Yeah i got that error too. The hub is a good idea, cos i've been using DC++ for about 2 months and it is very cool.

The Rumpus Room / Re:Sam and Max Cancelled!

Man that is so bad. I, as with everyine else here wa looking foreward to that game. For a moment there I was thinking that Lucasarts would not go the way that Sierra has gone, and still support the Adventure genre. But it seems I was wrong.

Even the editor at Hyper (big multi platform games magazine in australia) was saying that it was one of his most eagerly awaited games, well i'm pretty sure someone there said that.  I'll find the exact qote when i'm at home.

I dont know if i'm using any pop up blocker. Well I don't think I am.  I use zone alarm, and i am running XP Pro

Hmm this is weird. I'm using the forums, and i'm thinking that somethings wrong.... and then it occured to me that none of the animations in peoples avatars and sigs were animated. They just stayed on the first frame.

I checked the internet settings and the little check box for play animations was checked, so they should be working. I'm using IE6, and this used to work. Its strange that it doesnt now. I'm not sure if its only these forums yet. If any of you have any suggestions it would be helpful.

Heh, this thread pops up again. I thought it never would.

Its a pity I got no money to buy these awesome games in the original boxes, but I don't have a job. Oh well

The inventory is very cool. I've read most of them, although i  have missed the last couple due to being away.

Oh yeah, i think i'm too busy to join the team anyways.

That is cool. Definately has potential. Too bad i didnt listen much in physics, i might have been able to help develop it.
#690
Well not at the moment, but i'm usually listening to anything Jeff Buckley, or Dream Theater... I might just listen to me some Jeff Buckley  i think...

Hmm, i was thinking that you could change them to more useful names, and whenever someone types in an old one, the program will automatically notify the programmer. It may be a pain, but I think then the programmer will slowly start to learn the new ones, and it will help noobs get a better feel for the engine.

Happy Birthday Minimi!

Ok, so now that it's no longer 1st Feb (well at least where i live, theres still another 14 or so hours of your birthday where you live), I think I might hijak (share) this thread  if you don't mind Minimi... (well I contemplated starting a new thread, but i saw this thread here and decided that 2 birthday threads might be too much)...

Cos yeah it's my 18th today (2nd). Yay, now I can legally drink. And thats about it... Oh well I guess you sound cooler if you are 18 rather than 17, sorry Minimi.

Well i'm still stuck on dial up. Dads talking about getting broadband, which is really cool.

I use getright. I used to crack it, but the latest versions have some database thingy that doesn't let you do it. Well, i couldn't be bothered doing that again, so i just leave it as the shareware version.

Man... 5am. Its always the australians who get ripped off. (Well at least in the release dates of most stuff, and once again, the time for the AGS awards).
So i'll probably not be there... again.

Well the ways i've  always done saves, since i was a little kid is this. Well at leats in sierra games. You do the score and the like a word description of where you are eg:
32 woods

But then i got lazy and couldn't be botered naming them so i went kljg (bang on keyboard)and the next few saves wouold be additions to this, eg:
32 woodsfdsgnj
32 woodsfdsgnjhjfhd

And then i would think, hey thats dumb, so i went back to naming them proper. And i saven pretty often. For the older sierra games, we would have like 3 directories of saves for each game. But you needed to save lots in those games...

Woah this is cool. If i had me a GBA i would seriously consider getting one of those fandangled flash carts.

Also, maybe i didn't look hard enough on the site, or is there no way to get Space Quest 3 and others of that version of AGI to work withought alot more programming?.

W00t. I can see darkness. But thats probably cos it says its 2:10am where you are.

I agree, Darths design is alot better imo than the current one. As terran said, its alot cleaner and nicer.
But i want to second Evens idea of having a competition for the design. This way we could have a few different designs to choose from as well as probably having higher quality designs, do to people competing for the best design.

Yeah, leave it in, but don't over do the joke.
