General Discussion / Re: What a buzz kill...

The situation reminds me of the movie 'A Walk To Remember'. I think its a really good movie. Just hope that she doesnt have leukemia tho.
My advice: Get to know the girl better, even go to church with her. She would appreciate that, and even if you don't go again, thats your choice. But yeah talk to her about things, it would definately help with the situation that your in.

Yeah its the christmas carol 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman'

Well I've had a chance to play it. Most of it sounds right.
In the intro it should be something like this: D C D Cx C  Em  (x4) Where Cx is a C with the pinky on the 3rd fret. I think its still called a C, but you should differentiate from the normal C.

In the chorus and in the verse When it goes D D C, It seems a bit wrong, especially with the C. I found it sounded a bit better by blaying a D and alternating between open-2nd and 3rd fret, on the e string. It didnt sound exact but I think it worked better than the C bit.

I'm not the best person at working out chords for songs, so yeah its hard to find the right chords, but yours are pretty good.

HillBilly: I found it on DC++, but I'm sure you can find it somewhere on kazza, tho when I tried it I couldnt find it.

HillBilly: You might need a plugin to use wma files with nero. I don't know, I've never tried. Personally I hate the format. Its just that I had to find a plugin when I wanted to burn some ogg files.

Yeah i pointed that out in one of the other pointless threads you've made. Bring it back... I thought it was cool.

oh but put it in your avatar, so it doesnt make the posts all huge. :)

Well I was only in the 80's for 4 years so I don't really remember much that happened.
Yeah i noticed that with the AxxA thing when checking them out. That is pretty cool.

Heh, you went to melbourne just to but a magazine. Well it sounds weird to me, but you probably live near there.
#589
I downloaded the song. I'll see if I can play it tomorrow, cos It's getting a bit late now. I've never heard of asia before, I think I might download some of their albums. They sound pretty cool.

I don't know the song, but I can tell you that it's all layed out nicely. I would play it and check it with the music if i had time, but alas, I don't...

Damien: I'd be careful linking to abandonware on these forums. I think it's in the rules.

Oh and to get Loom, you could try and buy it. It would probably be hard to find a cheap copy of it. The other alternative is abandonware, and yeah, it shouldnt be too hard to find. Remember Google is your friend...

edit:
Quote6. Please do not discuss warez here. Abandonware discussion is okay because abandonware is unsupported. If you want warez, go find it yourself. Or better yet, buy the bloody game.
Well I would say Loom is abandonware so yeah...

Hey, it has been a while since I'd seen you around here. I guess people come and go, and it's good to see you come back.
Well recently the forums have had an upgrade as you have noticed. Its quite nice, and the Quick Reply box thingy is awesome. The AGS site has also been upgraded thanks to a competition that Darth Mandarb won. Its looking sweet.

Well metal hey. Well I sorta got into metal a while ago, but I found that it wasn't really helping me feel that positive, so I've been more into accoustic, mellow now. Its cool to hear that you've got a boyfriend. I got me a girlfriend a few months ago if anyone cares.

Yeah we have still been getting the regular updates of AGS thanks to CJ, which is cool.

Oh, and you missed a funny, but cruel april fools joke...
Yeah just check out the forums and stuff, theres probably a few new faces around, and yeah, welcome back... I don't know if you remember me but hey...

The story is very interesting minimi. I like it alot, you can do alot with it, and let the player think about some issues.
I've been wanting to make a game, and as you are doing, put a christian message in it, like not full on, but just a theme running through it. I havn't really had time to flesh out any plot, but after reading your plot, thats exactly the sort of way I would want to do it. Not the plot, just the way you are putting in the christian themes.
I would consider helping you, but I really don't have all that much time because of uni and that. Good luck in getting it together. It sounds awesome.
#594
That sounds pretty cool I've never heard of that magazine, I spose we don't get it in Australia. Could you get a scan of it?
#595
Yeah I use Guitar Pro too. Its very good if you can play guitar and want to make songs in midi. I recommend it.

EDIT: Oh wow, I just realised this is my 500th post. Thats pretty cool. Its pretty exciting I guess, in a way. Yeah, well hmm.

Damien the bear definately. The majician guy was cool too. The old man was cool also for some reason. Of course Alexanda. Hmm I can't say I remember much about many of the other characters. Good luck in developing the sequel, I'll be looking forward to it.

For sure Sam and Max/ DoTT. They are both awesome games, and are classics. As well as the others. I'd say that Grim is my favourite out of them, so get that next, but as Ali, said, 2 is better than 1. I havnt actually played The Dig, but I've heard mixed reviws of it. I still want to play it one day.

Oh and don't worry about the Grim Fandango interface. I played it just after playing Monkey Island 4, which has an improved interface of GF's. It was confusing at first, but I was very quickly immersed in the game.

I'm actually surprised that you have a shop with those games. The only adventure games I could find in my games shop were Runaway, MI4, MI3, CSI and Law and Order. As well as Myst. Not really any of the classics... Except MI3.

A trailer would be good. It would be nice to see the work you have done for this game. If you do make it, just try to keep it brief, and not give away much of the plot etc.

That was pretty funny. I like lame jokes... thats if they are funny and lame. And I guess this one was.
