, and would be helpful.

I agree with Privateer Puddin'. Instead of disregarding suggestions that don't get enough votes, it would probably be better if they went on separate to do lists, so they might be dealt with some other time.
