Great work overall, Vel. If you need any help in the future, I'm happy to cooperate.

I also think you should be perhaps getting a sticky thread on this forum.

BTW Thanks for the review of Nick it & Run. You've done me proud, 84% WOW!!!  ;D

Quotesome of the best graphics in an AGS game ever

Quotethe plot is quite interesting, throughout the game you'll meet Osama Bin Laden... ...full of interesting puzzles, funny and punny places and characters.

P.S. Lots of the buggy bits have been fixed now.

Nice!

Proskrito and I are the only ones that have had a go at it, as far as I know.

Check the following thread

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=6285

The only way around it is to make your own font and change characters you won't use (such as #,=,{ and so forth) for the extension characters you choose (á,é,í...).

Both Proskrito and I have made fonts. I can email them to you.

Critics' Lounge / C&C Haunted house room

I'm working on a new game based around a haunted house. I'm just trying to strike the right "style" (if you've played Nick it and Run or Casablanca you'll might recognise my way of drawing rooms).

So far I've tried to recreate the haunte house feeling by putting in a mouse hole, candelabra and a few spider webs.

Still, I think it looks pretty plain.

Please C&C, be harsh.

There's one in the bathroom.

And I think there might be another one in the kitchen, but I can't remember it very well. You'll have to try both.

I really like the back and forward animation.
#512
Definitely.

It's the old school DOTT graphics we love to see.  ;D

I just tried again from my site and I could. In any case I got a few people to dl it last week from different parts of the planet (UK, US, Finland, Australia, Spain) and they all could.

I thinks it's more of an issue with the server not allowing dls at times than anything else, really.

THAT IS AWESOME ART!!!

I haven't seen much like that around.

Keep it up, please.

Does he look a little bit like CJ?
#516
Yeah, maybe you're right. That sort of fades away a bit further down the track, as you get more into the plot of the story. ;)

Good on yer Mills.

It was all just a bit os a misunderstanding.

Good effort Proskrito!  :o

I think you should have a look at the unhandled event function in the demo game global script. THat might help.

I'm on your side, InCreator. It was just a way of presenting your game. Perhaps a bit blunt, but not offensive.

I can't work on a 3D program for peanuts, and I use MIDI music all the time, but I didn't feel your post was having a go at me. Lots of people in these forums say "I hate that interface" or "I didn't like that game too much" and that's ok. People are entitled to an opinion.

You could tone it down a little, though.  ;)

QuoteI can't get your site to work, but from what I hear, I don't really care for this game. Until you finish a game, and put all the work involved into it, I don't think you can make fun of other games and maintain any credibility

The game looks cool and I'll play it once it's released. I do give you full credibility given what you show for yourself at your website. Just the same as there are lots of other people who post a few screenshots and get credibility even if they don't finish the game.
